Description:

Prototype and developed outside Voss in SSC space, and field tested at Starbase Alpha Nixen, Korriban Proper; the Gem's Coat is another shining advancement in short-range EVA space suit technology. The design itself was created specifically for Extra-Vehicular Activity in shallow vacuum space missions as well as deployment in hazardous terrestrial environments under stressful physical conditions. The suit is armored with modern materials to provide better combat durability ratings and to endure high suit-stress lab testing. The glasteel visor is specialized to counter deep space flare mitigation during space walk.

The glove itself allows for 4 hours of Life Support during spacewalk. However, additional equipment can easily be added to accommodate for even longer duration's. Though, galactic safety standards recommend duration's of no longer than 8 hours to account for common hygiene conditions and the glove's water-based coolant replacement.
