"It seems everyone is already doing something."

Kahlil glanced down to Valery s he helped to steady her and smiled. All manner of people, more than willing to leap forward into action to help protect themselves and others. Most, anyway. There were some that had chosen to prioritize themselves first, though perhaps he shouldn't be so harsh on his judgement. Some people just weren't made to help the fight.

"If you're steady, we'll head out immediately."

Black ichor and rotting blood sprayed across Ranna as she pulled her knuckle blade from the skull of an undead. She ignored it as her blaster came up to send a particle bolt through another's eye as it rushed her. Huge vines had risen up and encircled the camp along with grass. At first the Mandalorian had thought it another part of the attack, but they had gone still after forming their wall and were now helping stem the flow of undead.

With the immediate area clear, Ranna reached down to pull up a fallen Rodian by a fistful of his clothes. "Get going, find something to use as a weapon!" She roughly shoved him in the direction others were running to get him moving. From there she used a short burst of her jetpack to get up to the curved roof of a prefab. She had to get a grasp of what was going on and that meant higher ground where she could see over the chaos of the tents and prefabs. Crouching low so as to not silhouette herself against the sky, she scanned the camp looking for more trouble or where defenses were being made. Over by the mobile command center was one such location, but more ships seemed to be coming in.

"I'll be okay," Valery assured Silas Westgard Silas Westgard when he made his over and expressed his concerns, "Go out there and help people," she told him and just like everybody else, he did just that. Even with so many people from different groups, they all knew what to do. There was no time to sit still and wait — they needed to take action before more worlds fell. Right now, it meant swift action. Every second lost was another person turned into a beast.

Looking up, Valery smiled at her husband and dipped her head, "Sorry about that, I'm alright now." She pushed herself up to kiss his cheek, then reached down to grab her lightsaber.

"Let's get them."

With her free hand, she nudged her husband along and rushed out of the meeting room and into the streets of Taris. Plumes of smoke were rising up everywhere in the city from the ongoing fighting, and drop pods were still coming down. Some were intercepted, others managed to break through.

"Love? Where do we start?"

TARIS

Two Rocs would only be enough to carry a total of sixty of the Talons' one hundred four members but given the situation below she knew that they'd need all available transport. Running out of the bridge she issued her next orders in the comms. Two platoons will have to go and support Jonyana instead

It wasn't long before Minerva got onboard one of the borrowed Rocs being amongst Passi Se' platoon. The craft lifted out the hangar with its twin flying under fighter escort. Briefly checking her blaster pistols' targeting system while standing Minerva then looked to the orange colored Natolouan in green and brown fatigues who bore an air of quiet confidence. Passi was her newest platoon leader having replaced the previous lieutenant Jol Fedd who was killed in a speeder accident while on leave in Commenor.

"Ready Se?"

Smiling at the question Passi.

"I was born ready."

Turning back to the engine device they brought with them. They watched a couple of their engineers make final adjustments. They got a little present for the Sith crews that were raining the undead upon Taris, something special just for them.

"Just hope that thing does the job."

"It will. We just need to deliver it and hold out until the device is primed and set."

Soon enough the transport began to shake violently and took evasive maneuvers but still maintained course. Minerva and several of her commandos were tossed about. Grunting, she forced herself and looked and saw the engineers holding onto their company's 'present'. Admittedly the Mandalorian hated not being able to fight back in this situation but she had no choice until they reached their destination. The intercom came online.

"Fifty seven seconds till we reach the hangar!"

Getting to her Minerva shared a nod with Passi who just got a bruise in the left eye from earlier shaking. The latter gave her platoon orders.

"Get in formation!"

Doing so the commandos faced the ramp with weapons at the ready and then it opened revealing the Sith hangar with a gush of air. Roaring in battle cries they rush forward before leaping out and flying forth in their jetpacks. They were joined by Ricon's platoon from the other drop ship. Instantly they were exchanging fire with the Sith crew.

The fighter circled back around toward the two figures, one He recognized immediately the other was a fire bug apparently. He had known one of those a long time ago, He had made her armor as an honorary Mandalorian by order Of Gil Skirata. He followed the callout and began opening fire on the marked pods, The wing configuration made The Yavin class fighter almost look like a tie interceptor with shields as it ate distance and left debris in its wake.

"Good work." He spoke into His helmet as the com unit patched into Mia's buy'ce, "Order's Liberator? And who's the firefly?"

He pulled up sharply blasting through a few more pods before looping back for another run and falling viral pop cans.

