KILL YOUR CONSCIENCE

"Alor'ad, transmission from our forces on the shipyard."

Jane looked around toward Shel.
"Put it through." the Nautolan nodded.
Rising up on the display was Evelyn Beroya while bolts were flying behind her.
"Alor'ad, we have a situation at Dock 35. Uh...I think you'll want to get down here." Her voice was straining above the tumult of blasterfire in the background.
"Why?" Shel asked.
Evelyn fired off a shot with her free hand toward someone they couldn't see.
"You're not going to believe this - it's those damn pirates again." she almost yelled.
Shel's fists clenched. "I'm going to skin that shabuir alive." she whispered dangerously. "We'll be right there, Evelyn."
"Yes, Alor'ad." she answered before ending the transmission.

The bridge of the Narglatch was silent as the grave as they all watched their Alor'ad whose jaw was clenched as her tentacles bristled.
"Get me whoever is leading the navy in this engagement." she seethed.
"That would be Minister Verin Oldo Verin Oldo , Alor'ad. Hailing him now." Kel said.
A short minute later, Shel was looking at the man in charge. "Minister, this is Shel Beroya speaking. I was heading the Beroya contingent in this engagement, but my attention is being called toward the Shipyard. I am transferring all my ships to your command, Sir. The Narglatch will be withdrawing from engagement as of now. Manda be with you, Sir." she said.

Not long after, the Narglatch docked with the Shipyard, not far from their forces' location.
"Jane, you and Teyr stay with the ship. The rest of you with me." Shel ordered before she pulled on her helmet and they all filed out of the Frigate and toward the Dock where shit had struck the fan for Enclave forces.

And there were the bloody pirates, engaged in heated battle with the Mando'ade while the damnable Dar'manda crashed into crate not far from them.
Sneering behind her helmet, she drew her pistol as the rest of her crew engaged the rest of the insurgents.

"I told you I'd kill you if I ever saw you again in our space, Chakaar!"

dark world

The Western Bridge was already in view for the masked stranger trekking through the arctic wilderness of Rothana. Deeply corrupted by darkness, his wretched soul guarded him against the extreme temperature. His military boots left deep imprints as he treaded, yet he did not care; for the same blizzard that coated his robe with a bright white layer of snow also made sure to erase all traces of his passing. So the stranger kept crawling straight toward the bridge, unbothered by the possibility of detection. In fact, he had hoped to find some of the Enclave's ruthless warriors, so that he could tear the exact location of the depot straight from their skulls.

Numerous signatures of varying levels of Force-sensitivity spread out over the battlefield, some familiar, some shrouded in uncertainty, but the lone shadow – now more of a pale ghost – had a singular focus on this cold, cold day: the acquisition of that much sought-after strategic information left behind by the First Order. Indeed, this masked Simulacrum of the Unknown marched on like a machine, fully intending to walk straight through enemy lines, ready to break the minds of all that dare stand in his way.

As the white-and-red ghost first stepped onto the cleared-out road leading up to the Western Bridge, his mask's gaze locked onto a helmeted figure standing atop the bridge's wall; they stared right back at him, unwavering. Clearly a guardian of the bridge. A howling gust rushed across this wordless standoff between the two, with the Mandalorian looking down at him from above, armor glistening in the unfiltered sunlight, and the wind blasting off the accumulated layer of snow from the Sith Lord's robe, revealing the black cloth beneath once again.

Standing eerily still, black fabric rippling in the wind, the masked stranger lets loose his vile senses, faintly detecting in this statuesque guardian traces of recent trauma and a curious kind of hunger. For a clearer understanding, he requires a more… personal touch. His diabolical voice is heard.
– Here you are, child of the Enclave. Trapped in the web of the spider. – He turns now fully towards the Mandalorian above, still a considerable distance from them. As calmly as he stands, he reaches back behind him as if winding up a throw, then in a flash conjures and violently hurls a crackling spear of the abyss straight at the warrior above.

