Jessica was there, dressed in her light-blue dress, which was more appropriate for occasions like a political rally. Just outside the Imperial box, where several high-profile members of the Imperial administration were waiting. The Techno Empire took advantage of today's gladiatorial games at Stalgasin Memorial Stadium held prior to the rally proper; the Executive Council knew that the Geonosian populace wouldn't show up for ordinary rallies, and that the only way to get the people of Geonosis to hear the direction they intend relative to their public policy, especially after the debacle on Ryloth, is to make major announcements during the gladiatorial games, held three times a week. With a few gladiatorial games being held before the key moment, Jessica begins reviewing the contents of what she has to say, out of the cameras' view. The other light-sided Imperial Force-trainers are right behind her for the time being, even though they will not appear on camera. They wait outside the Imperial box because [member="Herr Vanderhing"] was to deliver the first speech.

"I am to talk about how we pledge to defeat our historical enemies: the Hutt Cartel and the Sith Triumvirate"

"The Hutt Cartel I can understand, they used to raid the space lanes in the asteroids of Geonosis out of the asteroids. But the Sith Triumvirate poses no real threat to Geonosis, or even Hypori/Siskeen: they are locked up somewhere on Ruusan, trying to repair the damage from the last raid on Ruusan" Julie told Jessica.

"As with other Sith factions, the Triumvirate pursued bread-and-butter heavily; they spent nearly all their resources during the Eighth Battle of Ruusan, when the Silver Sanctum armies attacked their capital. But it was a pyrrhic victory to them" Catria commented.

"The Sith Triumvirate took advantage of the Techno Union's collapse to even hold Ruusan in the first place!"

Herr Vanderhing stood on a large balcony within the stadium. It was large and was where he would usually sit for executions and gladiatorial matches. He walked forward, out into the light and began speaking

“Good evening people of Geonosis!! Who is ready for THE STALGASIN GLADITORIAL GAMES!?!?” The crowds began cheering and shouting as he continued on “Before we start we must discuss something of great significance on us all! There are monsters on this planet!! Those monsters are the SCUM AND VILLAINY THAT WALK THIS BEAUTIFUL PLANET!!! I.E THE CRIME AND CRIMINALS!!! More specifically the Hutt Cartel and the Sith Triumvirate!! They have been a plague on this planet for years!!! NO LONGER!! We will cleanse our planet of this disgusting threat to our very beings. THESE MONSTERS WILL PAY! THEY WILL PAY WITH MONEY! AND THEY WILL PAY WITH BLOOD!! I urge you dear people to rise up and help us remove this threat by reporting everything to Techno Empire officials! DO NOT report to city police officers!! They sit and DO NOTHING!!!! SO HELP US REMOVE THE HUTT CARTEL AND TRIUMVIRATE SCUM FROM OUR GLORIOUS PLANET!!! ALL HAIL GEONOSIS!! ALL HAIL THE TECHNO EMPIRE!!”

Everyone cheered the Geonosians made a clicking sort of noise in approval as all the basic speaking speaking people shouted “ALL HAIL GEONOSIS!! ALL HAIL THE TECHNO EMPIRE!!!”

"Your turn, Jessica"

[member="Herr Vanderhing"]'s speech was mostly about the domestic implications of being at war against the Hutt Cartel and the Sith Triumvirate. It merely amounted to declaring them terrorist organizations on Geonosis. Even though she was nominally a Jedi, the very topic of the Sith Triumvirate makes her blood boil: both her old and new faction are enemies of the Triumvirate, so she is persona non grata in Triumvirate-land. The mostly Geonosian audience was still euphoric at the speech delivered by the governor of the planet. But that was perhaps a function of the local police being mostly unprepared to fight Force-users. Meaning that, to her, the local police would be best left to fight the Hutt Cartel. [member="Werah Unon"] was at odds against the Triumvirate and so was she. Yet [member="Jed Kerkov"] was mostly focused on the Hutt Cartel; he didn't seem to have as much of a bone to pick against the ST. But she knew the [second] Techno Union had the Hutt Cartel and the Sith Triumvirate as their main enemies that still have some presence. So she advanced to the Imperial box, next to Herr, where cameras belonging to the Empire's main media outlets are trained at:

