I LOL'd as I read the Timeline Events again today. According to our semi-serious-but-not-really board timeline, the Republic lasted from 835 to about 846 as a major faction. Meaning the whole government lasted about 11 years.

Which is even funnier when you notice that the timeline places the GA from 847 to 849. Making the GA only about 2 years old.

Who knew?

I'm thinking the Republic might have had as many as eleven Chancellors along the way. That's an...inspiring...turnover rate.

Well technically since time is relative the amount of years the Republic lasted, or how much time passes between events, could differ from one character's perspective to another depending on the strength of gravity that regularly acts upon them. Spacer characters who frequent the void would have the most accurate understanding of time passage when characters who spend most of their time on planets, especially those with stronger gravity fields, would perceive the time as going slower and therefore would think more time has passed between the events.

So in other words through science babble there's actually a way for some characters to ICly seem like Republic lasted longer than 11 years and they changed chancellors at normal intervals while at the same time to other characters the Republic switched them anywhere from every month to every year.

For the sake of comparison, the Omega Protectorate had five Lady/Lord Protectors: Cira, Tegaea Alcori, Ayden Cater, HK-36 and Sarge Potteiger.