Blaster bolts zoomed past as the tall, slender figure calmly walked through the Shipyards with only an extinguished hilt in his hands. It was unphased by the weapons as the bolts seemed to curve around it. Only a few managed to hit, but the seemingly scorched armour stopped each shot with no effort. Dark robes, glimmering at the edges with bright embers, fluttered lazily with each movements as the Figure continued to march on at its own pace.

It finally moved, yanking a slab of durasteel from the wall to use as a shield until it was hurled at the group of armoured soldiers like a frisbee. The resulting bloodshed was quick and brutal. The air around the Figure seemed to ripple with searing heat as another group of Marines emerged and fired at it. A deep, harsh sigh rumbled from its helmet before the hallway was engulfed in a bellow of hellfire. Nothing stopped the being as it continued to march on. The Maw's target was the reactor core, and the Figure would not let anything get in its way.

But as it rounded a corner, the Figure came to a halt as its helmet's empty gaze rested upon an odd creature wielding a massive axe. Finally a reaction emerged from the Figure as it turned to face the creature.

"You are an odd creature." It spoke up with a voice like magma through its helmet.

Its lightsaber came to life, with the unstable blade exploding from the hilt, quickly followed by two vents opening on either side of the emitter as well. "You might be worth my time." It continued as it started a slow approach towards the creature.

FINAL DAWN
ROTHANA, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

SHADOW HAND COMMAND
TASK FORCE MAUL
Fleet Comp.

Sularen watched from his command chair as Task Force Maul continued it's advance through the debris field, with the occasional debris bumping off the hulls of the Final Dawn Warships as they pushed forward. As they got closer to the Shipyards, Colonel Wilhlem proceeded to inform Sularen of their progress. "Sir, we've almost cleared the debris field and our boarding parties are almost ready for deployment." he said. Sularen simply stroke his beard before responding. "...and the status of their Fleet?" he said looking at Rackham. "We've already detected 3 separate Mandalorian Fleets in the vicinity. The Largest of which is comprised of one Dreadnought, two Battlecruisers, two Star Destroyers, two Cruisers, four Frigates and eight Corvettes. The other two fleets have already begun engaging the enemy, although the largest one is still moving into position to engage"

Sularen leaned forward as Rackham finished speaking. This would be a very interesting confrontation considering this would be the first time the Final Dawn has directly confronted the Enclave in a major naval engagement, and it was in the High Regent's best interest that he did not lose. "Do you have any idea on who the commander of this fleet is, Rackham?" Sularen asked. "Yes, sir we've already identified one of the two battlecruisers as the UES Samrata which according to what intel we've managed to gather, is the flagship of Verin Ordo, the Minister of War of the Mandalorian Enclave. The only other instance were we spotted this vessel during the Second Great Hyperspace War was at Tython." Sularen once more stroked his beard intrigued at Rackham's analysis. "What do we know about this Verin Ordo?" Sularen asked once more

This time, it was Wilhelm who proceeded to speak. "We have little information on where he's from, although we know he once served in the Confederacy's Navy having graduated at the Arkanis Naval Academy. He once held the position of High Marshal of the Bassadro Sector Armada within the Confederate Navy and now serves the Mandalorian Enclave as it's Minister of War. How he joined the Enclave, we have no idea although once could infer that it may have to do something about how the Enclave and the Confederacy share the same policy in regards to the criminal underworld." Wilhelm said. "And i assume given the limited information we have on him, it will be hard to understand what tactics he regularly employs or what Doctrine he has adopted, unlike our friends in the Alliance, yes?" Sularen asked. The Two men simply nodded in response which was enough of an answer for the High Regent.

This Verin Ordo would be a tough opponent. An Enemy Commander whose tactics weren't as predictable as his counterparts in the Alliance, nevertheless it would be interesting to see how this battle would play out. While the High Regent's primary objective was the many Mandalorian Star Destroyers that were currently docked within the Rothana Shipyards, Verin Order would most likely become a major obstacle to his plans, just like the many waves of Warships sent by Rogue Metal Lords and the Elysium Empire in their attempt to prevent Sularen from seizing the assets of the now defunct Have Will Gun Travel. Once more he would face forces from a Faction attempting to deprive him of a prize ripe for the taking, and once more he would deal with them as he always dealt with his enemies, with total and utter annihilation, only this time he would not be restricted to simply disabling the attacking warships.

