Weaknesses:
  • Danger Close: When deactivating the ship's inertial dampners to increase one's maneuverability the forces applied to the pilot's body could cause bodily harm or even death
  • Burn Out: Jumping too many times, too quickly with the Hyperdrive can burn out the heavily modified hyperdrive
  • Burn OUt 2: Flying at max speed for too long can burn out the heavily modified engines engines leaving the ship dead in the water
Description: Designed by CEC, the YT-950 was designed on commission from CorSec as part of its Anti-Smuggling initiative. A seemingly normal light freighter with all the boons and busts typical of CEC starships, a significant number of the YT-950 were purchased and heavily modified by CorSec engineers. The "e" variant of the YT-950 was modified to track and hunt common smuggling routes and were made for undercover agents. This Founder's edition was meant to be given to only the best pilots of CorSec's anti-Smuggling undercover ring however after the One Sith Remnant's assault on Corellia and the Galactic Alliance's subsequent involvement the ship was determined to be a suitable "thank you" and several of these were gifted to high-ranking officers of the GA that aided in its defense against the One Sith Remnant. Agents given this ship were heavily encouraged to modify the ship themselves.

Description: Designed by CEC, the YT-950 was designed on commission from CorSec as part of its Anti-Smuggling initiative. This is the standard variant made by CEC for the general public. It is highly modular just like many of the YT line and boasts above average speed and handling. With a deep and seemingly cavernous cargo bay and its easy of modification coupled with its low price, the ship has ironically become a staple among smugglers and other more legitimate customers despite its original purpose.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Mon Calamari Shield Designs
  • Compartmentalized Construction
  • Extensive Hangar
  • Myrmidon Vertical Hangar
  • Advanced Navigation Systems
  • Ship Mangement Droid Brain
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
  • BYOS: Equipped with specialized vertical hangars in its underbelly, the Starchild, just like its Colony-Class sisters, has the ability to carry 4 Myrmidon frigates
  • Cavernous Hangars: Several Hangars located in the underbelly of the Starchild hold hundreds of starfighters and shuttles
  • Outer Rim Charm: Modified and repaired by Outer Rim Coalition engineers at Silvia Shipyards, the ship has been heavily modified with Mandalorian, Chiss, Mon Calamari, and Quarth technologies making it truly unique including a compartmentalized design and the fast recharging redundant shields of the Mon Calamari.
Weaknesses:
  • Invite Only: Docked Capital Ships count towards fleet limits in engagement threads where limits are specified
  • Engine Blind Spot: With massive engines and limited weapon coverage the Starchild had no way to protect its engines from assault
  • Exposed Bridge: While not the typical bridge tower of Imperial design, the Colony-Class battlecruisers did have an exposed bridge dome. While more heavily armored than typical bridge towers, it was still an obvious weak point in combat.
  • Electronic Warfare: The advanced droid brain-based ship computer can be sliced into either locally or through a powerful electronic warfare suite. What this means for the crew is up to the imagination of the Slicer as the ship computer manages most of the large functions of the ship such as frigate/corvette launch bays, internal gravity, internal defenses, and is tasked with regulating the ship's generator.
  • Home: Technically an Ugly now, it also has many of the typical flaws of uglies. On top of the unfamiliar technology the crew has to deal with, the reactor is incredibly vulnerable powering all of these systems, powerful Ion attacks have the tendency to shut down weapons and fry whole systems despite its compartmentalized design, artificial gravity can sometimes randomly switch off randomly during intense combat, and the crew reported strange smells coming from the Cargo holds. But its home.
Description : The Colony-Class Battlecruiser was a dedicated command carrier commissioned by the Free Worlds Coalition (FWC) some time during the Great Galactic War. Less than a dozen were ever put into service by the FWC before Sith and Dark-Side allied governments wiped the coalition away, scattering its modest military forces to the wind. Many of the battlecruisers would enter Galactic Alliance Service towards the end of the war, acting as carriers and command ships in several skirmishes across Alliance, Sith Empire, First Order, and Galactic Empire space. The Starchild, the second Colony-Class battlecruiser to enter FWC service and the first to enter Alliance service, was heavily damaged in the battle of Fondor where its captain, crew, and part of its battlegroup were saved by Outer Rim Coalition Mandalorian Exiles. After retreating to the Outer Rim Coalition (ORC) world of Manas, Captain Dracken Pryce received word that the remnants of the Alliance were meeting somewhere in ORC Space. With its hyperdrive severely damaged, multiple hull breeches, a busted hangar and dozens of weapons and navigation systems offline, the ORC sponsored shipyard offered to perform extensive repairs to the vessel and its battlegroup.

