Good Food, Good Friends [ SJO, GA, Allies]

Yuroic decided to try some of the different food others had brought with them. It was interesting to see the variety of flavours and styles of cooking, he was near his brownies when he noticed Asaraa using the Force to pull herself a brownie. He looked at the Padawan with a smirk and shook his head, he would have told her off in a joking manner but she was busy with another girl. Then out of nowhere Charlie bounced on the floating brownies. He was surprised how well received his cooking had gone down. Seemed people were enjoying his brownies more than the stew, something he predicted hence the large amount of brownies in comparison to the stew. However, he knew the stew might be heart warming to the refugees so made a mental note to offer some to those in med tent.

As Yuroic looked over to the tent, wondering if he should head over, he noticed a young lady approaching and devouring several brownies. Yuroic chuckled deeply as he reached over and poured her a drink to wash it down with. She asked if he had baked them himself, with a proud smile he nodded. "Took all morning to make such a large amount but it seems it was worth it, glad you like them. I noticed you came from the med tent, I was about to go offer some of the injured some stew and preform some healing. Luckily had a fair amount of practice healing my own injuries over the many years. Nothing on Master Kitra or her elite healers but better than most." Yuroic commented.

He poured several bowls with steaming stew and smiled to the new face as he wandered over to the tent. Offering stew he listened to the many stories and helped with some of the healing where he could. It was a time for giving and he refused to just stand around and watch people eat, he wanted to be more active. Distracted from the monster inside raging about getting revenge and slaughtering the Sith and First Order, for now at least.

The Hyperspace flight from the silver temple on Kashyyyk had been long, arduous and uneventful. Saka resigned herself to playing Dejarik in the meantime, which helped to break up the long hours in between sleep and meditation. She knew all too well about the planet of Durkteel via her class studies, which was home to the Saurin who were the brutish cousins to the Trandoshan species. The young Mirialan had never really ventured out of Kashyyyk save for the odd meditative retreat to a neighbouring planet with her classmates and teacher.

"Landing in five minutes." A slightly distorted voice called out on the speaker system, announcing the shuttles arrival at New haven.

Saka jolted out of her meditative trance and hoped out of her bunk bed, hastily adjusting her hood and outfit to look presentable. The young Mirialan wore the traditional clothes of a Mirialan Jedi, opting to cover her hair with a black hood like many of her predecessors in the order. Not long after the shuttle pulled into the landing bay.

The shuttle door slid shut behind her, and Saka flinched. She swallowed, clenched and then unclenched her fists, and looked around the town anxiously. She snuck a quick glance at the chrono and found that it was later than she’d thought, just barely before midday.

"Maybe i can have a quick look around, it's not as if i was given a specific meeting time." Saka remarked to herself.

Tana remembered when he was here a few months ago, arriving on the planet with [member="Valae Kitra"] to help the many refugees that had fled to the planet, resettling them. During that time he met a few new people but most of all learnt the fundamental basics of force healing, quite a useful skill to keep certain 'aspects' of himself secret, but also a skill to be used on other that may need it.

Unfortunately he had arrived a little late the the whole party, upon coming into the large town center many people already present and engaging in conversation. Most he recognized, those being the grand master herself, [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] even that Gungan that he had seen during the festival no long ago... what was his name again? ([member="Ugohr Poof"]) It didn't matter, he could always ask later he was quite the upbeat store owner.

Strolling towards the group he froze for a brief moment upon seeing, [member="Charlie"], said girl talking with the pink haired girl, 'uh oh... best keep my distance this time'. No matter what he did the anything he said to the girl was always taken the wrong way, any attempt to redeem the mishap from the beach just seeming to get worse and worse. Though at the same time he constant found the smol girl with someone he would usually hang out with... awkward.