"People of the Techno Empire! Our sworn enemies that plague our planet are actually heirlooms from our predecessors, the Techno Union. We shall take the fight to them and so we are now at war against the Hutt Cartel and the Sith Triumvirate! The Hutt Cartel shall find no mercy at our hands, and they shall be punished for their crimes over Geonosis! Regardless of the Hutt Cartel's status towards the Sith Triumvirate, for far too long has the Sith Triumvirate defiled Techno Empire space! We shall push back the Sith Triumvirate to the gates of Ruusan! They will be our instruments of revenge for Ryloth!"

In the staging area beneath the arena floor sat rows of slaves, shackled hand and foot.

"Stand up, scum."

The guard pointed to a bare-chested red Nikto. Chains clinked, but the Nikto prisoner did not look up. A swift jab of the guard's stun baton doubled the Nikto over. He groaned.

"What's your name?"

"A Kajain'sa'Nikto has no name," he rasped.

"Well I guess we'll call you Jain. Not that it'll matter. You're next."

With more prods of the stun baton, the guard urged the Nikto up to a platform already crowded by a number of other slaves. "Remember, scum, you represent the Triumvirate in today's games, so make sure you die fast."

"Where are our weapons?" asked someone from the middle of the forlorn group.

"Ha, funny joke." The guard turned to one of his companions and waved a hand. "Hoist 'em up."

Hydraulics hummed and the platform began to rise. "Why don't we get weapons?!"

The prisoners stirred, restless. Above, an open rectangle showed the skies of Geonosis. The arena awaited. Some of the slaves cried. Some swore. Others said nothing at all Near the top, a sullen Twi'lek glanced down at the floor below.

"Don't," rasped the Nikto, features impassive.

The Twi'lek smiled at him, "I'd rather take my chances with the ground." He leaped headlong off the platform.

Jain's leathery face barely twitched at the sickening crack of breaking bone. He squinted up as the platform emerged into glaring sunlight.

"BEHOLD," boomed the voice of an announcer, "THE HATED TRIUMVIRATE SITH."

Forty thousand voices jeered.

Jain, for such was what they called him, took a deep breath and stepped out onto the hot sand. The granules conjured up memories of home, but this was not the Burning Moon Range.

My work is not yet done.

As a rule, Sith didn't do much on general principle. Not what most would call principle, anyway. But every once in a while, a moment demanded a visible response.

He doubted he could have explained the insult to the locals if he tried. Could they understand that declaring war against a defunct representative of the Sith identity challenged all those who shared that identity? Failures the Triumvirate might have been, but they were still Sith, and one didn't simply claim enmity toward Sith without affronting the rest. Akin to a straw man argument, you might say -- and that kinship only grew when one considered the inferior stand-ins about to be sacrificed. To name these prisoners representative of stronger enemies was to insult those enemies, and all Sith by extension.

Velok shambled into the arena. The heat saturated his fur with sweat; wind-blown grit accumulated in his pelt. His ratty old robe was in no better condition. This kind of heat induced misery, or tried. Part and parcel of being a Sith was acceptance of privation, refinement through discomfort, self-discipline in the face of opposition. He could turn this manifest irritation into raw power if necessary.

About twenty metres from the wall and the gate, he squinted, looked around at forty thousand spectators, and ignited a blood-red lightsabre. Some messages didn't need to be verbalized.

Mala Arar was not a woman of sentiment. One hardly could be, amongst the Sith.

But everyone had their moments, and Mala's moment was seeing a shaggy Whiphid ignite a lightsaber in front of a crowd of bloodthirsty peasants.

