Strengths:
- Shoots like a cannon: This sniper rifle's punching power is just shy of a Minature Shatter Cannon's. Its ideal for pounding at people wearing armor or some seriously heavy hunting. This rifle's round could pretty easily slam through Light or Medium armor and do some ugly work to Heavy armor. Even if it failed to pierce armor, the organic being behind still has to worry about the kinetic force--which is strong enough to cause internal bleeding, broken bones, hemorrhaging, and other deadly things that can still mess your day up--or kill ya.
- Covert: Locating the shooter of this weapon is going to be a pain without equal and nigh impossible. That makes this weapon favored by assassins, snipers, and those who just like to prank-shoot their friends in the butt and run off laughing.
- Retractable: This weapon can be broken down fairly quickly and stored in something the size of a dufle bag, making it ideal for transportation.
- Range for days: This rifle pushes the limits of range possibilities, even for a sniper rifle. With a dialed in scope you could see this thing pushing near 2 miles for its effective range.
- Optimized Accuracy: The Ghost has state-of-the-art tech behind it. The built in scope has x10 optic zoom, infared, ultraviolet, heat, and electromagnetic sensors to make sure that in virtually any condition you can see what you are shooting at. In addition to that, the Ghost Shatter Rifle comes with top of the line targeting systems and firing mechanisms that are made to optimize every shot.
- Kicks like the devil: As the great Uncle Ben would say, 'With great caliber comes great kick.' This rifle definitely has that going on. Its not recommended to use this without some sort of support (like leaning back against a wall or laying on the ground or propped against something) because this thing is going to send you flying backwards. You better make sure your first shot counts because if you miss--chances are you won't get a second shot. Even with that the user should be forewarned--they will probably have bruises from firing this thing.
- Bolt action: Tediously time-consuming, bolt action weapons are the worst. You certainly won't be using this thing to mow through your enemies like grass--that is, unless you could some how convince them all to stand in a strait line. In addition, the clip only holds 4 rounds. But I mean, by the time you get to the second or third shot, those near the shots will be able to tell something is up since the bolt action reload time is so egregious.
- Lengthy set up: Even though this rifle can be broken down and set back up in some pretty sweet timing, it still takes a good 60-90 seconds (with lots of training) in ideal lighting. It would certainly take longer in the dark or other less favorable environments.
The Ghost Shatter Rifle is made with one thought in mind: If your going to shoot One person in the galaxy, you better make sure its a shot that counts. Projectiles are launched at ultra high speeds with a great deal of force behind their rounds. The results were pretty great during testing--the rounds could chew through most armors and make a real mess of soft targets.
Of course, while the first thought with "sniper rifle" comes "assassination" the Ghost rifle is pretty amazing in big game hunting and if used right could bring most tanks or hard targets to their knees. Now just because you have the Ghost rifle isn't a pass to ultimate victory, the reload time is pretty slow so the user had better make that first shot count and the kick is pretty serious stuff. Keep in mind every weapon is only as good as the one using it, so if your a lousy shot, this thing isn't gonna magically make you better or pierce every armor.
