Good Food, Good Friends [ SJO, GA, Allies]

TC16MjH.png

The Silver Jedi had been here before, not all that long ago, in fact.

For her own part, Valae Kitra was glad to be back. During her last visit to this world, she had been running a medical clinic. There hadn’t been much time to truly take in the serene landscapes of this world. There had been an influx of refugees in need of new homes, and New Haven had been constructed just for that purpose.

Today, the town of New Haven would welcome even more new arrivals.

Following recent events, the Order had offered to resettle former citizens of Galactic Alliance space. The transports had arrived in the last few weeks, and the new refugees had been given shelter, food, and the opportunity to work – the seeds of a new life. Large agricultural, the new residents of the world would have the chance to work the land and reap all the benefits that came with it. Hard times would give way to better ones.

Standing in the town square, Valae hoped that today would start them off on a good note. There was a large white tent to offer some shade and rows of picnic tables lined up neatly. The townsfolk had even taken the time to gather wildflowers from the nearby meadows to help give the space a cheerful feel.

“This really is quite nice, I’ve got to say.” The Grandmaster smiled, placing her hands on hips.

The aroma of freshly baked bread was already in the air, the local bakery was hard at work – for Valae had ordered an abundance of loaves (both sweet and savory), and enough pies to feed a small army. Members of the township had also been asked to bring whatever they would like to share – there were some pots of stew, fresh fruits and vegetables, and an array of comfort foods.

It had always been her belief that food brought people together, she hoped that their friends and allies would drop by as well to break some bread.

[Open to SJO, GA, and our allies! Bring some food and come welcome refugees to their new home on Durkteel. Feel free to explore the town and surrounding farmland as well!]

Yuroic had felt sorry for the residents of Galactic Alliance, their homes destroyed by war and the Sith and First Order looking to take the void space left was a scary thought. He felt proud that the Silver Jedi stepped up, offered rehousing and food. They had been told to bring food, Yuroic had spent all day in the kitchen of his quarters working away. He had not done much in the way of cooking since his exile, during his exile he only really ate bland meat cooked by a fire. There was no way he could do what he had spent all day during his exile, a stew with a large variety of veg, thick chunks of meat and dumplings. He also made brownies, something sweet and allowed him to do some baking, a stress relieving exercise he never got to practice while exiled.

Once everything was cooked and packaged safely. Yuroic grabbed everything and headed to New Haven, it was a new trip for himself having missed the Silver Jedi's previous visit. However, he had large amounts of stew and a mountain of brownies. He looked at the variety of food coming in and smiled warmly before noticing the Grand Master watching their work. He gave a small wave, unsure how to act around her. He never really spoke to her often, his old Master, Arisa was close with her but that was as much as he knew, besides her being a healer. A much better healer than himself too he smirked.

Looking at the food, he wondered if anyone would enjoy his offerings. It had been awhile since he cooked items as fancy as these before, fortunately he found the task easy to sink back into. The brownies were gooey in the centre and the stew was thick and full of flavour. He hoped that the stew would provide comfort while the brownies would be a treat for younger residents.

Everyone had a part to play to day and the weeks leading up to this. Though she really didn’t realize how much she’d actually miss Kashyyyk. Allyson volunteered quickly to shuttle the refugees off the Coruscant and the like. The ordeal reminded her of Corellia, but she did her best not to let that weigh on her mind too much. She used it to keep her awake past the time she should have stopped to take care of herself. Luckily, almost everything was finished and Allyson felt it was okay to take a break.

With a good night’s sleep and a chance to bake, Allyson showed up in a fresh flight suit, half way on her frame. It wasn’t time to be in uniform, so she let the upper half of the flight suit hang off her hips revealing her white tank top undershirt. Seeing the place set up for the potluck, she wandered over and placed the plate of snickerdoodles down and sighed. One night didn’t seem like much rest, but hopefully it would be enough.

For the first time, she let her hair down. It felt like forever since she was out of her helmet, might as well take advantage of this. After setting down the cookies, she looked around. Not many had shown up yet and Allyson blinked surprised that she was one of the first. Had hanging out with the Jedi made her, responsible and punctual? A hand rested against her lips as she thought this over while grabbing a bottled water.

A nod and a smile towards those that were here already, Allyson wandered till she found a seat on a short stone ledge. It was an odd feeling, being early, but she was possibly okay with it. A part of her hoped that some of the members of the Alliance would show up, she did miss some of her old comrades there. The Corellian didn’t want to think about how many were possibly dead, only happy thoughts to day. Unscrewing the water bottle, she took a few drinks and then finally chugged the bottle.

