No, it's an option. There are HRD's, but there's also living breathing versions of people who are still alive in this mirrorverse.

What if there was a mirror universe clone... that was exactly the same? No change, minus perhaps a couple of experience filters given the different galactic history?

Obviously I can't think of an instance of where that would be possible for MY characters, but I feel like conceivably it COULD happen, right?

I think you're overthinking the set-up.

If someone wanted to keep their character's personality the same in a wholly different universe, nothing wrong with it.

The point here is a chance to explore an alternate version of your character, a what-if situation.