She didn't know [member="Velok the Younger"], but she did know a Sith when she saw one, and she certainly knew what one here meant. That was a riot in the making, and she simply couldn't pass up the opportunity to partake. The young Acolyte slowly, calmly stood up from her seat in the arena. Then, she drew her blaster from its holster, and fired a bolt into the air. "All Hail the Sith!" was her cry, a blatant reversal of [member="Herr Vanderhing"] 's earlier rallying call.

Now, at this point, most people wouldn't stick around. Most people would run back to their ships, or retreat to a safe distance, or, just generally, you know, put a safe distance between themselves and an angry mob.

Mala wasn't most people. She ran, don't be mistaken, but she ran through the crowd, sewing discontent where she could. A few well-placed words here, a bit of tampering with the mind of a citizen who looked to be just a bit on edge...The best part was that she didn't even have to plan or do much careful consideration. These people were already angry.

The woman stood silently in the shade of the vomitorium, the heat of the world nearly unbearable, and to make things worst it was the damned sun that caught her ire. A soft hiss escaped her lips as she stood silently, arms folded over her chest. The armored clad figured kept her eyes upon the area though, watching as the slaves were brought forward for the pleasure of the crowd. The loud roaring and shouting, pledges of a new empire rising in the Galaxy, it caught her attention if for nothing more than to keep an eye on those that could cause problems to the Order's endeavors in the region. Shifting slightly, the clinking at her waist resounded softly in the empty corridor, the two lightsabers shifting against her armor. Though this woman was no Sith, nor was she a Jedi; much less a force user.

A soft smirk crossed her lip as the crowd was worked up into a fervor before the proceedings were handed over to a young woman. Though what caught her own eye was the bright burst of red as the lightsaber was ignited. Now her attention was fully upon the begin, coated in fur and heavy robes. Permitting herself a sign of excitement, her tongue flicked against her elongated canine, brushing against the pointed tooth.

"Now what do we have here?"

She mused to herself while watching before hearing the bursting scream from the blaster pistol. The crowd erupting in a clamoring collection of loud clicks and noises of panic. A soft sigh escaping her lips once more as she leaned against the wall.

"At least it won't be as boring as I thought it might be."

Slowly she knelled down, taking up the helm at her feet before slipping it upon her brow. Stepping forward, she gave it a moment as she slipped pass a few of the spectators as she approached the edge of the stands. Her eyes falling upon those in the area before her attention shifted up for a moment. Golden hues fell upon the spectator box holding those that were making speeches, and she merely watched them. She wanted to see their reactions before her attention fell back to the crowd rushing about to flee from the chaos.

Then those hues fell back upon the slaves in the area, the noise of the beasts being released pull her attention to the Reek that came charging out of the gate below her. Silently she stepped up upon the edge of the area, her hands carefully drawing the twin longswords at her waist. The blades shinning and shimmering in the heated sun of Geonosis before she merely dropped down, driving both blades into the head of the beast. It was unfortunate, as she had a liking of those majestic beasts, though it was best to put this one out of its misery.

Slowly she rose, drawing both of the blades from the beasts split skull, a flick of her wrist throwing the blood off of the blade. Another hiss escaped her lips as she looked up, her hand coming to shield her eyes from the sun for a moment before she looked towards the slaves gathered in the center.

"What have you gotten yourself into this time?"

She mused to herself as she rolled her head, cracking her neck before rolling her shoulders back. The armored female standing quietly now, slowly sheathing the two blades before stepping towards the slaves. Her eyes falling upon them while also watching the spectators in the stands. The Techno Empire, the Sith Triumvirate, the Hutt Cartel, all factions with something to lose, and it seemed that at least the Techno Empire had an axe to grind with the other two.

Honestly, it was a wonder that Tubal was even able to get into the arena without tripping every form of security along the way. Fortunately with a few well placed mind tricks and a rather large cloak he was able to get through. The beskar sticking out of his back did enough to scare anyone else off sufficiently from sitting at the topmost seats at the arena with him.