Surprised by how thirsty she was, Allyson played with the bottle slightly, twisting and crunching it in her hands.

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
In the meantime, Ugohr came back to Durkteel where he would be, once again, working the kitchen in his food truck, as he had on Geonosis about a month or so. But this time around, there was no Bardottan chef to cook the pho for him, so he was the one cooking that stuff, and he had to juggle not only that, but also the favorite Gungan nibble among the menu, the breaded fish. However, the breaded fish was much more straightforward to cook than pho was: he could always air-fry frozen breaded fish, while pho had to be cooked fresh. Now, would [member="Yuroic Xeraic"], [member="Valae Kitra"] or other folk recognize him and the stuff he sold? Probably not, but he knew Vee was one for Skor cake, especially since one of those Squibs had a fake-Vee as a pastry chef at the time, and would probably be an executive chef in another restaurant in SJ space by now. Now, what would other Jedi, such as [member="Coren Starchaser"] or [member="Allyson Locke"] want, pho, breaded fish, Skor cake? Regardless of what those other people wanted, he was to be ready to serve it all to all willing parties, and hopefully there would be a few of those Jedi wanting to stand in line to get their nibbles or other foods for the day.

"Nibbles, dark-side cookies, pho, pizza, yousa can get issa all hair"

The wandering knight had started her life on Lorrd and while growing up there had learned to cook the cuisine of her people. A world that was desert and sand with some areas of snow and ice. There was very little on that world that was good any longer, however, the food was wonderful. So while the opportunity was given to help, assist, resettle people (again) and provide some aid, she was there with some food.

To put it nicely, this food was spicy. Not hot enough to burn rubber off tires or anything, but certainly warmer than somebody might expect.

Knowing there were going to be many here also bringing food, Seo did not prepare more than a lamb of her food. She did not forget dessert either. This was a super sweet (to make up for the spicy food) and honey covered, flakey pastry.

One thing the others may not have thought of was a drink. Going as far as she could with what she had, she was able to come up with enough drink to share with a few people. Not as many as she would have liked, but it would have to do. The drink was a super strong and also very sweet frothy coffee.

All her life as a Jedi, Seo had been a wanderer, never staying long in one place and going where a Jedi was needed. So she had no friends and knew very few of the Order. She was a stranger here, but hoped to make some sort of connection with somebody.

Josh hadn't had the chance to get to know the surroundings of Durktee's town of New Haven during their last visit, so it was nice to be able to take in the scenery now that they had the opportunity. With the fall of the Galactic Alliance, re-settlement of civilians had begun, and Durktee had offered to help, which was nice. So it seemed that a celebration was in order. It wasn't really a festival or anything, just a sort of small gathering with food. So of course, Josh had taken his glutton of a son. He'd also taken [member="Anora Vahn"], one of his Padawans, who needed to get out and socialize a bit. His training wasn't entirely all about the training. It was about the experiences and he wanted her to see the galaxy.

Once the two had arrived, Josh would motion toward the food and things around them, as Jason rode on his shoulders. "Alright Nora, feel free to pop around, maybe get to know some folks, get something to eat, you know? Jason and I will be around. Or if you want to stick with us, feel free. But I'm not stopping you from doing what you like. Just don't cause too much trouble" He spoke as he would wave casually and begin his stride down toward the food.

[member="Jyoti Nooran"]

What in the world had Anora agreed to this time? Missions were one thing, being an example in classes was another. Being talked into attending some sort of social engagement? How had this happened? Not that Anora was complaining of course, at least not out loud. Even she knew that her social status was minimal to non-existent. It was just...strange. Despite that fact, she went along and one they had arrived, really it wasn't all that bad.

"I think for now," she started once she had been given leave to do whatever. "That I'll stick around." her shoulders shrugged but she did at least give a look around as she followed her Master down towards the food. "For now at least." yes, she had already said that, but whatever. Until she either spotted someone she knew - not likely - or came across someone to drag her off, she would at least attempt to stay within her comfort zone.

Starchaser was more than willing to take the help to the displaced Alliance. The Jedi Praxeum had helped lift him off the Sith prison, and they were there, in droves, alongside the allies in this galactic balancing act of dark versus light. Hell, it wasn’t even that. It was freedom against tyranny. The Confederacy proved that. But now? No, now he was working to relax a bit. A temporary fix to the missing limb situation was slapped on, and he had demanded the synthflesh cover. No need for him to start looking like a Sith, just be ready to combat them however necessary. Besides, he sort of had people to impress.

