Asking the Spirit for aid and to lend its gifts to her wasn't something that was new to Reina. Not at all. It was something she had been doing for a while now. At first it had been an instinct of her's, when she had needed it the most though recently she had started to figure out how to use it willingly.

In Reina's eyes, the air wasn't the Force. No, it was the Sea itself. The Spirit. Though whilst she might have thought the concept of it being the air ridiculously, she could see the viewpoint. The air could be tainted like the Spirit. After all, all you had to do was go to an industrial planet and see how easy it was for you to breathe for that point to be proven.

For now, Reina reached out to the Spirit. Letting herself connect to it, feeling the brush of it against her skin. It was a familiar feeling, she had always felt the wind pushing against her back, pushing her to move in a certain direction in life. Currently it was pushing at her from all sides, which just meant to Reina that she was exactly where she needed to be.

" Greetings and good marrow." He rasped and returned a with a skeletal like hand.

"Greetings, gramps," Pan greeted with a lazy salute.

"I would like to teach you all how to ask the Force to allow you to control the wind."

Oh. That wasn't meditating at all. Suddenly this strange little expedition had become a lot more exciting. A grin spread across the Neti's wooden face as he considered everything he might be able to do if the wind was at his back. Asking the wind for help seemed right up his alley.

After all, nobody was more in-tune with their surroundings than a tree.

"Sounds awesome," he nodded. "What do we do?"

Foster did her best to try and hide her surprise to the mans rather grumpy attitude. Someone had woken on the wrong side of the bed today! Still, her eyebrows raised slightly as she silently studied the captain and his unquestionable commitment to his duties.

''I know who you are...'' she confirmed calmly as the handshake ended and she put her hands behind her back. ''As a matter of fact, captain... I'm not really here because of the views from your renowned battleship... and, I'm sorry for my unannounced visit...'' she continued, having heard of captain Halperns and admiral Liram Angellus fate at the Hapes Massacre, and as a fellow officer that had gone through similar experiences could very well imagine how he felt. ''I'm here with a proposal for you! Something that involves you, your ship and crew, where all of it is organised.'' Kathryn added, turning her head from looking out of the viewport and towards the captain. ''And don't worry, you won't be answering to me...'' she finished with a slight smirk, letting him know that she noticed they might have got off the wrong foot.

Okay, he might have been “grumpy” before, but he was indeed working so that others could enjoy the show. They work hard for him and many had in the past, so he had no issue with giving them a break like this once in a while. Now this… woman comes on board and does this? Pulling his own hand away and going back to work he listened to her “proposal”, which wasn’t anything to this point.

Make your proposal, Colonel. He was still working, but managed to forward what he was doing to a datapad so that he could stand next to her and speak more quietly, and candidly. His tone was a little more calm and relaxed, not because of her impending offer, but because he knew he was setting a bad example for those under him.

... as long as you understand that any consideration that I make is for them, my command, and my crew. If it affected only I, then we would not be talking right now. She would have been thrown off the ship. He continued, So, if your proposal benefits them, I'm more than willing to listen. Otherwise… He just let that last word hang in the air.

"Simple." Jonyna chuckled. "Ask it nicely."

To her, it had always been that simple, but she knew she owed them a better explanation, so with a chuckle, she continued. "The Force is alive. More than you all realize. I suspect you all have felt it at one time or another. On the Sea, in the Stars, with the Wind. All of these are manifestations of the Force, speaking to us. Pushing us in a direction, towards being something greater. The sith believe it to be the Force guiding our destinies, shaping fate. They're wrong. It's more...a good friend, trying to encourage you in moments of importance. Giving you that pat on the back, warm smile you need."

She once more twirled her hand, before pushing it outward towards Phoebe Winsloe Phoebe Winsloe , but not with a telekinetic push, but a gust of wind. "And occasionally, if you ask nicely, it'll do something for you. So, talk to it."

Mia righted her posture on the fluffy couch that threatened to consume her.

It was comfortable in theory, yes, but it require much more work to keep her body align and back straight. Mia never thought she'd miss the hard chairs that speckled the formal areas of her home. This damn thing was making her back ache.

"Oh wow," she breathed, as the viewing platform was engulfed in a blinding cascade of white light. She felt bodies stop and turn around the room. One figure even plopped onto the cushion besides her.

"It's beautiful..." She told them. And it was. She had only been at the academy for a week and already she... A tear rolled down her cheek.

Always on the path of enrichment, BB-610 would have been crazy to turn down such an open invitation. His records of Bardotta are woefully lacking, and so with the added incentive to record such a unique phenomenon, it was no surprise to see the astromech right alongside the plethora of Jedi he routinely serves.