He was rather angry now, see. It was promised that he would get to see sith die. He had hoped that he would get to see some weak acolytes get their limbs ripped to shreds by simple arena beasts. Even if he had sworn his loyalty to the sith that he had once loathed only months ago, he still felt insulted that he could be compared to filthy slave. He considered letting the insult slide and merely watching these slaves die. But there was a single key phrase that had been spoken by [member="Herr Vanderhing"]

"reporting everything to Techno Empire officials"

Any spell that he had held on the crowd near him was broken as those disgusting insects stared at him in fear and anger. Honestly the Tower hated charismatic speakers.

Tubal was at a loss of actions as he and the Geonosians before him stared eachother down, neither party really knowing how to react at that given moment. Within those short seconds, a Whiphid ignited their lightsaber, and a woman who, it seemed, had at that moment, of all actions in her life that she could have taken, decided to declare her loyalty to the Sith. Or, more likely, she was one herself.

Blaster fire scared away those wretched bugs as they flew past him and through gaps in through the arena's back wall in fear. At this the tall Umbaran stood up and threw off his cloak, or tried to, but it got caught on the blades that protruded from his back. With more force the cloak was torn off in an intimidating display. To whom the Tower was unsure, but it made him feel in control and in power as he revealed the fusion of armor and man that was he. Not a cyborg, no, but an abomination created through vile magic.

Drystan wished he'd thought to purchase popcorn.

As it was, he was left without readily available snack foods as, sitting on the bottom rung of seats, near the arena floor, he watched with interest the conflict that seemed determined to take place. He hated public spectacles such as the executions that had been scheduled, but he had a greater purpose today, and so he was prepared to ignore as much as possible the barbaric entertainment that the self-styled Techno Empire had put on in favor of observing the Empire itself.

He was less than impressed.

It was the outer rim. Empires, dictatorships, slave worlds. They all popped up with relative frequency, and while Geonosis was not close to his people's interests, the galaxy as a whole was worth watching, just in case some particularly offensive group sprang up. The rhetoric that their leaders were putting forth today was interesting, at least. They seemed determined to make enemies among the Sith and the Hutts, and if so, Drystan certainly wasn't going to interfere. Let the enemies weaken one another, and swoop in later to claim victory.

Still, as he watched combatants appear as if from every corner, paying particular attention to the Sith who looked vaguely...goaty...he was a commanding presence. Perhaps a higher-ranking Sith? Curious. He'd never even seen the species that this particular one belonged to before, prompting further investigation.

For the moment though, he was just a spectator. Genosians buzzed around him, and some glanced his way, but he was far from the only offworlder who had purchased a ticket for today's proceedings.

Withdrawing a commlink from a pocket, he dialled in a code and waited for a moment. This might be of interest to his commander, after all. [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] it was then. He made sure the comm had a view of what was taking place in the arena. He waited for the comm to activate, either leaving a message or a direct call, it was hard to tell over this distance. "My Lady, I apologize for the unexpected contact, but I felt you might be interested in proceedings here on Geonosis. It would appear a new Empire has sprung up in the name of defeating the Sith, who have arrived, as you can see..." He panned to the red-saber wielding...male? He assumed. "Though they just held public executions, so it would appear all parties are guilty of crimes. I'm requesting orders."

Vanderhing stood jaw dropped and furious at the commotion, his rally had been ruined by blaster fire and someone shouting 'all hail the Sith'. His Geonosian crowds began to scurry off in fear and two other figures pulled out their light sabers. Vanderhing rushed up to the speaker shoving several people out of the way. He picked up the speaker and shrieked "*GUARDS! GUARDS!* KILL THOSE TERRORISTS, THEY ARE ENEMIES OF THE STATE!" He tapped his cane hard onto the floor for emphasis and pointed in the direction of the blaster fire his robes flowing with his movement. As he pointed and his robes flowed hundreds of Geonosian guards fluttered from behind him in swarms. He had ordered several Geonosians to be armed with large bags filled with small grenades. As the Geonosian guards fluttered to attack the terrorists the few with bags with small grenades in them were flying above and throwing the grenades into the arena. Vanderhing spat into the speaker once more "Exterminate those PESTS!!!" His voice didn't sound like a Neimoidian's. It was uneasy and now very shakey and angry. He watched as the little brown insects fluttered towards the terrorists attempting to kill

Somewhere far away and certainly not on Geonosis, Siobhan had been taking care of her orchids when she was suddenly contacted by one of the newest agents of Firemane's Force-using branch.