"Indeed I am rather new to the whole organization itself. It was actually quite a funny story on how I got you know you guys more clearly, but we'll save that for another time." Velero let out a chuckle while he spoke, thinking back to the spice run on Ryloth as he walked toward a table and pulled out a chari for his wife. He had to say, the Silver Jedi were a resourceful bunch and that was for sure. Before joining the Order, Velero had never really worked with anyone other than Clairis. Now, he had a lot more people to depend on with more resources and firepower. Velero liked that.

Something else was a bit odd though. He felt this strange... Connection with all of the Jedi there. Like he knew where everyone exactly was without looking or hearing them. It was a weird feeling to Velero, but he concluded it as some minor social anxiety maybe. After seating himself at the table Valae had gestured towards, the smuggler had a few questions to ask. He wanted to get more information about the order and what it was, what it stood for, etc. Clairis decided that she did not want to bore herself with the conversation, so she quickly and politely excused herself.

"Meet me at the bar after, Vel." She would say before heading off.

"So, I have heard about this order throughout the galaxy and I was actually quite curious on how you guys run and what your reasons are for all of this. I've seen other organizations such as the Jedi Academy Network. Are you guys the same as them or different?" Velero's question may have proven to be an odd one but he was indeed curious about the whole thing. He has heard of other cells of Jedi, but what each one different? Is it their abilities, their morals even? Velero wondered what he would call a "Bad Jedi" and even go as far as questioning the existence of such people.

“Did you find anything that tickles your fancy, Jedi?” The local baker asked kindly behind his counter.

Saka looked up from the wares presented at the front and smiled at the Baker. “Yes i would like to buy one of those savoury loaves Thank you.” The baker smiled at her and started to turn away to put the credits Saka had given him into the counter. “Although,” The Mirialan added impulsively, then waited until she had his attention again. “You wouldn’t happen to have seen a master by the name of Josh anywhere, have you?”

The bakers smile brightened, but only slightly. “As a matter of fact, I have. He's just on the grounds, he's a big tall man with blond hair. You won't miss him."

"Thank you, may the force be with you." She managed a small nod of curtesy as she took the bag containing the loaf, taking her leave not long after in search of her new master. It didn't take long to find him much to her relief. He was in the company of a young child and a woman she had not yet met.

“I…” Saka stiffened in anticipation as she approached him, "i am Padawan Amara, i believe i am to be transferred to you for the completion of my studies?" the Mirialan moved her hands at her sides, worrying anxiously at the black fabric while waiting for his answer.

Walking from the grounds toward the food, the group of Josh, Anora and Jason would soon come to an array of food. Jason had softened up and was suddenly perked up, eyeballing the food with wide eyes. Josh chuckled lightly, he could sense the emotions of the child, and knew just what he was getting up to. He supposed the first thing they could do was try the fresh breads... He heard that the rolls here were amazing. Just as they arrived though, they would be approached by a woman who identified herself as Josh's newest student.

"Well, hello there!" Josh chirped as Jason, ordinarily shy, was too busy staring at the food bag in her arms to care. "I guess I should welcome you to the program. I'm Josh DragonsFlame, and this is one of your new classmates, Anora" Josh would introduce. "And of course, the impatient one is my son, Jason" Josh added as Jason had started making grabby hands at the booth. "If you'll give us a moment, you're free to join us" He added as he would approach the booth, quickly getting a large loaf for himself and Anora to try, and a smaller one for Jason. Of course, the moment that he held up the smaller loaf to the child, the child would wrap their arms around it and immediately start gobbling it.

The weight of a galaxy. Coren Starchaser may not be someone that most would consider the Sword of the Jedi, but he did hope he carried on in the vein of the greats, Luke Skywalker, Kyle Katarn, Corran Horn, Kyp Durron, Cade Skywalker. Those were the Jedi he looked at when he surveyed holocrons. How they got through, being at once a Jedi, a pilot, a gunman, an investigator, and a pirate.