The combined efforts of the Alliance, Arceneau Trade, Mandalorian Protectors, and other volunteers were in full swing as they worked tirelessly to evacuate the area. With each refugee boarding the ships, a biostamp was swiftly applied and scanned to track them. Despite the efficiency, there were still panicked souls who rushed onto the ships without waiting for proper processing.

Fortunately, the experiences gained from previous evacuations, along with the sacrifices made on other worlds, enabled a more organized and expedited process this time. Chaos and the threat of the virus had left many stranded and dead before, but now, there was a sense of coordination that hadn't been present in previous crises.

With no vaccine or cure available, the forces were trained to implement specific plans in the event of contact with the undead horde. Quarantine protocols were in place, and no mercy could be afforded to those proven to be infected, given the rapid transformation into mindless frenzied beings.

As the stragglers of the undead emerged from surviving pods, blaster fire erupted, aiming for double-tap kill shots to bring them down. Droid reinforcements were on their way to attack the undead from the rear, adding another layer of defense.

Danger pressed forward near one of the refugee shuttles, her blaster at the ready as she provided cover fire and urged the injured to move quickly. In the distance, she spotted Ranna Sejast Ranna Sejast holding her ground with her companions. With a silent prayer, Danger hoped for their survival and the swift departure from this dangerous situation.

Fighting zombies in armor was practically cheating. One tried to bite him, only to find armorweave and beskar, as Drego swung around and planted a handaxe into the jaw of the stiff, before blowing the zombie's head off with his shotgun. Another came behind him, and Drego spun around and hit him with his wrist mounted disruptor pistol. Drego was making a mental count at this point of his kills. Fifteen now. Sixteen as he threw his handaxe right into the skull of another, rushing over and kicking the thing down to pull the axe out of the deadhead, and unloading a grenade into the chest of another.

It was often said that you can't stop forces of nature. The 2nd Shock Troopers were once called that, and Drego lived up to that standard. Of course, the Maw would say otherwise, wanting to move heaven and earth. Drego didn't bother with metaphors himself. He was down to his last shell in his shotgun, so he put that on his holster and pulled out his blaster pistol, firing six clean rounds into six clean kills. He was having fun at this point.

TARIS

It was absolute mayhem inside the hangar. The Talons flew in and around like angry insects trading shots with the Sith troops and crew members present. All the while the gunships provide additional covering fire as they stay levitated. Kicking a Sith loyalist in the chest as she landed, Minerva blasted him in the head before shooting another in the back with her other pistol. Double explosions erupted yards away on the south side, the heat so strong that she could feel it briefly before it died.

Volleys of hostile shots from the opposite side forced her to roll but before she could fire in that direction the trio of Sith troopers were hit by a frag grenade, exploding in their midst. They were thrown in various spots, two dead and another screaming in agony with hot shrapnel stuck to his left ribs and upper leg. He was immediately silenced with two blaster bolts in the chest area. Passi wielding her assault rifle landed next to her with the famous grin known among her people.

"You're welcome boss. No need to say thanks."

Though the helm masked her face Minerva smiled back before they reloaded their weapons with their backs to each other they rotated around shooting at the nearest targets. The commandos' greater mobility gave them an edge but they were still suffering casualties. One bolt struck a Talon's jetpack and sent the soldier out of control to his fiery death following the jetpack's detonation. Another commando, young Bith female was shredded by repeater fire and dropped sideways. Minerva avenged her death with rapid four shots gunslinger style into the enemy heavy gunner who fell face first.

The Mandalorian's comms lit up with Sumi's voice.

"Cap the package is all set. Let's get out of here."

"Copy that corporal." She answered before flying up and Dassi followed suit. Minerva then issued the order to the comms.

"Everyone back to the gunships. We are leaving!"

Hearing the order the surviving Talons compiled using their jetpacks to close the distance from the transports.

"Somebody help! Me and Sek are pinned near the downed bomber to the north side! His legs are shot out and his jetpack damaged!" A frantic voice called in the channel causing Minerva to twist around.

Quickly she spotted two of her commandos staying behind a wrecked bomber as enemies kept them down with overwhelming fire and were about to outflank . Without hesitating Minerva turned around and dived in.

"I'll go after them. Everyone else keeps going. That's an order!"

Knowing they were running out the armored warrior fired her jetpack's missile at the flanking party killing and crippling five in the following blast. Subsequently she unleashed all of her whistling birds(twenty four in total) from the jet boots. With their iconic shrills the small missiles scattered across the immediate area hitting and eliminating the hostiles trying to rush the downed invaders.