An 'Empire'? Sounds like a fancy name for a tin pot junta to me. Especially if they're making a spectacle out of executing people. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. That guy looks like a Whiphid. I fought a powerful Sith of the same species once, but he was confirmed dead ages ago. Since both groups seem equally repulsive to me, don't engage in hostilities unless your life and limb are at risk. Observe what's going and report back to me.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear."

Location: Stalgasin Memorial Stadium, Geonosis
Objective: Observe and Report (Codex Development)
Allies: N/A
Neutral: TSO, Techno Empire, Order of the
Rightous Flame
Enemies: N/A

It was quite the task for Kandra to maneuver through the throng of crowds at the stadium under
cloak. The risk for the Apokkan to be crushed underfoot by unwary spectators remained high. She may have had an easier time moving around whilst visible, but in the Outer Rim, there was always the very real danger of someone deciding to pluck her up for a snack later. In her brief stint in the military, there was already a line of corpses of those who had tried.

After about a half hour of nimble dodging around rowdy Genosians, she finally made it to the upper levels of the stadium where there were fewer spectators present. She didn't need to be close in order to carry out her mission here, which was simply to observe the proceedings.

The event kicked off with a series of gruesome public executions. From
Vanderhing's
speech, the Techno Empire seemed to be running off a platform of standing up to what remained of the Hutt Cartel and the Sith Triumvirate, but the Outer Rim native saw no difference between any of the powers with brutal displays like this. How could the Hutts and Sith be called monsters, in an arena renovated by the Techno Empire to revel in violence and death?

There was much eye-rolling through the first round of speeches, and she was ready for some more during the next. However, a change of plans came as, incredibly, the Sith made their appearance. The first one to appear uttered no words, but the ignition of his crimson lightsaber conveyed a powerful message all its own.

At least in her corner of the arena, a hush would fall over the spectators as many struggled to process the scene before them, but then chaos erupted as the spell was broken by blaster fire. TheApokkan was forced to vacate her seat as the mob rushed past her former location on their way to the exit. Higher, she traveled with several powerful bounds until she was clear of the mobs.

A giant wrench had just been thrown into her plans. Her first instinct was to vacate the arena in advance of the inevitable fighting, but this development was just too hard to pass up. For now, she would remain and see where this all led while trying not to get fried in the crossfire.

[member="Jessica Med-Beq"] [member="Herr Vanderhing"] [member="Jain"] [member="Velok the Younger"] [member="Mala Arar"] [member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"] [member="Tubal Sahon"] [member="Drystan Talroth"] [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

"We can only fight the Triumvirate at home for the time being. Only when the Hutt Cartel is kept out of this sector will we be able to actually attack Ruusan. For now we are on the defensive but this time around we will fight the Triumvirate right here" she told the other two Force-trainers, upon her going away from the balcony.

Hmmm... so the Hutt Cartel convicts fell a lot faster than the Sith Triumvirate ones? And the Sith Triumvirate's lackeys forcing the crowd to flee? Geonosians were a little barbaric, that much she had to acknowledge. What they failed to realize was that Jessica used mechu-deru to reprogram a few EG-5 units for mission parameters, in effect forcing the Sith Triumvirate's lackeys to fight through the Imperial trap. Only when the EG-5s fall will she personally enter the fray. And she somehow sensed that the ST's lackeys were, well, insulted. They think that an attack on one Sith denomination was an attack on all of them. Yet [member="Herr Vanderhing"] unleashed mostly stun grenades filled with Bothan spores, while the Geonosians made sure to prioritize the confirmed Sith. Plus that made her question why the Techno Union even trusted the One Sith to begin with. The Sith Triumvirate made them question their attitude towards Sith, knowing that the Knights of Ren, and with it the First Order, were not Sith: they are different dark-siders. Unlike Ryloth, this time around she will not back down. Upon usng Force-sense to scan the arena for who was friendly, who was suspicious, and who was hostile, she returned the following results to communicate to these lightsaber-wielding droids:

"Confirmed targets: [member="Mala Arar"], [member="Velok the Younger"], confirmed friendlies: [member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"], [member="Drystan Talroth"], people of suspicion: [member="Tubal Sahon"] [member="Jain"] [member="Arisa Yune"] [member="HK-36"]"

"People of suspicion?" Julie asked.

"People that the EG-5s will not engage until they themselves attack the EG-5s" she responded, before turning to the EG-5 units. "Now, go forth and drive these Sith Triumvirate vermin off our world!"

[member="Drystan Talroth"],

Would hear heavy footsteps behind him, the droid approaching to stand next to him, wrapped in Jedi-esque tunics and concealed underneath a robe. Drystan would probably recognize HK as one of the other Firemane agents, the machine recently took an interest in the region considering everything that was going on in between his hunt for the Hutts, the incident on Ryloth, and now the conflict on Geonosis and its orbit.

"This planet is a mess."

He simply said to the Eldorai man, watching over everything that was happening.

[member="HK-36"]

He confirmed his orders, ending the call just as the heavy thud of footsteps against the ancient stone of the arena behind him. The Eldorai half turned, hand dropping to the bolt pistol at his hip, before realizing who it was.

He knew of HK-36 by reputation more than in person. The Droid seemed to be everywhere, and was well known to be one of the mist highly respected agents of Firemane. He nodded slowly, rising to his feet as all hell broke loose in the arena below

"It should be interesting to see what the Sith does," he commented, indicating the red sabre wielding Whiphid, "At least this debacle is taking place far from home. If it were closer I would be concerned."

[member="Jessica Med-Beq"][member="Jessica Med-Beq"][member="Herr Vanderhing"]@Jain@Mala Arar[member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"][member="Tubal Sahon"][member="Drystan Talroth"][member="Arisa Yune"][member="HK-36"]

Masked figures! Gunfire! Battle droids! Grenades! All very exciting. The bulk of the hostile attention directed at Velok, for the moment, was made up of grenades. In better circumstances, he would have liked to do things with those bags of grenades. Perhaps the opportunity might yet present itself. In the meantime, he had to focus on repelling and diverting the nearest grenades. Once that was accomplished, he took a few pounding steps toward the nearby wall and leaped. There'd been a reason he'd stayed so close to the wall and the gate.

One clawed foot snagged the top of the gate, and Velok leaped again, barely ahead of the grenade barrage. The second jump took him the rest of the way up the wall.

He landed heavily in the middle of the crowd.

Mala needed to think quick.

Hunter Droids on the move, geonosians approaching her position...airborne. The young Acolyte grinned a wicked grin and aimed her DL-44, taking a shot at one of the flying guards. Krak went the pistol, and boom went the guard. Well, that wasn't entirely accurate. Boom went the sack of stun grenades that he was so conveniently carrying.

Spores exploded in the air, coating civilians below and other guards alike. It certainly wouldn't take them all out, but it might damn well make them rethink their next move. As for Mala, her next move was clear; take a hostage, get to her ship, and leave this frakking planet behind.
And then the Whiphid landed.

I really should run. That's the most logical thing to do. And it was true; running would probably end best for her.

But staying would be so much more fun.

Mala was by [member="Velok the Younger"]'s side in a heartbeat, offering him a curt nod...and, of course, a blaster at his side.

