  • Ammunition Types
    • Standard Penetrator
      • Standard penetrator ammunition is designed for general use, being effective against both armored and unarmored targets. The core is dense tunqstoid, which is encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. The projectile has a rough teardrop shape, for aerodynamic efficiency.
    • CryoBan
      • Designed to release CryoBan on impact, CryoBan ammunition is designed to flash-freeze targets on impact. Regarding its construction, CryoBan slugs are encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. This casing is notably frangible, intended to shatter on impact in order to release the payload. The slug’s core is composed of three parts: the primary cryogenic agent—CryoBan, a suspended pocket of collapsium gas, and a high-strength magnetic containment shell. On impact, the shell fractures, at which point the collapsium destabilizes and implodes to create a localized vacuum. The sudden pressure drop causes the CryoBan to expand violently, potentially freezing targets in a 1-2 meter radius instantly and violently.
    • Controlled-Penetration
      • Controlled-penetration ammunition is lethal and barrier-sensitive, designed to kill armored targets while minimizing the risk of overpenetration and collateral damage. In terms of their construction, controlled-penetration slugs are encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. This casing is notably frangible, intended to shatter on impact in order to prevent ricochets. The core is tunqstoid compressed powder into a sintered matrix. On impact, the slug shatters into pre-formed shards as the core powderizes into a lethal cone, ensuring that the maximum amount of energy is dumped into the target.
    • Ion Disruption
      • Ion disruption slugs are specialized electromagnetic ammunition designed for anti-droid, anti-electronic, and anti-energy shield applications. They deliver targeted ion bursts intended to fry circuits, overload systems, and cripple mechanized threats. In terms of their construction, ion disruption slugs are encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. This casing is notably frangible, intended to shatter on impact in order to release the ionized payload. The slug’s core is composed of two parts: ionized gas that unleashes a charged plasma, conductive nano-filaments which are designed to facilitate the penetration of the ionic discharge into circuitry, and ferromagnetic dust that enhances EM interference. On impact, the slug shatters, releasing ionized plasma and charged nano-filaments which function akin to a powerful electromagnetic pulse in a ~1 meter effective radius. The ferromagnetic dust is released as well, but it functions primarily to ensure that ionic effects linger, potentially causing extended systems disruption that may last after impact.
    • Explosive-Incendiary
      • Explosive-incendiary ammunition is designed primarily for anti-armor and area denial use cases, though it remains effective against conventional targets. The core is filled with solid iadrium, which is encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. The iadrium detonates on impact via a mass-reactive electric fuze, giving nigh-perfect reliability in exploding against both soft and hard targets. The blast has a radius of ~1 meter. However, the fire can spread beyond this, especially in the presence of flammable materials. Pertaining to its incendiary effects, the explosion and fire can reach temperatures in excess of two thousand five hundred degrees centigrade in a Type I atmosphere. The fire itself can burn for up to 30 seconds, though this can be longer if it spreads to flammable materials. Finally, the projectile has a roughly teardrop shape, for aerodynamic efficiency.
    • High Explosive
      • Pure explosive ammunition is designed primarily for anti-armor and area denial use cases, though it remains effective against conventional targets. The core is filled with solid baradium, which is encased in polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. The baradium detonates on impact in a ~1 meter blast radius via a mass-reactive electric fuze, giving nigh-perfect reliability in exploding against both soft and hard targets. The projectile has a roughly teardrop shape, for aerodynamic efficiency.
    • Antimatter Explosive
      • Although primarily intended for extreme anti-armor use, antimatter explosive ammunition is devastatingly effective against conventional targets. Regarding its construction, antimatter explosive ammunition is encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. The slug’s core is composed of a nanoscopic quantity of antimatter which is stabilized in a high-strength magnetic containment field. The field is designed to collapse on impact, releasing antimatter to generate a ~1 meter radius detonation that releases energy in the form of gamma rays, extreme heat, and kinetic energy, capable of vaporizing targets caught inside of it and unleashing a localized blast wave.
    • Seismic Implosive-Explosive
      • Mimicking the effects of a seismic charge (albeit extremely miniaturized), seismic implosive-explosive ammunition is designed for anti-armor, anti-structure, and area-denial applications, but remains devastatingly effective against conventional targets. Regarding its construction, seismic implosive-explosive slugs are encased in a conductive polymer-ultrachrome composite to prevent wear inside the barrel and to facilitate the penetration of energy shields. The core is composed of three parts: a micro-compressed pellet of baradium, a suspended pocket of collapsium gas, and a high-strength magnetic containment shell. Upon impact, the projectile’s outer casing fractures, releasing the collapsium gas first. After this, the collapsium implodes, generating a sound-dampening vacuum (the "silent moment" before detonation). As a result of the implosion, the baradium core is compressed, triggering a fusion explosion. The resulting shockwave has the potential to obliterate everything in a ~1 meter radius, with extreme concussive force.
    • Void Stone Treatment
      • All ammunition types may be treated with synthetic Void Stone. The Void Stone is intended to disrupt Force use, affecting only the ammunition itself.
  • Power and Discharge Systems
    • Verpine Linear Motor and Gravity Coils
      • Power Setting Modulation System
        • At lower power settings, the projectile is imparted with a lower muzzle velocity. Of particular note, a special subsonic setting is also included, which accelerates the projectile to ~340 m/s. At higher power settings, the projectile has a higher muzzle velocity. On full power (the standard setting), the muzzle velocity is roughly 2.5 km/s. However, it should be noted that using the weapon at lower power settings (including the subsonic setting) will quite noticeably decrease the muzzle energy and effective range.