“Nooran knows her things, always have a lot of respect for her. And Valae.” Did he call people ‘Master so-and-so?’ no, that was not how Coren Starchaser worked. “Really, so many of the Silvers are good people. Just, the Alliance offers the direction I feel the galaxy should go into, y’know?” Not that he’d ever start a philosophical war with any of the so-called light side teams, but it was just one of those things.

“They’re lucky to have you as an XO. So long as you can come help the Alliance out when we call.” He gave her a wink before taking another swig from the bottle. He tipped the neck to her. “And since the Sith? We’ve had a few things going on [member="Julius Sedaire"] has been the paragon of that effort. But I feel our world is safe, even if he were to step out.

“But you know our homeworld.” Its always something, then there is always someone coming back.

A Beorni was always ready for a nap.

Ever vigilant for the prospect, the youngling had promptly set to seeking out new resting places and new sleeping positions. To boldly nap where no Beorni had ever napped before!

The cub was laying on his side, sleeping with all four paws extended out. Every now and again, those paws would move, as though the Beorni were chasing squirrels in his dreams.

Then, his head came up from the ground. Nose pointed into the air, the cub's nostrils worked furiously as he sniffed. Rolling over, the boy flopped over onto his other side, slowly gathering his paws beneath him. The puffball tail was twitching, his round ears moving like radar on either side of his head, as his nose continued to work with a vengeance.

There was no doubt about it.

FOOD!

Popping up to his feet, the cub took off on all fours.

There was pie.

He could smell it.

And here shortly, he would be eating it.

Valae’s brows lofted, [member="Velero Faren"] had certainly peaked her curiosity. “I look forward to hearing that story one day,” She said with a small chuckle. She gave a small nod to Claris as she wandered off towards the bar, and then motioned for Velero to join her under the tent. Approaching the tables that nearly overflowed with food, the Grandmaster lifted a plate and handed it over to her new companion. Plucking one up for herself, she couldn’t help but notice a small shift within Velero. Chestnut eyes studied him for a moment; it was as though something inside had switched on – but without understanding.

The Grandmaster had an inkling of what it was, but perhaps this was not the place to reveal such a thing.

She spooned some fruit salad onto her plate as Velero spoke once more. “Well, the Order of the Silver Jedi is its own organization – but we are a part of the Jedi Academy Network, you see. There are other Jedi powers in the galaxy,” Valae’s thoughts lingered on the fallen Galactic Alliance for a moment and their New Jedi Order. “We are all a little different. The Silver Jedi are not a government, we don’t rule the worlds in our area of influence – but we readily assist them in times of need. We focus quite a lot on humanitarian efforts, but we will enter conflicts if we are pressed.”

Valae continued down the buffet line, her eyes finding some new arrivals like [member="Saka Amara"] and Anora Vahn with Master Dragonsflame. She picked up one of the brownies brought by [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] and added it to her rather full plate.

“While I’m in charge,” She said, smiling sheepishly. “I certainly don’t do it all alone. I have a council of Jedi Master that assist in major decisions, and we do have a skilled military branch called the Antarian Rangers. You’ll have to meet Colonel [member="Valkren Calderon"], I think you two would get along.” Perhaps it was just a hunch.

As they were conversing, Velero decided to load his plate full of various meats and vegetables brought by the party attendees. The smuggler would not bother with dessert until later. The response he got from Valae made the Silver Jedi more interesting than what he originally perceived.

So they are just humane workers in a way and they are not their own type of government? It made Velero more curious as to how they get all the fancy stuff like a military branch and so on. The smuggler decided to just stay quiet and instead enjoy the celebration. He took a huge bite from a slab of bantha steak. It tasted delicious, with its seasoning and juice dancing inside of his mouth. After he took his bite, he heard a mention of a person from Valae. Someone that goes by the name of Valkren Calderon. Velero glanced at Valae, while taking another mouth full of steak from his fork into his mouth.

"I'll have to treat him to some drinks then if you think we'll get along. Is he here at the celebration or on some kind of Colonel business?"