Nevertheless, Sularen was never the type of person to strike first, rather he always preferred to let the enemy make the first move as it was always the best way to understand the doctrine and tactics of his foes thus allowing him to better predict their next attacks. As such, the High Regent simply leaned back on his chair before proceeded to speak to issue new orders. "Continue our advance towards the shipyards, while having all personel man their battlestations and prepare for battle. Our primary objective is still the Mandalorian Star Destroyers that remain docked within the Shipyards but it is most certain that Ordo in his capacity as Minister of War will do everything in his power to prevent us from taking such a prize, and when he does move in to do so, we will be prepared to annihilate him and his forces."

Thus Task Force Maul continued it's advance already near the edge of the debris field. Soon those Mandalorian Star Destroyers would become the latest additions to the Final Dawn's growing collection, and there was nothing those Mandalorians could do to stop him.

  • Sularen acquires gathered information on his opponent Verin Ordo and his Fleet from his subordinates Colonels Rackham and Viktor Wilhelm
  • Sularen orders Task Force Maul to continue pushing towards the Rothana Shipyards, while preparing for an attack from Verin Ordo's forces.

The lone figure finally arrived along the cleared road, coming to a halt before the bridge to the Shistavanen’s annoyance. For a moment there were no actions or words as the two stared each other down, until finally he broke the silence.

– Here you are, child of the Enclave. Trapped in the web of the spider. –

He reached back, and a pitch black spear materialized in his hand before he hurled it at the Wardog. She wasted no time to drop off the wall, letting the spear glide past her as her jetpack came to life. She glided through the air as her vambrace rose to fire a rocket at the Sith, before touching down on the opposite wall.

”Feelin’ mighty free where I’m standing.” She quipped as she drew her pistols from their holsters. She moved again with blistering speed through the air as she fired a volley of golden particle bolts at him. It was time to see what the Sith was made of. ”You forget whose planet you’re on. So why don’t you turn around and get back in that hole you came from, huh?” She called out with a menacing grin behind her helmet.

BOOGEYMAN

"Increase forward shields and prime all armaments across all ships."

The Captain was calm as he said it while the three corvettes veered to attack the enemy battlecruiser, turbolasers and ion cannons whirring out a challenge. Meanwhile the Lady of Bone stood in front of the viewport, hand on her chin as she watched how the Mandalorian fleet would respond. There was something different with that battlecruiser - the whispers in the Force making her curious.
"Captain, activate Nemea." she said thoughtfully, still watching the battlecruiser.
"Ma'am?"
"You heard me. And have our ships clear out around us."
"Yes, ma'am."
he said.
Power systems dimmed considerably as the extra defences were activated before settling again. They were sitting ducks for the moment, but strong ones nonetheless.

As she expected, the corvettes didn't last long. Two went down while the Charon tried to limp back to the line while two Star Destroyers moved into position next to the battlecruiser.
"There were good men on those ships, Mistress." Samron said quietly as he stood next to her.
"They'll be remembered." she said absentmindedly.
"Something wrong, Mistress?" he asked.
"It's no ordinary buckethead on that ship. I mean to find out what it really is before we leave here." she said.

"They've locked onto us!" cried one of the soldiers from the nav-panel.
"Good. Let's see what happens."
Some men on the bridge exchanged glances. They were used to their Lady's strange ways, but sometimes it baffled them.

And then the blitz of two shots as bright as stars drew their attention.

Danika stood idly in front of the viewport, but the rest of the bridge held their breaths, hands clenched tightly around the arms of their chairs as they watched the shots coming toward them. It seemed even the hardiest men still felt fear. Even Samron shifted slightly next to her. The newest and youngest officers on the bridge were visibly terrified as they watched the oncoming doom. One couldn't even suppress the groan that escaped his throat.