Landing next to them she saw Sek, a Rodian male crying in agony with his lower legs mostly gone and what seared in third degree burns. Looking at the near human Reial who wielded a heavy repeater and was reloading Minerva said.

"Your own jetpack still working private?"

"Yes cap.” as he fired bursts back to the enemies recovering

"Drop your gun and grab ahold Sek with me. We're flying out together."

Without another word, Reial let go of his weapon and helped Sek up by the right shoulder, who was crying and cursing in Rodianese. Minerva holstered her pistols and took the left shoulder. Within moments they flew their wounded comrade out away from the wreckage and toward the gunships making a flying pass for them to enter the launch bay. Those onboard were providing cover fire led by Passi herself. They stopped as the trio landed and helped them inside.

The bay closed and the gunship sped out at full throttle and back into space where the allied fighters and bombers were pulling back from the Sith frigates. They had been notified of what the Talosn delivered onboard. Two minutes later the frigate that they boarded and then left was suddenly engulfed by a massive EMP blast. It was so bright that it could actually be seen down on the surface like that of another sun though briefly.

Once the light faded the allies from their cockpits and the command bridge would see the frigates completely offline and dripping dead in space. Without power all of the Suth ships' systems failed. Those in the hangars were sucked out into the vacuum of space and the drop pods were floating aimlessly. Taking advantage of it the allied squadrons flew in destroying the pods that carried more undead then soon made short work of the frigates with several attack runs.

Without further reinforcements dropping in the zombie horde already on Taris would be only threat that remains.

Mia let Liorra Liorra lead, there was an anger in her that needed an outlet, but she watched her closely. Adrenaline and bacta would only keep her going so long, even a girl of Kerrigan's decent had her limits. After a beat, she shot for the next drop pod to cross their path, punching a hole in a view port, heart coursed through her, exploding from her palm to engulf all within.

She kicked off, falling back as Ordo Ordo came back around.

"We need to take as many of these pods out as we can, then we'll need to hit the ground and support the clean up." she replied. "As for the firefly... that's Liorra… I think she's from Kerrigan's line."

She put on a spurt of speed as he peeled away dropping more pods and she caught up with Lio, the two of them skipping ahead of Ordo, marking targets, the trio carving a hot line above the city desperately trying to limit the problems dropping towards their allies.

[sorry for the delay!]

Not so distant blaster fire made her look round, Sula contemplated it for a moment before deciding it was not her problem there were enough meatheads on this world that could handle a few undead, they didn't need her help.

Also, she didn't want to give it.

She had her own mission. The samples they had collected on Yavin were good, but the virus there moved through consumption, these samples were more direct, a purer form of the virus for better analysis. Besides, she'd be lying if she didn't find it somewhat enjoyable pulling them apart. Her comms crackled, updates crackling through.

Something something undead, Sector A something something Sith escaping... heading towards sector D...

Sula stopped. Wasn't that her sector? She sighed. "Skiarta, reporting from sector D, did you say a sith heading my way?"

"Affirmative Skirata, took off on a speeder, coming from the north of you."

She heard the distant whine of a speeder engine, drawing closer.

"Copy that."

Well now she had to get involved. A burst from her jetpack took her to a high vantage point, following the noise of the speeder heading towards her. She'd never hit him, but she had a pretty good arm. She plucked a sticky grenade from her belt, spying the speeder incoming, a good overarm throw landed it on the bonnet, there was a beat before it exploded.

As she dropped down towards it, she really wished Shev Skirata Shev Skirata was with her. Her was far better at this than she was.

The Arceneau Trade droid guards swooped in, a timely arrival amidst the chaos of rampaging undead. With their assistance, the threat was swiftly neutralized, allowing for a more efficient evacuation process to unfold. As the droids bolstered the defense, the focus shifted to hastening the evacuation efforts.

Danger breathed a sigh of relief as the majority of refugees found refuge aboard the ships. However, her relief was tinged with concern. She promptly messaged Aeri, hoping to secure a sample of the virus for analysis. Perhaps with their own investigation, they could devise a solution.

For now, it was imperative to depart before further complications arose. There were still arrangements to be made with the Alliance regarding the refugees' relocation, medical assessments to conduct, and ensuring everyone found their designated families.

And they couldn't afford to overlook the possibility of passive carriers among them, necessitating swift quarantine measures.

From the vantage point of a solarium glassteel porthole within an evac ship, Danger gazed out, contemplating the escalating chaos. Without a cure in sight, the situation threatened to spiral out of control.