He coos, entranced by a gorgeous display of shifting hues most vibrant, every last photoreceptor glued to an array of fireworks, each more breathtaking than the last. The Noble children will love them, he's sure — his droidbrain is already running rampant with the amount of holoprojections he can conjure up from thi——

THMP.

Alas, with his assortment of eyes tunnel-visioned, his hubris has caught up to him . . . with a harmless bump, BB-610 has backpedalled against one of many couches and, more importantly, the set of legs perched atop it. Head swerving around, his central optic peers up at the owner of said legs.

Ever so sheepishly, BB-610 bweeps out apology after apology, a flurry of sorries and I'm so clumsies all tangled up in one long string of flustered binary as he wobbles from side-to-side, regretful.

Mountain Meditation
hOcO9Gq.jpeg
Phoebe sat in the lotus position, drinking in the fluctuations in the force, especially as the winds controlled by Master Si passed over her. She could feel the power of the force in the wind; it was odd, but as Phoebe continued to open her mind, she could feel not just the force as empowered by Master Si, but just a trickle of the deeper power of the force, the power of the stars themselves.

Phoebe pulled back. She wasn't quite ready to experience the force like that. She had nothing to prepare for such a flood of power and awareness, even at such a relatively low scale. It was like comparing standing in front of a firehose rather than an entire tsunami, both were too much pressure for one person to withstand.

Struggling visibly with the aftereffects of peering a bit too deeply, Phoebe reached back out. But this time she didn't let everything flood at once, rather, she let the connection to the natural force open more slowly, like slowly turning the temperature up in the shower until comfortable.

Colonel Foster still had some difficulties to come to terms with the mans still grympy attitude, and could not for the stars understand why he held onto it. It was not like she physically stood in his way and prevented him from carrying out his duties, right? The situation reminded her somewhat of her first meeting with Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red and that patrol mission they carried out on Geonosis when she was in service with the CIS. Where did all these grumpy, arrogant men crawl up from?!

... as long as you understand that any consideration that I make is for them, my command, and my crew. If it affected only I, then we would not be talking right now. She would have been thrown off the ship. He continued, So, if your proposal benefits them, I'm more than willing to listen. Otherwise… He just let that last word hang in the air.

If captain Halpern had known her better, he would have known that they shared that exact opinion down to the smallest detail. It wouldn't strike Kathryn to do something that didn't somehow benefit her crew and was good for them.

''I know, captain. I know. What would we be if we didn't see to our crew and always have them in consideration? A bunch of rotten Imperials? I'd think just like you if I was presented with such a proposal.'' Kathryn assured the captain, with a chuckle at the end at her own example of what they would be if they didn't. She turned from the viewport and straight towards the captain where he would be working and - hopefully - listen at the same time.

''So, about that! I take it you know of the first expeditionary fleet, third carrier line, commanded by commodore Kathause?'' Kathryn begun, and with hands behind her back took a few steps closer but made sure she didn't come to interrupt his work. If this man was unique and could do two things at once, he could listen to her all while he tended to his duties. Although, it was kind of rude to do so before a superior officer, but Kathryn would let it slide for now.

''I have her blessing to offer you a place in the the line. Front command. Working closely with us to patrol and defend the Alliance's outer borders. You'll be a part of the first line of defence...'' she accentuated the later part and gave it a moment of silence. ''You can take your crew and your ship, fighters and support vessels with you, just as they are right now. I imagine you have them already organised exactly to your liking...'' she continued and stood straight awaiting the captains answer. ''Teamwork, makes the dream work... don't you think, captain?''

Okay, am I the only one who sees how weird this is?

He wanted to go off on her, how she just waltzes onto his ship, no regard for protocol, or respect for ranks and right onto a bridge she wasn’t cleared to be on. Then she goes and throws this spot on a border patrol like it was some great prize. What in the bloody…

No… this would be good for the crew. I can’t make this about me.

His demeanor did not “soften”, but became “less grumpy” as she was looking at him like his ex, expecting him to not be listening to herHe didn’t know whether to be annoyed or impressed by her audacity. Still, he had to admit, her confidence was something else. He’d seen seasoned officers falter under less pressure, yet here she was, unfazed. Maybe, just maybe, she had potential after all..

I’ll be the first to admit that I can be a bit of a twip. However there is a purpose for it, so people like you, outsiders, will hate me and not my people. That being said, what I didn’t appreciate was the pomp and circumstance for something that could have been done over comms. He was still working, but his attention was on her, what she had said, and how he would diplomatically craft his response.

I really don’t know what you are expecting out of me. I don’t mean that disrespectfully, but this is… well it’s a weird way of offering someone a job who wasn’t even looking for one. … and now that it sounded like the conversation was going one way… take it the other… That being said, this isn’t about me. This is about them. My command. He looked around the bridge. So, I will have to talk to them about it. This is not my decision, it is theirs. He already knew the answer that the majority would give, but it was theirs to give.