The light of the solar ions lit up the bridge as they loomed, searing some of the shielding...

But then the shots veered away to slam straight into the limping Charon.

Silence reigned on the bridge.
"Captain, have our Destroyers give an answer in kind, please. Release Nemea and add our turbolasers to it as well." Danika said.
Stark swallowed slightly. "Yes, ma'm." he said softly.

As one, the three Destroyers loosed their collective ordnance on the Mandalorian fleet before the Fortuna added her voice to the mix.

"He played his hand. We still need to play ours."

HYMN

Klaxons blared throughout the Charon as systems complained critically from the barrage the ship had taken from the Mandalorian Destroyers. On the bridge, Captain Greer wiped his forehead with a shaky hand.
"Return us to the line." he said before sinking into his command chair.

The ship retreated back as fires raged across its hull.

"Sir, we won't be able to hyperjump in this state." said Barrax.
"We'll see what we do. Let's just get to safety first behind the line." said Greer.
"I don't think we'll be going anywhere, gentlemen." Pollux said, voice resigned as he pointed toward the viewport.

Greer stood up to see what the boy was looking at. But when he did, he felt his whole stomach sink to his feet.
"G..." he cleared his suddenly tight throat. "Gentlemen, it was an honour serving alongside you." he said hoarsely.
Numerous fear-filled eyes looked at him then before hands went up in a unified salute.

**

The solar shots hit the already crippled Charon at the same time, ripping into the Corvette. The wrath of Hell burnt through the small ship alarmingly, instantly incinerating everything in its path.

To the men onboard, it was over quickly - no prolonged burning or pain. Just a white-hot flare and then nothing left. All that remained after the hellish rampage was a few small pieces of ship floating in the void.

A solar's sheer destructive power laid bare for all to see.

Location: Shipyards, corridors between Hangar Bay Aurek and Dockyard Aurek
Equipment: Beskar'gam; Heartseeker; Phase-Blade x2; Blaster Rifle, Assorted Grenades
Allies: The Enclave
Enemies: Maw; DARKCOM DARKCOM

Fighting in the corridors of the Shipyard was a brutal and bloody affair. Initially the Commandos had engaged at range but the Maw were so many, their zealot chaff so numerous that even if blasterfire cut down swaths of them it barely seemed to diminish their numbers. They were like ants, swarming a threat and pulling it apart until all that remained was blood and guts and gore.

Blasterfire from Andras down two more, the Mawites falling beneath the expertly placed fire but his HUD alerted him to more threats. The Commandos couldn't keep them all at bay. To one side he saw another Mandalorian taken down by something that appeared to be a ravenous pack of men, all jagged metal arms and bloody faces. The Mawites stabbed and cut until they found the softest spots in his Aliit'gam. It was horrifying, even to a soldier who had been on a hundred battlefields.

Andras looked away, he saw more Mawites coming but he couldn't help feel the regret for his fallen buir as he took aim again....

"Incoming!"

...he'd thrust Heartseeker forward, the Bevinn sinking into the lead Mawites stomach. The Beskar head augmented with mullinine piercing whatever armor he wore and driving deep into the creatures midsection. Beneath his Buy'ce Andras eyes widened, the Mawite actually grabbed his spear shaft and began pulling himself forward on it towards Andras. A shot from his Blaster Rifle ended him, causing the Mawite to slump forward but it was something unexpected.

All around him there was more Blasterfire, more bloodshed and screaming. Whether the screaming embodied the frenzy of the enemy, of dying men or even of panic Andras couldn't have said. The Commandos were engaging the Mawites still, many of them in hand to hand at this point though some took advantage of Flame Projectors built into the armor to incinerate foes who had made it to close.

The Dark Horse wrenched his Beviin free just in time to meet more attackers. A Mawite rammed into him, Andras lost his blaster rifle on contact but retained Heartseeker. As the Mawite pressed the Beviin came horizontal in both of the Mandalorians hands, he swept the butt of the spear around and took his attackers legs out from underneath him then followed up by spinning Heartseeker in his hold until the head came around and plunged downwards into the meet of the Mawite ending him.