He was in meetings with what ship captains that had returned, and the various governors and Jedi. He had a lot of work ahead of him, clearing the name of the New Jedi Order, in whatever vestige it existed in, and reassuring that this wouldn’t be happening again. People knew him in a few faces, with the Alliance, as a Commander, one of the special positions selected by the Late Nemo Ven, and as the second in command of the New Jedi Order. What he needed was to have a sit down with [member="Jaius Sovv"] and company. And re-work the Alliance leadership.

Perhaps remove the New Jedi Order from the equation, at least officially, should the need come.

But again, he was here to relax, in the way the Silvers knew how. Battle-hardened of late, the Jedi Master was not really sure where he even belonged in this group. Walking into the gathering, the Corellian looed around, a few familiar faces here and there. Smirking, he saw one that was really familiar.

Corellian and former Alliance. Approaching [member="Allyson Locke"], Coren nodded. “Can take the girl out of the Alliance but can’t take the Alliance out of the girl, huh? Thanks for the assist." He had a bottle of Corellian brandy cracked and took a swig out before handing it over to the pilot. “Glad for the worlds that haven’t been touched yet.” The group gathered were friends.

And that was the thing that kept the galaxy spinning.

To Velero, it was amazing how much war can change a race or species. To him, war was just everyday life and he was barely changed by it. He learned to adapt, to kill. Ever since he had joined the Silver Jedi Order, The smuggler had turned over a new leaf and was now open to helping people in need instead of leaving them to fester in their squalor. Today would be Velero's first time in helping to make a positive change around the galaxy. He and Clairis, his wife, had heard about the refugees from other worlds taking shelter at a new place called New Haven. When the Silver Jedi Order had made preparations to welcome these newfound travelers to the Haven, Velero knew he would have to welcome them too. He did this voluntarily of course, having no grudge in having to do so.

When hearing about the cooking, Clairis was already making delicious pies and cakes. Desserts were always her specialty. Since Velero could not cook, he decided to at least try to socialize with the other members of the order and to get to know them properly.

...
As the Solar Nymph landed, Velero and Clairis gathered all the food that had been prepared the previous day. The food bad been stored in a freezer in the main storage area of the ship. With their arms full of packages of pies, cakes, and cookies, the couple walked down the landing ramp making sure to not drop anything.

"Oh, this is going to be a lot of fun!" Exclaimed Clairis with a smile hiding behind a container of white seed cake.

"Oh yes, lots." Velero would promptly respond, but in a very sarcastic tone.

The two had finally reached where the party was and all around Velero could see Jedi after Jedi. It made the smuggler a little discouraged, but he really never believed in that hokey religion anyhow. Clairis walked ahead of Velero and the two would put their desserts next to the other food before looking at each other the way lovers do.

"I am going to go talk with some of these Jedi. You wanna tag along or you wanna go have fun with the booze?" Questioned Velero.

"How about I meet some of your friends here, and then we get go drink together?" Said Clairis.

"Fine by me."

Velero gave a light smile towards his wife before walking close together. The first person they would have to see is obviously the person in charge of the organization itself. The smuggler had learned that his person went by the name of [member="Valae Kitra"]. When Velero found her admiring all that was happening around her and the couple. The smuggler walked up to Valae and exchanged a greeting with her.

"Hello, I am Velero Faren and this is my wife Clairis. I am glad I could come and bring food here to help celebrate a new home for these people." The smuggler reached out to shake Valae's hand.

It wasn’t long before the town square was full of life.

Valae’s heart felt warm and full at the sight of so many people coming to share their food and company. There were some very familiar faces that stood out from the crowd, including Master [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], the talented [member="Allyson Locke"], and the always dashing [member="Coren Starchaser"]. She grinned as the latter two struck up conversation.

The rather tall stack of brownies in the hands of [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] hadn’t gone unnoticed. Even from a distance they looked mighty delicious, she would need to try one (or more) before the day was out. Spotting his wave, Valae returned it with a kind smile. She knew Knight Xeraic from a distance, though she knew of his accomplishments – for she’d followed them even after the loss of his Master. Valae suddenly felt a small pang of sadness; she should have been there for him during that difficult time.

