It was an impossible task to make every refugee in the city feel at home.
They came from a multitude of places across the galaxy; from families fleeing the front lines of the Second Great Hyperspace War, to entire communities trying to find normalcy after surviving the Bryn'adul's attacks on the Scar Worlds. There were so many home planets affected by both events; Ossus, Csilla, Nirauan, even New Alderaan, this planet's sister. Not to mention the many other conflicts erupting like wildfire everywhere one looked.
Alderaan had a reputation of assisting those in need; a noble past of helping refugees find a home amidst the chaos. Alicio was a recent addition to that legacy, but an eager one. He had been tasked with helping the city of Sanctuary grow and prosper, as a place to call home for those looking for one. As the city was still mostly under construction, the majority of the young nobleman's time was spent in front of a datapad, writing drafts for proposals, helping the new citizens with finding houses and occupations, and scheduling meetings with important voices. He wasn't in charge, but his voice was a strong one, projected by his House. And thanks to that, today was a special day.
Today, Alicio would finally see his first project realized.
The inspiration had struck Alicio when he'd been talking with a broken family from Charros IV. Their planet had been completely ransacked and terraformed by the Bryn'adul, twisted until it was almost unrecognizable. A young girl had commented that she missed the high plateaus and smell of prairie grasses where her and her father used to play. Bio-domes were not new technology by any means, but to Alicio's knowledge, creating an entire park out of interconnected domes to simulate a multitude of worlds was. Hence, the Globe Gardens.
Alicio stepped out of his speeder, and stared up at the series of high white towers, pride filling his being. Interconnected pathways were pockmarked by shining transparisteel bubbles. Most were still empty, as the Globe Gardens were still under heavy construction, but one was finished.
An older woman with dark skin and white hair stepped out after Alicio, watching as the young man stared. She chuckled. "Alicio, do not tell me we are just here to stare at the outside."
Alicio clasped his hands together behind him, sending a quick glance back at Ivarra, his bodyguard. "We aren't. We're here to visit Charros IV."