Pulling the Beviin free again Andras, raising his left arm would have called....

"Clear these halls. There has to be an end to them eventually! Fight on to the end, Brothers!"

...there was comms chatter and static in presumed acknowledgement. Another Mawite found his end on the blade of Heartseeker and as Andras twist it free and withdrew it there was a gurgling sound when the weapon brought the bloody red of intestines with it while the deceased fell to his knees and then prone, motionless.

The Corridors between Hangar Bay Aurek and Dockyard Aurek were a bloody mess. Gore covered the walls, the floor, even the ceiling. It was a brutality that couldn't be known unless one had been kneedeep in close quarters combat and in such a confined space.

The Dragon stalked the hallways, searching for a worthy opponent.

A valiant warrior that would raise shield and sword against the Ancient Dread that was Darth Hydrus - the sole true Lord of the Dead that was left within the Galaxy.

Doomed forever alone.

Another Mando'ad fell to the floor, neck broken before the armoured Sith Lord swept past, eyes glowing.

But then he felt it.

A presence he had dealt with before. One that had won some respect from him when he still had a semblance of a soul.

Jedi.

Yenna.

His jaw set as he moved forward with more determined steps. He now had a more important goal than the wanton, mundane fascinations of the New Sith Order.

The sounds of battle up ahead reached his ears. He was close - her presence strong in the Force now - her fear. And through it all, the scent of blood and gore filled the predator's nostrils.

The stray energies from the dead still swirling around - all he had to do was reach out and devour them.

And that he did.

Rounding the bend of the shipyard, he caught sight of the little green monster as her cyan blade deflected bolts. And with her, a giant of a Mando'ad. Darth Hydrus' gaunt face remained blank as he removed the curved hilt from his belt before igniting the crimson blade from it.

"Have I finally found worthy warriors or do I need to wipe out this entire planet before I find one?"

The once-gentlemanly voice was cold, devoid of emotion.

With her eyes closed and her mind sharp, Valery traced the darkness as it approached her position. As a former Jedi Shadow, she was familiar with techniques to not only suppress herself in the Force but also to shroud herself entirely from sight and hearing. And so she wasn't caught by surprise when the veil disappeared and Sinestra Sinestra finally presented himself.

Valery's eyes opened as he spoke and an almost emotionless expression met the insidious tone behind his words, with only the fire in her eyes showing a glimpse of what could yet be ignited. "A little slow-witted, hm?" she said in return as her thumbs struck the activation switches of her lightsabers, and two violet blades burst into existence by her sides. He didn't strike her as the overly talkative type, and neither was she — this was yet another clash between Light and Dark, and no words were necessary to understand where this would go next.

"Where one beacon of light fades, another is ignited." She shifted her right foot back and raised her two blades up defensively, just in time as the Sith opened up with a telekinetic burst towards her. It ripped up ice and snow in its wake as it traversed the distance between them, but Valery stood her ground and crossed her two weapons in front of her while she shielded herself. Moments later, the blast connected, forcing Valery back a step or two as she slid over the ground, but her balance remained intact.

"The Jedi will endure,"

With a sudden burst of explosive speed, Valery moved directly towards the Sith, and opened up with a simple combination of fast-paced strikes, hoping to exploit the advantage of having two blades, whilst keeping herself ready to move fast and evade strikes to avoid the weakness of this style — the lack of strength in the single-handed grips.

While her fight began, Valery also heard Kranak Vizsla Kranak Vizsla over comms but decided to keep her focus on the Sith in front of her now, trusting the Mandalorian would be able to hold his own and handle the other. But she was ready to come to his aid if necessary or work together to bring both of their enemies down.

The bridge crew of the Vhipirheim, along with just about every gunner with a view of the battlefield, looked on with wide eyes as the shots of the solar ion cannons neared the flagship of the enemy, only to warp around it and annihilate the last remaining corvette. Jos stood in stunned silence for a moment as he tried to wrap his brain around what just happened. ”The hell kind of shields do those guys have?” Asken spoke up beside Jos.