Velero looked down the table and noticed a lot of faces, all belonging to either Jedi or some sort of person connected to the force. On future occasions, he would have to take the time to know them all. He had to admit, it was nice to be here. There was good food and friendly people which was a rare commodity to occur for Velero. Usually he was met with nasty food from a market in the underworld of Coruscant and aliens that would give nasty looks to him and Clairis. It was a hard world to live in, but both Velero and Clairis learned to adapt and soon they became one of the best smuggling duos in the galaxy. Velero just hoped that he can make Clairis happy with their current living situation right now. He would have to join her at the bar after getting a response from Valae about the attendance of Valkren Calderon.

Her foods and drink were set out. Expecting no compensation for her offerings, Seo now decided to wander around and see just what else was offered. A wanderer by nature, it was not abnormal for her to do such a thing. Here there were all sorts of people and foods, some were already engaged in conversation while others were hawking their wares. These she avoided.

Hoping her food would be liked, she set off to do some people watching. The various races, cultures and people were in abundance and she stood off to the side. A pack of padawans were gathered and chatting. There was a family nearby and she moved away from them, not wanting to hear what they were talking about.

As she walked, looked and observed, she gathered in information. Not wanting to intrude on any ongoing conversations, she just walked alone. It was how she worked though. Not one to set roots down, develop any close ties with anything or anybody. Even if she was a curious person, the information she gained was more from observation than actual conversation.

Letting out very little sign of thought or emotion, Seo did notice a bear walk up and pick up some food. Now that was a sight she never thought she would ever witness. Her attention quickly moved on though, but came back to that bear.

"Thank you master, i will join you soon when you are less occupied by other matters." Saka replied respectfully, she would use the time to meditate and enjoy her food.

Saka could have gone anywhere; a silent, empty classroom or private antechamber were her usual choices for meditation. Failing that she could just as easily have gone to her quarters when at the temple. But in her current state, with the lively nature of the town with it's gathering of Jedi, the thought of isolating herself further was a horror. She found a nice spot beneath the shade of a large tree, which thankfully shaded her from the sun.

Her first deep breath was thin, unsteady; it served more to call attention to her tense muscles and shaky center than anything else. She closed her eyes, clenched and unclenched her hands, and took another, slower breath. Tried to feel the slight breeze, the sunlight filtering through the leaves. Everything had a presence of some kind in the Force, and she was connected to everything. She was wise enough, at least, not to try to rush herself into a long trance. Relax. She could almost hear her former master’s voice. Let yourself be. The rest will come.

She started near herself—the slow flow of life in the tree and the grass beneath it, the warmth radiating off the sunlit stone. Then, letting her mind expand at its own pace, she moved out. With that calm, the presence of others in the courtyard began to filter through. There was a young pair not far off—a Knight and her Padawan, neither of whom Saka knew were going through a series of slow, fluid stretches. She smiled slightly. It was a very basic routine, beginner level. She remembered it from early in her own short lived apprenticeship.

Moving to a bench, she took a dainty bite of fruit. But once she saw [member="Velero Faren"] take a rather large bite of his bantha steak, Valae had no problem digging into her mountain of mashed potatoes. These were freshly grown here in New Haven, she’d been told. Buttery goodness, they were delicious.

She heard Velero’s question, and had covered her mouth self-consciously as she finished chewing.

“Oh, I think he’d like that.” As she understood it, Valkren and his rangers could be a rowdy group and they were fond of a few good drinks. Taking a quick glance around, she didn’t see the Colonel or any of the rangers. “You know, I don’t see him here right now. But that’s not to say he won’t show up later on. If not, we’ll make sure you two get introduced.”

Moving on to a fluffy home-made biscuit, Valae spotted a white bear. Immediately, her thoughts traveled back to their Life Day celebration – where she had last seen Kiriko Howlingfjord. Well, truth be told she hadn’t really seen him, she knew that. The sight of [member="Kiriko"] Dawntreader filled her with hope, as mushy as that sounded.