But Valae pulled herself together as a couple approached, offering the two a polite nod. The man introduced himself as [member="Velero Faren"], he looked rather rough around the edges. However, that rugged image was softened slightly by the presence of his wife at his side.

“It’s very nice to meet you both,” She smiled, “I’m Valae Kitra, Grandmaster of the Order. We’re happy you could be here to celebrate with us today. “Please,” She gestured towards the tables. “Your name is familiar; you’re new to the Order, right?”

Unfortunately, her duties did not always allow for face-to-face introductions with all new members. But, she would take the chance to meet as many as she could throughout the course of the day.

It was a time for meeting others and helping one another. Kat also wanted to check out the food, she hadn't eaten all day, mostly because she had gotten so absorbed in her work but also was saving room for all the food that was going to be on offer. Looking at the tables of food, there were definitely things she wanted to try and other items she would happily steer clear of. It would also be her first time on a mission as a potential Jedi as well, she had been working on her Force powers which were unruly. Her sister commented that it reminded her of Kat, which made Kat all huffy.

However, she refused to wear the robes and cloak that the Jedi work traditionally, it just didn't fit her style. Instead Kat had a jacket tied around her slender waist, baggy trousers cover her robotic legs and a grey tank top with oil and grease stains. She was fresh from work, it had been a messy fix so even her naturally white hair had some black staining as well as her pale cheek. Her appearance didn't bother her as much as it would have her mother or sister, her brothers would have laughed and joked that she was just her dad through and through. It made her smile thinking of how messy her dad would get after work.

Kat stood awkwardly on her own for a bit, unsure how these social events get going. She was never one for social interaction or being out going, part of why she was so shy.

The square was already alive with the smell of food, the buzz of conversation filling the air as Asaraa paused in the street staring at the crowd. No matter where it was you went people always hand a tendency to group together, It was almost as if they were social creatures who took security in the fact that there were others around who could talk and share an experience with. In fact, if she thought about it, Asaraa found that she couldn't remember a moment where the Silver Jedi weren't gathered together like this. Perhaps it was something about facing the threat of death or injury in the wider galaxy that made them more intent on celebrating the time they had together. A wry smile tugged at Asaraa's lips as she slipped into the crowd, raising a hand a hand to wave at Charlie as she pushed through the crowd towards another familiar face, she hadn't seen Kat in a while, not since the Sith had staged their surprise attack on Kashyyyk. Gesturing towards the table, floating a brownie over through the air Asaraa nodded amicably at the other woman, "Hey, long time no see. Where've they got you hidden these days?"

Who would today's taker for those nibbles be? [member="Anora Vahn"]? [member="Josh DragonsFlame"]? [member="Seo Linn"]? He could feel that a few Jedi could be tempted by the food truck, but would [member="Kat Decoria"] or [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] be some of those Jedi? There were so many Jedi in one place and he'd never be able to identify all of them. Most of them were unknown signatures to him, but all he could tell, while he was cooking pho, was that there were several Jedi near the food truck in the square. And the real [member="Valae Kitra"] was much more powerful than the pastry chef that used to work for him on Skor before Skor was attacked and the area where she worked was destroyed. Yet, it was entirely possible fake-Vee could be around by now... If yousa have some other cake recipes for usen to eat, itsa oursa to eat, he thought, while the pho was boiling inside the kitchen's main cauldron. Before he left the food truck, with the other cooks manning it, he sought out where that fake-Vee set up shop, hopefully dragging Asa, whom he knew was the only client he could readily recognize in the Force. But his face turned red when he realized Asa just wasn't the red Togruta he served steak to.

"Yousa want some cake? Mesa know where dat special someone operate hersa bakery"

Allyson pulled out the pair of aviators that were standard issue withe the rogue uniform. Placing them on her face she looked up, though the sun was quickly blotted out by the familiar figure of [member="Coren Starchaser"]. A smile grew wider on her face as she looked at a fellow Corellian. The man was obviously beat up and she noticed his situation with his limb. Allyson didn't call attention to it.

She couldn't help but chuckle at his comment. Allyson will always be an Alliance girl, a Rogue and whatever else she was. She wandered to the Silver Jedi for more than one reason, but they were reasons that she kept to herself. “Yeah, can't help myself.” He offered her the Corellian whiskey and she accepted, taking a swig she wiped her lips with the same hand quickly. Sighing satisfied, she patted the wall beside her and handed the bottle to him.