”Ones that will certainly make Shai jealous.” Jos remarked as he spared a glance at his officer. Mere moments later, turbolaser and mass driver shots riddled the leading Star Destroyers and the flagship, their shields rippling with each impact absorbed. ”A system like that will likely take time to reset. Ready the cannons and wait for my order.” He turned to face his crew as a number of shots lit up the viewport behind him, luckily absorbed by the shields.

Sir, one of the enemy ships is targeting our frigates.” The tactical officer spoke up as he glanced up from his terminal. Jos immediately turned around to watch the events unfold.

1cp90JZ.png

With the intervention of the Star Destroyers, the frigates broke off their counter offensive for the moment as all of their problems were solved in a simple salvo of turbolasers. But as the Herald slowed to avoid collision with the bigger ships, warnings blared on her bridge as a target lock was initiated. A beam erupted from one of the enemy frigates, a Swordfish-class with a big gun, and breaths were held as the crew awaited their fate.

Except the ship was never hit. The beam collided with the port side wing of one of the Star Destroyers, the Summa-Verminoth. Its shields rippled and the ship shuddered from the impact, but it held up with barely any damage.

:: All frigates, pull back. We’ll get you to the enemy. ::

Like a beast from the Nether, the ship corrected course and moved upward to regain its bearing with the rest of the fleet. The Summa-Verminoth had proven itself a dangerous adversary as she engaged Imperial Star Destroyers over Ilum. And once again, the mighty vessel would live up to its namesake.

Turbolaser and ion batteries swivelled and locked onto the mismatched fleet of warships ( Maverick Steele Maverick Steele ) as it let loose with a powerful barrage, soon aided by divided firepower from two other cruisers.

The host of frigates pulled back and let the larger ships overtake them, sheltering behind a wall of Impervium and cannonfire. The Summa and Vengeance, the replacement for the battered Fury still docked by the shipyard, led the charge with the cruisers in close support just ahead of them. Built to take a hit, they withstood the enemy’s onslaught like a stubborn Zabrak in a bar brawl.

And in the middle of the floating wall of cannonfire was the flagship, the Mothership of clan Krayt.

0Sci4sH.gif

”That barrage is testing us good, sir. They’re throwing the kitchen sink at us.” Asken ducked as another explosion lit up the bridge, but the Kel Dor stood tall amongst all the carnage. ”Fire the heavy ordnance, let’s see how good that shield system is.”

The mass driver cannons onboard the Vhipirheim halted their fire for a moment as their magazines switched up, before a volley of shells sailed towards the Fortuna and her flanking Star Destroyers, complimented by volleys of heavy ion shots at the massive vessels.

In the meantime, the Kel Dor grasped his mask as he focused on the dark presence onboard the Fortuna. He didn’t doubt that she could feel him as well. He had a feeling that they were going to get well acquainted in the near future.

The little green Jedi was fast as she jumped from his shoulder and like a blur attacked the Mawites with great precision. However, Kragr was not about to let the little green Jedi get all the kills for herself as he activated his jetpack for a second to blast through the hallway right behind Yenna.

With a ruthless swipe with his Warhammer, Kragr hit one of the Mawites with such force that the soldier's chest blew open from his back, before smashing into the wall, smearing it in blood. While Yen took care of most of them, Kragr managed to get a hold of another Mawite with his bare hands in his momentum, having left the Warhammer embedded into the hole in the chest of the first.

While Yenna showed grace and precision as she cut down her opponents as humanely as possible, like a veteran surgeon doing operations. Meanwhile, Kragr had pinned his opponent, a seasoned soldier to the hardened metallic floor below them and proceeded to pummel the Mawite's head with a closed war gauntleted fist. The first punch that connected cracked the soldier's helmet, the second shattered the helmet in two pieces and the third stuck true.