A hodgepodge of engineers and shipwrights heavily modified the Colony-Class battlecruiser adding bulbous Mon Calamari shield generators across its hull, advanced Quarth navigation systems, and exotic weaponry to the ship to replace weapons systems that were destroyed. The re-fit would lower the total gun count on the battlecruiser, but would in turn allow for better allocation of power and space throughout the ship. The vertical hangars were slightly modified to conserve space and the shipyard's Mandalorian owner even gave the captain several squadrons of Mandalorian starfighters to replace those he had lost in the battle of Fondor. As the repairs slowly churned along more and more Alliance remnant forces and squadrons came to replace those that had been lost in battle. The home of Rogue Squadron was fundamentally changed, but it would live on to fight another day.

Strengths:
  • In Plain Sight: The YT-950's experimental Phase-Shift system allows for Tarc to fly without attracting attention to himself, shifting the color of his starship to the plain browns of a regular YT-950, while also being able to shift his ship into high gear, shedding the plain look for the blood red of Corellian Bloodsteel and a boost in maneuverability.
Weaknesses:
  • Double Edged Sword: While Shifted, though the ship's maneuverability increases, the added power given to the thrusters and maneuvering jets saps the ship's shield, eventually leaving just the Corellian Bloodsteel to protect against other ships' weapons.
  • Burn Out: Jumping too many times, too quickly with the Hyperdrive can burn out the heavily modified hyperdrive
  • Burn OUt 2: Flying at max speed for too long can burn out the heavily modified engines engines leaving the ship dead in the water. Stressing the engines while using SLAM engines increases the risk of catastrophic

Description: Originally designed as a patrol cruiser for the Galactic Alliance, most of the first line of MC42 Cruisers were destroyed during the battle of Fondor. The remaining ships still under construction were smuggled in parts after the battle of Fondor into Outer Rim Coalition Space and constructed there by trusted Soro Suub engineers. Because the original Mon Calamari designs were more artistically and uniquely designed, Soro Suub engineers changed the design to standardize it for ease of use in the Outer Rim where resources would be scarce allowing friendly shipyards to familiarize themselves with the designs.

The MC42 was originally meant to be a patrol cruiser in the relative stability of Alliance space necessitating mostly point defense weapons and ion cannons for stopping pirates in their tracks and capturing would be wrong-doers alive. With the shift into a fight for survival more dual turbolasers were added to increase the overall firepower of the vessel making it a full war time vessel. The ship kept many of its redundant systems however as it was still more than ever going to be serving a role where it would be shipped out alone or in small groups for long periods of time without support.

The MC42 would find its place among the Alliance in Exile's navy as a support ship as well as a long range patrol and strike cruiser for use against the Sith Empire and the First Order.

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Strengths:
Pressure: As one of the few battlecruiser-class vessels in Outer Rim Coalition space the flagship of Battegroup Starchild, the ANS Starchild, outright scares off most pirates and small time evildoers in the Outer Rim.
  • Fighter Superiority: On top of simply holding an overwhelming, collectively being able to field hundreds of fighters, Battlegroup Starchild is home to Rogue Squadron, arguably one of the strongest and most skilled fighter squadrons in the Galaxy.

[*]Weaknesses:
  • Pressure: Paid mercenaries, the First Order, and the Sith Empire are all looking for the Starchild and its massive size and presence in the Outer Rim make it and its battlegroup fairly easy to track.
  • Limited Support: Due to the size of the ANS Starchild, it was decided that limited support would be offered. With only a cruiser, 2 corvettes, and a pocket carrier replacing what used to be several heavy cruisers and destroyers, large fleets will often leave it outgunned.
  • Predictable Paths: While when its out and about it is relatively hard to track, it always returns to Silvia Shipyards to refuel and re-arm if things are going normal for the battlegroup.

Description: Originally a battlegroup serving the Galactic Alliance navy, Battlegroup Starchild saw heavy losses at the battle of Fondor. After retreating to Outer Rim Coalition space and being refitted, the Starchild met with several other Alliance ships near D'qar. After receiving a promotion from the rank of Captain to Commodore, Commodore Pryce was given control of the Starchild again as well as replacement ships for the cruisers and destroyers lost or reallocated after the battle of Fondor. The battlegroup would go on to serve the Alliance remnant as one of its Outer Rim patrol groups, sometimes even venturing outside of Outer Rim Coalition space to aid former Alliance worlds and fight in skirmishes with both the Sith Empire and First Order who both still hunted down the Alliance navy remnants after the fall. Its lead ship, the ANS Starchild, would become a symbol of the Alliance in Exile and would function as a sort of mobile relief base for several Alliance Cells including the famous Rogue Squadron.

Strengths:
  • Hangar: While most ships of its size don't even have the space for hangars, the FarStar-Type CR-37 manages to hold two full squadrons of fighters with space for diplomatic or other shuttles via docking tubes.
Weaknesses:
  • Classic Engine Blind Spot: The large engines indicative of the CR-Series not only block lines of sight for gunners, but also are left unprotected by weapons.
  • Limited to Anti-Starfighter Weapons: Equipped solely with anti-starfighter weapons on the FarStar-Type, there is no way the ship could fight head on with other capital ships without support or incredible pilots.
Description: Designed and put into production several decades ago now the FarStar-Type CR-37 pocket carrier was designed to give small independent governments a reliable carrier that was easy to maintain and modify for their required use. With a large hangar bay capable of holding several squadrons of fighters, the FarStar was invaluable in early post-Gulag Plague conflicts and flashpoints, especially for Corellia, against pirates and raiders, earning it a permanent spot in many planetary governments around the Galaxy.