And approaching the young bear was an unfamiliar face ([member="Seo Linn"]), another person that Valae would work to get to know today.

“So, what’s your plan for the future?” She asked, looking back to Valero. “Are you and your wife going to settle on Kashyyyk?”

[SIZE=9pt]Allyson sighed happily as she nodded, to hear that Coren held the Silvers in good regards meant that she had made an appropriate choice. Though, she already knew that and his words only reinforced it. The Corellian chuckled as she heard Coren speak about the Jedi Masters so casually, it was nice to hear especially when she had been surrounded for the past few months with polite and respectful Jedi. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]“Julias? The name sounds familiar I don’t think I’ve met him yet. It’s good to hear that home is starting to fix its self. It would be nice maybe to one day go back, settle down uh family and the like.” Allyson pulled one of the ice chests towards her and grabbed one of the lighter beers. Drying it off on her flight suit, Allyson shrugged. “One of those dreams that can’t come true till everything is right in the galaxy.” [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]The bottle opened and Allyson shot flicked the cap into the nearby trash. Taking a sip of the beer, she sighed. The alcohol relaxed her and the drink of the whiskey was starting to take effect. Her body was tired and her mind mentally drained. She hadn’t let herself rest after Coruscant, she couldn’t. A hand ran through her brunette hair as she chuckled softly. “It’s nice to hear someone be so informal about the Jedi Masters. I’m surrounded by so many stiffs, but Valae and Jyoti are pretty cool.” The bottle nodded towards the large blonde man with the baby. “Dragonsflame is pretty relaxed too. Reminds me of those super heroes you read about in the comics. Good guy though.” [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]“Of course, I’m always going to come to the aid of the Alliance.” She didn’t dive too deeply, she had felt abandoned by them during her kidnapping on Bastion, but that was a different time and tale. It wasn’t Coren’s fault or anyone else’s. Another sip of the beer and Allyson looked around. “Speaking of Jyoti I’m surprised I don’t see her, her goofball of a padawan is here.” Allyson pointed out [member="Charlie"] and then looked towards Coren with a smirk. “You pick up one of those yet? A padawan?” [/SIZE]

Like a shark's fin, the Beorni's nose rose up along the horizon as a foreboding icon.

Drifting along the edge of a high counter, the short, white muzzle drifted along as the black, button nose wiggled. Paws reached up, short arms pulling the cub so that he could look at the pies cooling there on the baker's rack.

Apple. Cherry. Blackberry. Peach cobbler. It smelled delicious. All of it.

Short legs dangled in mid-air, as baby bear butt wiggled while the cub hung there, contemplating the choices that were out of reach.

And there weren't just pies. There were cookies, brownies, cakes, tarts, and a variety of candies. It was a veritable banquet of desserts. Candied fruit slices, hard candy, fudge, and chocolates dotting the landscape in a forest of options, behind which was the kingdom of cake. Layered cakes. Bundt cakes. Funnel cakes. Sponge cakes. Even upside down cakes!

This was going to make choosing one next to impossible.

Lowering himself down from the ledge, the cub plopped down and decided to have a think about just which he was going to eat first.

[member="Valae Kitra"] | [member="Seo Linn"]

See, this was what Coren missed at ties. Just the comradaerie, the chit-chat between soldiers, Jedi, and those who were more likely than not, just outrunning a laser blast that had their name on it. Especially life as a pilot and a Jedi? So much was out there trying to end your existance and the defensive stance you kept against the darkness.

“Yeah, Sedaire. Good man, when he’s not lost in some bottle some where but…” He held up the bottle to [member="Allyson Locke"] again. “I have a cup holder in my TwinTail, so who am I to speak?” And it was modified beyond that, he liked keeping an actual astromech. As a Jedi he got himself into a world of interesting places, but sometimes the droid was needed to perform hacking jobs. “Family is a good dream to have, and its why we fight, isn’t it?” He took a sip. “Why I’ll keep fighting.”