Vanderhing saw a droid that was recording the entire event and waved his hand for the droid to come over. Vanderhing grabbed the droid's camera with one hand and held the speaker box with the other and announced "People of Geonosis, you see now that our glorious planet is being invaded, by, MONSTERS!!! These FREAKS are attacking and butchering our brothers and sisters!! I urge you dear people know who the enemy is!! Who are the people slaughtering our friends and family behind me!!! For no reason other than us executing COMMON THUGS!!! This will not stand!! We I beseech you all it is up to US to YOU to remove these MONSTERS FROM OUR GORIOUS PLANET!!!! They will soon know there place in the Techno Empire and on Geonosis!! I have said it before and I will say it again!! ALL HAIL THE TECHNO EMPIRE!!! ALL HAIL GEONOSIS!!!!" The recording spread across the planet like wild fire and through the announcers and soon those watching the recording and those scurrying around the amphitheater arena rose both their fists up and shouted "ALL HAIL THE TECHNO EMPIRE!!! ALL GEONOSIS!! ALL HAIL THE TECHNO EMPIRE!!! ALL HAIL GEONOSIS!!" Vanderhing then continued to shout while holding the shaking camera "Let the Geonosian Guard show these FREAKS who the dominate power!! These TERRORISTS WILL NOT FRIGHTEN US!! WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN!! ALL HAIL THE TECHNO EMPIRE!! ALL HAIL GEONOSIS!!!" The people soon continued chanting the same thing over and over again non stop.

Snap-hisses of sabers announced the arrival of Sith and in their wake, chaos.

Blaster bolts flew from the Techno Empire guards and winnowed through the huddling knot of slaves. Bodies fell. Jain stood silent in their midst. Sand turned to scarlet mud beneath his feet.

A Geonosian picador circled the terrified slaves, seeking to maintain order with swift jabs of his long static pike. Jain stepped out from the ranks of prisoners. The picador whirled on him and stabbed viciously. The Nikto moved with the swiftness of a desert storm, side-stepping the thrust and moving in. He wrapped his fingers round the haft of the pike and yanked, dragging the picador from the saddle. A swift stomp crushed the Geonosian's throat.

The picador's mount galloped away. Jain stepped back and twirled the pike experimentally.

Seek and the desert will provide.

He turned back to the group of slaves. Blaster bolts kicked at the sand around his feet. Explosions rattled the arena floor. His voice rose over it all.

"Your freedom waits. No mirage. Take it."

The slaves looked at each other, then let loose wild yells and fell upon the nearest Geonosians.
Jain turned deep set eyes toward the stands, where the Whiphid with the red saber stood defiant. Jain began moving in his direction.

Werah stood in the meeting chamber of his palace on Geonosis, thanking the envoy in front of him, and saying goodbye to the hologram nexy to the door. As the blue light flickered out, Werah sat down, almost in shock. Mass executions? Fighting in the stadiums? Werah was confused, he had not ordered this. True, Werah bore no love for the Triumvirate, but still...he closed his eyes, deep in thought. They were turning into the very thing Werah had tried to destroy. Why was there fighting? Werah had served in the TU army, and had participated in many wars, but that did not mean that...Werah sighed, shaking his head. Chemical detonators would be located under the stadiums, along with reserves of hulking Z-5 droids nearby. Werah took out his HoloPad and brought up the controller. His finger hovered over the detention button. "What should I do?", Werah muttered to himself. "If I kill them all...are we any better than them?". Werah had alway strove for a balance. War was often necessary, but something like this...no, it couldn't be allowed. This was horrific. Werah had advocated the attacks on the Hutt Cartel to stop this kind of behaviour... Not all was lost however, there was still time to set things right. He doubted that the fighting could be stopped now, however, as both sides were to engaged to be able to stop now. Werah swiped to the side on his HoloPad, and pressed the button....

----
Around the stadium, in a circle miles wide, fast shining metallic poles began to emerge from beneath the sand. They glowed blue for a second, and then blue streaks shot out of them, converging directly above the stadium. A massive "BANG!", emanate from the sky, and a sapphire blue orb appeared high above the stadium. Then, a voice rang out, eerily strong, worming it's way into the minds of those who heard it, making them listen. The voice was layered with tones, that made it seem impossible to disobey, the word ringing throughout the area. "STOP", it said.