The sound of muffled splashing as flesh, meat and blood with the exception of sundering bones crushed under the weight of each punch delivered by Kragr's blood-indued rage. Darker and darker shades of crimson blood splattered onto Kragr's upper body and his helmet. Looking back, the Mawite's head was completely unrecognizable as blood dripped from Kragr's emotionless t-visor.

Raising again, he pulled his Warhammer free from the disgusting hole in the dead Mawite's chest which still had blood gushing out from the sheer hole blown in by Kragr's weapon. Kragr stood at his full height while dark crimson blood dripped from his white, black and red armour, and looked over at the little green Jedi, Yenna. One of the advantages thing that Kragr had to admit was good fighting with a Jedi, was how they could sense danger or enemies before they would even arrive.

And right as Yenna had spoken, so appeared a man, no a Sith almost as tall as Kragr which was impressive in its own right. Adorned with what appeared a great serpent twisting on the chest plate, along with dragon heads merged into scaly pouldrons and wrist guards of the same dark red colour scheme.

Kragr's eyes fell on the crimson blade for a moment, which only twisted his face into that of fiery rage as his bright blue eyes hardened. Walking over to Yenna's position, the Mandalorian looked even more impressively massive, compared to the small Jedi.

As Kragr stood behind Yenna, not only she, but Dimitri would feel pulsating adrenaline from Kragr as the Mandalorian's mind was filled with nothing but wrath rivalling only by Dimitri's cold soul, devoid of any emotion.

Squeezing the Warhammer's hilt, Kragr started to walk toward the Sith wordlessly but then shifted into a run, before he went into a bull-charge. It was an absolutely frightening sight to behold as the mountain of a man, Warhammer in hand, came at Dimitri with a singular goal. End. His. Life.

With a surprisingly lethal speed and powerful roar, Kragr came at Dimitri with no fear in his soul and swung his mighty Warhammer down upon the Sith Lord, like a God of Wrath, smiting the unworthy.

Their time ran out. The large Sith emerged from a corner, challenging the two of them in a way she was not used to. Fear turned to concern and pity as she stared up at his face, devoid of any and all emotion. ”Kragr… your mind, he will attack. Patience, this fight will require.” She advised as she turned to face Dimitri fully.

”Dimitri. To see you again, it is good!” She spoke up with a smile, despite knowing it would draw no reaction from him. ”A drink, would you like?” She asked as she held out her flask. But once again, there was no hope. Whatever happened to him, it broke any remaining humanity he still had left.

She failed. Once there was still a chance to win him over. There was a chance to save him from his path of destruction. She failed in that pursuit. The darkness tugged at the back of her mind, memories of her fight against her former master surging through her. ”Dimitri… failed you, have I?” She muttered as her face sank.

Her time for talking was over as she felt anger and anticipation boil in Kragr. She didn’t even have time to stop him before he charged at Dimitri. Yenna sprung into action, drawing the Force through her and extending it to Kragr in hopes of shielding his mind against Dimitri’s potential onslaught. She jumped up, using Kragr’s shoulder as a platform to lunge further as she attempted to yank the Sith off balance.

Despite knowing that her chances were up, she was determined to try one last time at least. Even if it took Kragr caving his chest in to subdue him. She knew that Dimitri wouldn’t be able to go down that easily.

HEAVEN HUNG IN BLACK

He could cut the anticipation in the Mandalorian with a knife.

The Dragon knew the Jedi would try to reason with him. She always tried. And once upon a time she may have had a chance in reaching the man that had been hidden within the monster. But that man had died with his brother on Tython.

Only the Dragon remained now.

"Dimitri… failed you, have I?"
Empty red eyes looked at her.
"I am not your failure, Little One." his deep baritone said, devoid of emotion.

But his attention snapped back to the Mandalorian as he felt the surge in anger. An impatient warrior - what a rookie mistake. As the large Mando'ad started to move forward, the Dragon merely lifted his free hand to send a powerful Force Blast into the Mandalorian's chest to send him sprawling to halt his advance.