“Same thing could be said about Corellians hmm? Can break us, destroy our home, but we keep fighting.” Shrugging, “Just like the Alliance, this is just a setback, but we have friends, the Silver Order, Outer Rim, hell even the Confederacy had shown some kindness.” Allyson leaned forward on her knees and ran her fingers against the thick red band of the Corellian bloodstripes that adorned all her uniforms. Her smile faded as she recalled how she got them.

“I’m sorry for leaving. I know that this was something on person couldn't have stopped, but a part of me wonders. So where are you headed Coren? You know you could always find a home here with the Silvers.”

Ever the patriot, he was not going to be against anyone who stepped aside to help with the allies of the Alliance. The Galactic Alliance had provided the bastion of hope and freedom in the galaxy, and if some of the citizens decided to become legionnaires for allied powers? That was fine. It was showing what the Alliance created and who they could help. That made the whole galaxy a bit more safe, and tight knit.

Plus the Silvers were in need of Corellian hot-shot pilots. “Gotta watch the homeworld, but sometimes, you can watch it by watching the whole region. Or galaxy.” He tipped his head and grinned, a bit lopsidedly. “Its nice to have friends. Coalition and Silvers are expected. Remnant has come through in a pinch, and the Confederacy. I hate to say it, with all their Sith in the ranks, but they’ve been key in all of this.” Maybe not the loss, but in having support against certain governments? It was wonderful to see. The Alliance may have collapsed, but he and the remaining brass were helping to reestablish the members into something new.

“Never gonna fault you for taking refuge with the Silvers. They’re good people. Maybe you were needed here, so you could assist the Alliance how you have. The Force works in its own ways.” He shrugged and took another sip. He was trying to keep himself sounding like it was ok, but everything he had risked life and limb for? It had failed.

“These guys giving you the assignments you want?” He grinned, knowing that Allyson was a fighter pilot, she would be taking the jobs she preferred. Hopefully the Silvers had the right tasks.

[member="Anora Vahn"]

"Hey that's fine. You do you" He spoke with a shrug. "By the way, as he was asleep on the ship... I don't think you've met Jason proper yet, have you?" He would inquire as he would then stop and turn toward Anora, kneeling down to let her get a good look at Jason, who had immediately hidden behind his father's head the moment that he saw someone new come close, with a nervous squeak escaping him in turn.

"Heh, sorry, he's a bit shy" Josh would admit with a light chuckle. He could see a few familiar faces around, though, and some not so familiar. Hmm...

It was a good feeling knowing that Coren didn’t fault her for what she did. After her incident on Bastion, she felt so alone within the Alliance. The SIS left her out there to die and she should have known that would happen the moment she was captured. Having friends in the galaxy meant more now to her more than ever. Sighing softly, she nodded with him hearing about the way the other governments provided aid. A part of her wondered where these other governments were when the Alliance was getting slaughtered by the Sith.

She didn’t want to bring that up, no here, not when they were supposed to be relaxing. A smile spread across her face as she thought of the reason why she sought refuge here and the looked towards Coren again. “Ah yeah. Master Nooran came and visited me in the hospital after my little run in with the big boss of the Sith Empire.” Allyson paused and thought back to it and shrugged. She tired to play it down, it was easier to deal with it that way. “I was healed, but I wouldn’t have been able to pilot again. Sometimes when I doubt the Force I just think about that time.”

Patting her legs she remembered the pain she felt constantly that the bacta couldn’t heal. “I wouldn't be walking. The healing I got here and the rehabilitation was unbelievable.”

Her smile turned into a grin as she nodded quickly. “I’m getting to play with a lot of cool fighters. Uh they created a new squadron. I’m the XO of Onyx.” Allyson shifted slightly to try and find the patch of the squadron she was now a part of. “Always a rogue though, they’re a good group - I feel at home finally.” Coren talked about watching the homeworld and she felt her chest tighten.

“Is there any news about Corellia? Terraforming anything to fix what was done?” [member="Coren Starchaser"]

Charlie had bounded off from the shuttle she had arrived on. She was already excited from finding out that her Master wasn’t crushed by the falling buildings during the Coruscant attack. In public, Charlie remained reserved, but alone, she clung tightly to the woman. Now that all of that was over with the young girl was prepared to enjoy her time and see her friends.

Running down, Charlie stopped and watched as a brownie levitated over towards someone. Charlie didn’t care who it belonged to it was a brownie and she wanted it. Bending slightly at the knee, the Padawan used the Force if you got it use it right?, to fuel her jump. Suddenly the little Seoulian flew through the air and snatched the brownie with her mouth for even greater effect. Her hands did their best to keep her long skirt from flying everywhere, despite the fact that she was wearing shorts underneath.