STRENGTHS
  • Can Opener: The Glitter Rose has a verpine linear motor installed within the barrel that accelerates the slug to hypersonic speeds. This extreme velocity imparts the projectile with an extreme, outsized kinetic potential, matching the muzzle energy of an anti-materiel round. Thus, when fired at full power, the slug can punch through virtually all forms of infantry armor (even those made from beskar and materials of a similar grade) with almost contemptuous ease. In addition, the optional explosive ammunition types offer further anti-armor utility, allowing for the engagement of ultra-resilient, heavy-armored targets.
  • Stealth: The Skuggalegt polymer coating makes the pistol extremely discreet, making it very difficult, if not impossible to pick up on sensors or scanners. The weapon also has an detachable silencer, making it effectively dead silent at the point of discharge.
  • Cross Map: An extraordinarily high muzzle velocity allows for engagement at incredible distances with match grade accuracy. When set on full power, the weapon only loses its accuracy past 5000 meters.
  • Metaphysical Repellant: If the ammunition is treated with synthetic Void Stone, they will be rendered extremely difficult to manipulate or directly affect with the Force.
  • Phase: The energy-reflective nature of the ultrachrome (used in the casing of all ammunition types) repels energy fields and gives the slugs a very high chance of passing through energy shields. This allows for potentially extreme efficacy against targets that are protected by energy shields.
WEAKNESSES
  • Double Blade: The antimatter explosive, seismic implosive-explosive, high explosive, CryoBan, and explosive-incendiary ammunition types can represent a risk to the user. A penetrating shot to the magazine could destabilize ammunition cores, potentially triggering sympathetic detonations which risk setting off all of the slugs at once.
  • Storm Surge: As the Glitter Rose exclusively utilizes a verpine linear motor to fire, it is uniquely susceptible to EMP and Ion-based assaults. Unlike a typical slugthrower which utilizes chemical propellant, the weapon quite feasibly be wholly disabled should it be hit by powerful ionizing discharge that overcomes its defenses.
  • Ammunition Weight: Although more efficient than conventional slugthrowers which require propellant in order to fire, the Glitter Rose needs both physical ammunition and power cells. Thus, compared to energy weapons of the same class, the weapon’s ammunition is less mass-efficient.
  • Blast Back: Antimatter explosive, seismic implosive-explosive, high explosive, CryoBan, and explosive-incendiary ammunition types will likely pose a severe hazard to the wielder if they are used at particularly close range, especially if the shooter fires at a target while inside the blast radii of the respective ammunition types.
DESCRIPTION
Constructed for Hanna, the Glitter Roses are Verpine shatter pistols produced on an exclusive basis. Unlike a conventional slugthrower, the weapon does not rely on chemical propellant, solely utilizing gravity coils and electromagnetism for firing.

In technical terms, the Glitter Rose fires a ~160 gr slug at a muzzle velocity of 2.5 km/s. This projectile is propelled by electromagnetic (Verpine linear motor) means, giving the weapon a muzzle energy of ~32.4 kJ. This is generally more than enough kinetic force for the slug to shatter virtually all types of infantry armor on impact, in addition to being a potentially significant threat against lightly-armored and thin-skinned combat vehicles. As such, the slug’s damage profile has more resemblance to that of an anti-materiel round than it does to a standard slug. Even in the potentially unlikely event that penetration fails, the projectile can impart extreme amounts of blunt kinetic force on impact, generating concussive waves of overpressure that can blow open body cavities, shatter vital components, smash bones, sever limbs, and liquify organs.

All in all, the Glitter Roses add an ultra-lethal, compact kinetic option to Hanna’s arsenal, expanding the diversity and capability of her armaments.
