Dune Rhur
Freedon's Nadds
Closer and closer she came towards him, her words full of vitriol. Even then, he didn't move, but he was ready. Dune wasn't the most powerful wielder of the Force, but this close and with this much time to focus...he almost pitied her if she chose to attack him. Surely even a neophyte such as herself could sense it this close but her rage blinded her.
"The Emperor is not a male or female, but an idea. Sith Lords may have killed him but another will rise up in their vanity and greed. The cycle will repeat once again, the underlings driven by jealousy as always."
He didn't tell her that, if the Sith Lords could set aside their petty differences, they might sweep up the galaxy like so much cosmic dust. However, the infighting kept them at each others' throats. Driven by negativity, it granted them temporary power and ultimately curtailed them in the grand scheme of things. The Bith's lips quirked into a small smile.
"You say we're beyond reproach, that we ignore half of the Force. Your Lords are much the same, then. Tell me, if we are so beyond reproach, why has their been a schism within our Order. We do not ignore the Dark Side, we acknowledge it's power and we also know it's dangers, We understand the Light is a longer path but ultimately more rewarding. We do not simply dismiss it out of hand as weak because it doesn't yield results right away."
"The truth?," he asked as his eyes took in her hilt pointing at him "The truth is: the Sith seek immortality, but never will they achieve it. By not surrendering to the will of the Force, they ultimately hinder themselves in the end."
