..I figured that the Tier 3 was for the entire hex.

The T3 is for the entire hex; but if part of it is claimed by another faction, you do not get those planets.

The only way to claim a planet within another Major Faction's influence cloud is via an invasion or through the Rebellion of a Recalled Major faction.

Gotcha. I was just told by a bunch of people that only the name of the planet was in OS territory, but not the planet itself.

It's all good though I'm working with the clarification!

They are incorrect, the planet itself is in One Sith Territory.

The Name is what isn't.

Sorry to butt in, but I have a clarifying question on this.

Say a faction were to do a T3 dominion of a Hex. Could they, at their discretion, elect not to take dominion over one of the planets in the Hex? Or is it an all-or-nothing proposition?

The tiered system states that the net gain is the Entire Hex. All or nothing.


TIER 3

Post Requirement For Completion: 150
Any Member Can Join: Yes.
Any Minor Faction Can Join: Yes.
Gains: Entire Hex


However, with a Tier 2, you can select whichever planets you want in the hex.