DESCRIPTION
Designed during the early days of the Republic, the TT-37 was a simple landspeeder design originally made to transport troops and other personnel around various military bases, space stations, and very large ships. After the Republic was taken down by the One Sith the design proliferated into general space, eventually ending up in the hands of the Galactic Alliance. A staple on the large battlecruisres and various military bases, its main purpose was simply moving people from point A to Point B, however after the Alliance was forced to retreat to the Outer Rim many were modified, equipping a heavy repeating blaster cannon turret to the rear of the ship to defend against lightly shielded or unshield airspeeders and starfighters. It quickly became a staple for the Alliance in Exile as a troop and personnel transport as well as a reliable speeder to send into the field in order to retrieve troops under fire.

DESCRIPTION
The TT-48 was an armored airspeeder designed by SoroSuub engineers for the Alliance military. Heavily armed and armored it was a common sight during the early days of the Alliance on military bases such as their base on Sullust. With the ability to be dropped from low orbit they could rapidly insert small squads behind enemy lines. They were eventually eclipsed by the usefulness of the U-Wing, as that ship did the same job and more and was taken out of service. However, after the fall of the Alliance, starships became much more valuable and so the TT-48 was brought back into military circulation as a cheap, more disposable, alternative to the U-Wing and was often deployed alongside the transport ship. Its smaller size was also a factor in bringing the transport back into service as it was small enough to not be picked up by large capital ship sensors, especially if they were looking for starships and fighters.

STANDARD FEATURES
  • The CR-50 Interdictor frigate held all of the current standard military technologies available as well as some redundant starship safety systems such as life support and hyperdrive.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Gravity Well Projectors
  • Advanced Sensor Suite
  • Advanced Hyperspace Detection Suite
  • Advanced Communication Suite
Strengths:
  • Prevents ships from leaving the area via hyperspace
  • Can pull ships out of hyperspace into realspace
  • Can fill an Anti-Starfighter Role when not using gravity well generators
Weaknesses:
  • When interdiction field is active speed and maneuverability are reduced by 1 and weapons systems suffer from reduced energy output
  • Two bulbous semi-circles underneath the main body of the ship housing the gravity well projectors provide a target for starfighters
  • Engine Blind Spot
  • Exposed Bridge
Description: Designed originally for the Anti-Smuggling Unit of CorSec, the CR-50 was equipped with two gravity well projectors to pull ships out of the hyperlanes for searches and to patrol the hyperlanes that cut through Corellian Space. When Corellia joined the Alliance, similarly to several of their other capital ships such as the Colony-Class battlecruiser and its starfighter designs, the CR-50 joined active Alliance service and quickly became a less expensive option to their older interdictor cruisers. The CR-50 required a smaller crew than a full dedicated cruiser and while it held limited anti-capital ship weaponry, its 4 dual laser cannons provided an excellent deterrent to starfighters and smaller ships. The ship was also equipped with a rear facing hangar, making it almost a self reliant ship, able to work well in small groups or patrolling on its own against pirates due to the superior nature of Alliance fighter craft. After the Alliance was forced to retreat to the Outer Rim after simultaneous attacks from the First Order and Sith Empire, the CR-50 became a valuable asset to Alliance Navy Command as its advanced sensor and communications suite allowed for the ship to provide an early warning for incoming hyperspace jumps as well as providing an excellent mobile communications hub for the various "Roving Lines" of Alliance vessels throughout the Outer Rim.

COMBAT INFORMATION

    Strengths:

[*]Description: Ship Defense Force Stachild, often shortened to SDF Starchild, is a regiment of naval personnel dedicated to the protection of the ANS Starchild from would be boarders, with their main objective being to protect important areas of the ship such as the bridge, engine rooms, gun batteries, and hangar bays. Originally a branch of the Navy Police Force, they doubled as an almost independent maritime and military law enforcement team. However with the fall of the Alliance's official military branches, they now serve as the general security team aboard the ANS Starchild, happy to simply protect important military personnel.

The ANS Starchild is one of few remaining battlecruiser-class vessels in use by the Alliance in Exile. Serving as both a mobile home base and flagship for Commodore Dracken Pryce the Starchild provides heavy support to various fleets with its batttlegroup and swarms of starfighters. As a home base and communications hub for several Rebel Cells, it is flanked by one of the larger groups of ships in the Alliance, often sending those ships out on their own missions and operating as a beacon to return to. It hosts the Rogue Squadron, a Fireteam Majestic, and often Jedi of the Shattered Order or even Marshals and Sheriffs of the Outer Rim Coalition. Training of future Alliance soldiers and Rebels as well as various Alliance supply chains depend on the ANS Starchild's protection.