Her boots landed and she chewed on the brownie walking over towards [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] with a wave.

“Oh man these are good you gotta get one Asa!” Looking around she saw others and nodded. Her eyes fell on the girl near [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], she was someone Charlie hadn’t seen before and with a face slightly covered in chocolate from the brownie. “Who’s with Master Dragonsflame?”

Kat noticed Asaraa wandered over to her. A familiar face from a while back, last time had been when some fools tried attacking Kashyyyk. They both worked together to fight a Sith Lord, Kat smirked at the memory, though it was a tough fight at the time she was glad she went through it witb Asaraa. "Yeah, sorry after that I got suuuuuper busy with loads of ships needing repairs and then there was a whole deal about whether or not I had the Force. Which I do. Then I had to figure out whether or not I wanted to join the Jedi Order. Which I did. To finally being able to do some training and be invited to this..." Kat watched as a stranger stole the brownie that Asaraa had used the Force to pull to herself.

Chuckling, Kat couldn't help but find them amusing. "Hi, I'm Kat. I'm a Ranger slash mechanic. Also, I guess Padawan..." Felt odd stating that. She hadn't gotten use to the idea of being a Jedi Padawan, being part of the Order. She hadn't even told her sister whom she shared everything with. Though her sister was dealing with being pregnant and discussing politics with other important Echani politicians. Kat was just keeping chill about her things, her sister cared more about her dating life than her career path. And a dating life was not on the list of things to do for Kat.

Looking around, she saw several more people interacting and talking, all strangers to her though. Just meant that as a Jedi she should interact more with others.

"Hold still, you shouldn't be moving that arm. You don't want to re-open that wound." Tallia said as she gently took the cool, damp cloth from her patient's shaking hand and wiped his warm forehead for him. He was human, in his 40's or 50's going by the salt and pepper hair and prominent laugh lines that tended to deepen over the years. There were hundreds like him, pilots, engineers, civilians who had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. They all needed aid that the Silver Jedi healers stationed on Durkteel were all too happy to provide. It sounded like the escape from Galactic Alliance space had been as successful as any retreat could be, but nothing was ever completely clean cut.

"The healers are the best at what they do, but that fracture still needs time to rest." She stood up from the side of the bed. "I'll go get you some water, that should cool you down."

Tallia had been eager for the chance to get off Kashyyyk when she'd heard about the relief mission on Durkteel. She hadn't been offworld since her memory had been wiped months prior, and to say that she was getting a bit stir-crazy was understating it. She was no healer, in fact her skill in the Force was minimal at best, having been lost along with her memories, but she was more than willing to help in any way she could.

Celeste Rigel, a member of Grandmaster Kitra's Silver Circle and one of the Order's expert healers, had been happy to have Tallia's assistance. She didn't know if it was solely to humor her, or whether Celeste genuinely needed her help, but either way she appreciated getting this chance.

"Tallia! What are you still doing here?" She'd walked out into the main hall, going to fetch some water, when she caught the attention of Marsa, one of the other healers sent from Kashyyyk.

"You were off shift 20 minutes ago! Go outside and get some food!"

"Sorry! Gendyr needs water, I'll just.."

"I'll take care of it!" Marsa laughed, cutting her off. "You need to learn to relax!"

All I've been doing for the past six months is "relaxing"!

But soon, Tallia was out in front of the makeshift hospital, squinting as her eyes adjusted to the bright Durkteelian sun. Her stomach grumbled. Maybe food was a good idea. She followed the small pockets of people lazily towards the center of town, her boots dragging a bit. She was more tired than she'd be willing to admit in conversation.

As Tallia followed the crowd, the smell that wafted from the large white tent in the town square was beyond description. It drew Tallia in, her feet stepping a bit quicker, when she caught the scent in the breezy afternoon wind.

There were plenty of people around the square, plenty of interesting conversations to be had she was sure, but her eyes were solely focused on the food for now.

"Mmm brownies." She practically drooled at the sight of the chocolatey treats. Tallia was quick to pounce on them, taking one, two, four... Maybe that was sufficient, she certainly didn't want to hog the food. There was so much to be had though.

"These are delicious! Did you bake them?" She said to the man standing next to the brownies in between mouthfuls. There were plenty of ways to synth food she knew, but this tasted like the real deal.