He grinned at the pilot and nodded. “Well, I mean, someone thought it was smart to announce I’m a Jedi Master. Some get stuffy but the likes of Jyoti and Valae?” Coren thought the world of the two women, strong, smart, attractive. Good Jedi, good leaders. “Nah, they know that sure, it’s a rank, but you have to be human to get people to be effective.” His eyes tracked the one that Allyson pointed out, Charlie, and he nodded. “I’m sure she’s around. And Padawan? Yeah. Ever meet [member="Mishel Noren"]? She’s… a lot like me. Came out of the Outer Rim after a rough start, and I’m working on getting her matched up to the light side properly.”

She arrived from Kashyyyk with a temper. She was pissed off for the long journey, she hate it to travel in starships for so long, but her master was clear, she had to go there so she learned what to find peace was like. After the fight she put up in Mustafar, watching her soldiers, her friends and her master being killed against the First Order army, she found a new master, she found a new order, and there she was doing her lessons in the road on becoming a Knight, when she landed her ship, she expected to find cows and chickens, and perhaps a few ruins, but all her cold blue eyes could see was a loving farming world, crawling with Saurins and humans everywhere. Her nose was filled with a hundred different smells, it could smell the grass growing in the fields, it could sense the wheat ready for the crops, it smell the sweaty backs of lizard races and humans, the scents of apple pies, meat cakes, meat grilling and sausages boiling, the fragrance of women ready for their husbands, and even greater than that. her mind was filled with the sensation of life, it was a pulse of heart beatings, minds thinking about problems and loves, souls stuffed with vivacity and joy, it was a perfect world. A world where you could not believe that war and famine, chaos and destruction roamed through the galaxy. 'It's like the Force is working like a pulse in this planets, this is a paradise... i would happily love to find peace in here for the rest of my days.' she thought to herself, tidying up her leather trenchcoat made of gundarks with her old nerfs high heels boots and tight dark pants, she was dressed like a civilian, with the exception of the lightsaber swinging on her waist belt, and the blaster on the other side.
"This looks like a very dull place." The voice of GE3 series protocol droid, which she bought in a cheap bargain in her time on Tatooine while fleeing from the First Order. She named the droid Geo, for no apparent reason. And most of the time she just ignored him, but not that time.
"Would you prefer to go back to Tatooine, Geo?", and before the protocol buzzard could reply, Ruddy, the akk dog went running through the ship ramp across town, followed by her GV/3 series guardian droid, but she just called him Thincan, to which she replied by whistling loud in the street and shouting with her husky voice back to Geo. "Let's find somewhere to eat, i'm hungry", and she could feel the force, and force users around somewhere.

They were kind of odd questions, seeming as how Velero has never really thought about the future all too much. Rather, he always worried about what was happening in the here and now. As he received those questions about what his plans are for the future and so on, the smuggler settled himself and thought about it for a couple of seconds before reaching a semi conclusion.

"You know, I do not really know yet. I was thinking about doing jobs for the Silver Jedi or maybe join up with your guys' military branch." He gave a light chuckle while presenting the first half of his whole answer. He took another bit of his steak before speaking of the other half.

"Regarding Kashyyyk, I honestly do not know yet. I might just build some kind of cabin out in the forests. I am not really huge on the whole Jedi Lifestyle and what not." Previously, he had heard of how the Jedi lived, or at least stories of how they would go about their daily routines and frankly Velero didn't seem to much of a fan of it. It seemed to have to much discipline involved and discipline was not something that Velero incorporated into his life at all. He was always a free roamer and never believed in consequences, unless it had to do with other lives in the long run.

Velero took one more bite out of his steak before finishing his meal. He decided to ask Valae another question. It would have to do with the liveliness of the Jedi; to make sure that what Velero heard was true.

"Do you Jedi all have that certain life style where you guys sleep on thin beds and wake up early and all that? Or is it much more free than what many perceive in the galaxy?"

