Galactic Empire Name Change VOTE!

I suppose I need to better outline the way the Imperial system works, its based off the real world but that doesn't make it less confusing lol.

All land in the Empire belongs to the Emperor (including the Chiss Ascendancy). The Emperor "loans" land to individuals either for life for for eternity, and these individuals receive a title signifying this. These are the Jun/Gyon/Bahn/Yovshin/Barons. They rule the lended land in the Emperor's stead, collect taxes, enact laws, etc. However everything they do must conform to Imperial law, and everyone is still a citizen of the Empire. Juns, which are like Kings in their own right, receive the special privilege of being able to lend their land and designate their own lesser titled individuals.

The Chiss Ascendancy is a Jun-ship (for lack of a better word), the Atrisian Empire would be a similarly separated territory underneath the over all Galactic Empire. So Akio would be both Galactic Emperor and Atrisian Emperor with a regent running AE while Akio governs everything.

Grand Admiral, First Order Central Command
I would say try to have only one Imperial title. It sounds better that way, so you only ever have one Emperor even if you end up with multiple Juns/Kings. It's basically just semantics, but having Akio be 'Galactic Emperor and Emperor of Atrisia' dilutes the impact, I think. See how it comnpares with 'Galactic Emperor, Jun of Atrisia, Protector of Csilla, Guardian of all things FLuffy, etc. etc.'

And tacking on to your last post, it would seem to me that each rank of nobility would have a 'typical' amount of territory they controlled. Those with higher titles could hold multiple lower ones as well.
Jun - Sector
Gyon - System
Bahn - Planet
Yovshin - City/Estates/Whatever

So basically a semi-feudal system, albeit with much better infrastructure.

Edit: Totally forgot you have Moffs and the like in this system as well. Not sure how that would work, possibly a matter of who holds immediate authority over whom. So say Moff's report directly the Emperor whereas the nobility report to their direct liege (i.e. a Baron reports to a Bahn who reports to a Gyon etc. etc.). In that case it would seem that Junships are a special administrative designation, given to a place like Csilla because of historical or cultural reasons. Or if we were to integrate a place peacefully then make it a Jun-ship to give it higher status than just another Imperial Planet ruled by a Moff.

Just throwing ideas out there, anyway.

@[member="Akio Kahoshi"] that explains a lot... Doesn't mean I was completely awake but thank you and I get it better now. I'm going back to my family house where all I have to do is prey to Emperor Akio first under heaven and light of order in the universe.

More or less everything you said is about right. A title is also based off wealth of an area. Atrisia has many Gyon, Bahn, and Yovshin on a single planet.

The way I think Moffs work is they are the "federal" government, and represent the Emperor's authority. Noble titles give a certain level of authority in their own area. The rank chart has them listed. Jun's authority is only lower than the Emperor, Executor (which we currently lack) and Grand Inquisitor. Gyons, the next title, is much lower in authority. However in a Jun's territory, moffs would be handled differently. Not sure if assigned by Emperor or Jun there.

In the Darkness there is Truth
I'd stick with Moffs being appointed by the Emperor. They're a central government authority after all...and thus would also have to keep an eye on the Juns. Much like the Old Empire's Moffs oversaw the local rulers of the member states.

BTW Rotsu was kind enough to make this for us.

I will ask staff to switch it out when the name is made official. I finally have a day off tomorrow to recharge.
