STRENGTHSCloak-Be-Gone: Korasa Moon Dust has been shown to have the unique ability to interfere and deactivate cloaking technology. Each grenade contains enough dust to cover a 25m radius with a fine coating of the powdered dust.
WEAKNESSES
Dust in the Wind: As Moon Dust is essentially a fine powder, the grenades dispersion system can be severely hampered just by the presence of a strong breeze. Plan and adjust accordingly.
I See Some Issues: This only works on cloaking field technology. Invisibility obtained through other means, such as optical camouflage or certain applications of the force, cannot be deactivated by contact with moon dust. That said, individuals caught in this blast radius will find themselves covered in powder residue, which could potentially be helpful in spotting them.
Guessing Game: When all is said and done, you still have to have a fairly good idea of where the opponent might be in order to use this grenade effectively.
DESCRIPTION
With cloaking field technology becoming an increasingly common element in the galaxy, the Ghostbuster Grenade was designed by Tricks of the Trade to even the playing field without the need for complex (and often expensive) sensors, tactics or a reliance on the force. Instead this little device takes full advantage of a little known substance found on an equally forgettable moon in the far flung reaches of Wild Space to get the job done with minimum fuss.
Moon Dust.
Sounds kind of cheesy, right? But turns out this magical substance has been shown to have a negative impact upon cloaking field technology, requiring only minimal contact to disrupt and deactivate it entirely. Neat.
With that in mind, the Ghostbuster should be considered more of a dispersal unit than an actual grenade, being filled to the brim with enough powdered Moon Dust to coat a ten foot radius. One simply needs to estimate the position of the cloaked individual/vehicle/etc, pull the pin and nail the throw. If you’re on the money, your foes should materialize before your eyes. If not, well… You’ll come away with an embarrassing story if nothing else. That's something.
The Ghostbuster grenade.
Because playing hide and seek is for chumps.