Tallia decided to find some real food half-way through devouring her brownie pyramid. It was impeccable how neatly stacked it had been, especially in contrast to how inelegantly she scarfed down the chocolaty deserts. Now it was a flat brownie plateau, and she wagered that if she wanted to continue eating her stash and avoid feeling sick afterward, she was going to need to diversify her diet. The drink she had been given by the brownie chef (she hadn't gotten his name) had helped, but Tallia needed something more substantive.

She picked her way along the tables of food, and eventually ended up with some bread, a small portion of bantha steak for the protein, and a side of greens that while unappetizing, were healthy. After her meal was decided, she started to wander the tent, trying to decide where to sit. Tallia had grown bolder as she'd recovered other the previous few months, and she was among friends, but she didn't want to impose on a table where she didn't really know anyone. The rehabilitation center at the Temple was kind of off on its own, which meant there were plenty of fresh faces at this event. Tallia didn't mean to eavesdrop, but as she passed by various tables she heard plenty of interesting talk about recent events.

She wondered if she would recognize any of them if she still had her memories. There were plenty of Jedi Masters there who were surely older than her. Perhaps they'd been in the Jedi Order before it had broken off with the Fall of the Republic?

There was a particularly interesting conversation between two Masters she passed. They were in the middle of discussing their futures once the galaxy wasn't so turbulent. Their brief mention of family made her think to her own situation. Not to the matter of starting a family, really, that was pretty much out of the equation due to the torture she'd been put through several years prior, but to the family she'd forgotten.

Tallia knew who her parents were now, after a bit of digging, and she wanted to find them again if she could. However, she'd yet to start her search. Her mother, who as far as she was aware was still the Queen Mother of Hapes, would be easier to find, but she kind of doubted that would be a warm reunion. The thought of going back to Hapes and having to face the complications of her royal heritage wasn't particularly appealing.

She continued walking, about to consider sitting by herself, when she actually spotted a familiar face. Grandmaster [member="Valae Kitra"] sat enjoying a meal with a roguish-looking man who Tallia didn't recognize ([member="Velero Faren"]). Not a Jedi, she suspected, unless perhaps he was from the New Jedi Order. Tallia heard that some of them were a little rougher around the edges than their Silver Jedi compatriots.

She approached in time to hear his questioning on the Jedi lifestyle, and decided she'd answer him from behind.

"I can't speak for all Jedi, fact I'm not technically one yet anyway, but since I've been with the Order I've had to adjust to a tight schedule, early mornings included. That's mostly for rehab though. The healers at the Temple don't mess around." In truth, Celeste, the healer overseeing her, had been incredibly kind and patient with Tallia during her time on Kashyyyk, but she'd also pushed her a lot to continually improve her health.

"The beds are actually pretty comfy though. I can attest to that." She said with a smile, then turned to Valae and gave her a small bow, a head nod really.

"It's great to see you again Grandmaster!" Tallia said warmly. "I'm not sure if you're the one who permitted me to be on this mission, but I'll thank you anyway. Things at the infirmary are going exceptionally well." Tallia knew that Valae was a skilled healer herself, though she guessed she didn't get to practice as often as she would like to because of the responsibilities that came with her title. She hoped that hearing all was well with the wounded Alliance members in their care would put her at ease.

This bear seemed to be at a loss as to what to pick. Seo was unable to tell the gender of him so would not make any sort of assumption on it when the opportunity came to actually speak to him.

A thought came to her. She had brought a dessert with her food and hadn't gone too far from where she set up. Returning to where it was, she picked up one of the pieces, set it on a plate and took it over to the bear.

It wasn't a pie or cake, but flakey and layered almost wafer thin and covered in honey. He was a bear, surely he liked honey.

"Try mine if you want."

Sitting down next to him with a smile, Seo hoped he understood what she said and meant. Not being a threat of any kind and being surrounded by friendly people she should be able to let her guard down.
