Girl's Night

Vrag

The Second Seal, broken.
The tension petered away as the offending parties calmed down, and Vrag subtly removed her hand from its resting place upon the hilt of her saber. It seemed that the situation was resolved for now, and she, for one, was happy for the way the conflict had gone. With her immediate concerns done away with, the Sith could concentrate once again on the matter of their funds.

She soon found that the rest of their motley crew pretty much agreed on the gambling method, and she certainly wasn't going to argue the point. Since joining the Sith she'd had less time to practice her card skills, but she was confident that a few rounds would have her as sharp as ever. In the years when she was still wandering around the Galaxy, Vrag had discovered that her innate ability to school her face into submission — doubtless born from years of punishment — gave her a great advantage over other players. Be it Sabacc, Space poker or Pazaak, the firrerreo had been thrown out of more than one joint for cleaning everybody out.

And then the word 'casino' reached her ears.

Vrag burst out laughing, but managed to suppress her initial reaction rather quickly in favor of explaining herself. "Oh, dear, no," the woman said between chuckles, stepping in front of them. "They'll throw us out of legal places the moment we start making big money," she shook her head. "Believe me, I'm speaking from experience. Now, you," she turned to [member="Hera Naroix"]. "You're from around here, aren't you? I'm sure you know a more... dingy bar somewhere downtown where we can actually play. That, and keep our weapons," a small smile curled her lips as she spoke, already running through her usual strategies as she did so.

Hera laughed, "From around here? As in the last few days? Sure. But I was not born here, no. However, that said, how are we to make big money without going to a place where some is to be found? I personally think going to a high stakes match is the best idea if you want a return for the money that is worth the time." She said, then looked around the group, of course pausing to glare at her offender longer than the rest for a moment, "I will follow because it sounds interesting, wherever we choose, but it should be a vote in my opinion."

Vrag

The Second Seal, broken.
The firrerreo smirked, but her eyes remained humorless. "Clearly you've never played in a gambling den, then," she shrugged and motioned to the bag of chits in the blonde's hand. "If we go into a casino with that sort of money we'll immediately raise suspicion. And then, when we take them for everything they've got, they'll set their horde of enforcers and bouncers on our asses and throw us out before you can say 'payday'," Vrag recounted one of her many experiences with various casinos across the Galaxy.

"Listen, every big city has an underground game going on," she continued once she was sure she had their attention. "We win a couple of rounds in some filthy joint, and I can assure you they'll invite us into one of those. And if the criminals try to kill us for the cash... well," a cruel grin blossomed on her face, "we'd just be defending ourselves, wouldn't we? Besides, who's going to call the cops in a place like that?" She arched an eyebrow and looked [member="Hera Naroix"] square in the eye.

Alaki remained silent and chose to listen instead. She was not familiar with those games, despite hearing some of the names before. As a Jedi, she’s been out of contact with reality for the most of her life, closed in the safe confines of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. After the One Sith came and destroyed the only place she called home and she chose to join them over dying by their blades, much had changed in her training routines, yet she still found herself close to the newly built Sith Temple. As she soon discovered, Sith Acolytes have even less patience for concerns outside of their missions and training sessions, meaning they rarely go out to play games. Or so she believed. This meeting wanted to prove the opposite, yet Alaki knew very well it also served as a way to make them stronger in one way or another.

Shifting her weight to another leg, the fallen Padawan’s index finger tapped on her chin. The idea Vrag presented sounded quite beneficial, in every way. Aside from getting credits, they’d also remove some criminals. Of course, Alaki would let her companions do the killing. Her sense of bloodlust was very underdeveloped compared to an average Sith. Luckily for her, others rarely noticed it; in the heat of a battle, all Sith were way too busy with their opponents, trying to slay as many as possible to notice the Chiss being nowhere near as consumed by the fight.

“I am with Acolyte Vrag,” the blue skinned Padawan finally declared, offering no further explanation. The armored woman seemed to know what she talked about and as Alaki had learned, it was better to follow someone with experience in the matter rather than trying to find their own path. Of course, it meant finding the underground clubs willing to play. Again, the Chiss knew nothing about that. She did not know the planet or its people, therefore she’s go with the others. Hopefully the others shared some of their winnings with her once done playing with scum. Not like Alaki needed much; new clothes composing of boots, trousers and tunic surely did not cost more than 1000 credits.