But the little Jedi had already used the bit of a distraction the Mandalorian had given to lunge at the Sith Lord from the giant's back. Instead of waiting for her, Darth Hydrus stepped forward with incredible speed to strike at her little body in mid air with his blade.

At the same time, his free hand reached into the empyrean to start Draining her Force. All the while, the Dragon kept his senses open - fully aware of his surroundings should the Mando'ad decide to try again.

"Get up and fight, Mando'ad!"

There was a sickening frenzied squeal of delight from beneath the Mandalorian helm as the corridor filled with the splashing of blood and gore against all surfaces occupied by the onslaught of the little mawites as they scrambled and did what they could against an enemy completely unknown to them. A flurry of lashes and powerful, quad armed swings powerful enough to cleave through the strongest armed saber defense.

"Grrah, hff, RAAH!! COME ON! I'M HERE! I'M RIGHT KARKIN HERE!" A voice screeched as a lady mawite found the heavy force of the beskar enhanced blade clashing against her saber with such incredible devastation the saber was shoved into her own body, cleaving through her own chest as she fell to the ground among her fellow god children. "Feth! CURSE YOU BASTARD MONST-" the violent, messy sound of a body being split from skull to stomach filled the halls, the golden trimmed axe then crunching from the bones as the strange lifeform pulled the weapon from the eviscerated sithling.

"Silence prey, know your place as meat to be slaughtered." She cooed, sharp, taloned feet stepping onto the body of one mawite with with the sassy demeanor of an animal wiped her bloodied feed on their robes before hopping off their bodies with a giddy skip further down the corridors of the massive facility. Twisting, alert eyes all shifting and darting about the hall while dragging her axe behind her lazily with her tail swishing about in the kind of raw pleasure only a feral creature could derive from such twisted carnage.

She felt almost high...almost. In this moment, focus on the next challenge boiled her synapses, vision clouded with a need for something better, something more...but in the end the godlings would always be so...simple.

Simple, senile prey.

And as the five eyes of the alien focused on a singular warrior, clad in armor with a voice spilling from their helm like fire as he addressed the blood stained xeno.

"You are an odd creature." He observed, causing Dima to tilt her head confused as she looked her new opponent up and down clearly with a gesture of her head. "You might be worth my time." He stated while igniting his blade, slowly approaching the creature as Dima just stood there completely paused.

"Oh...single combat at last? None of your little mawlings trying to help you?" Dima gasped, their childlike whimsy almost clear in their idle motions and gestures as Dima suddenly took the massive axe and while holding it outward to the side Dima giggled in amusement and slowly lowered herself in a bow. Lower hands plucking the sides of her long, purple tunic, now partially shredded and tattered, stained in blood. "Finally, a worthy and confident warrior. Dima is delighted to make you her prey~" She cooed before returning to upward stance, bringing the axe forward and pointing it towards Valgus Ren . "After all, without the loving embrace of your god your always just be another sad little mouse~" She provoked, those two lashers behind her swishing and becoming agitated while her tail poised. "And i relish in knowing that!"

Dima walked forward at equal pace as the man, her lower two arms on her left held the weapon while the two on the right remained open and positioned differently. Low chittering erupting from her helm as that tail behind the mando rattled and the Xeno whistled teasingly before suddenly, when about a couple yards away, Dima quickly dashed forward with powerful legs, bringing the Axe up high above her head with two arms, and with a broad, diagonal stroke to cover most of the space in front of her. Her other arms remained inactive while she brought the axe down on him, rather he blocked or dodged, she would use this as a way to test the godlings might. "COME ON THEN! KISS THE FEET OF YOUR GOD! BEG FOR HIS POWER YOUR GOING TO FETHING NEED IT GODLING!"

Let the carnage unfold.

Electra-12 grunted as she pulled on the yoke, working hard to keep the trio of Beviin-class starfighters to one side of her TIE. With their wings set in attack posture, the enemy craft were slow, but in exchange, they gained agility. As such, it went without saying that overshooting them was a deadly risk. She had gleaned that much from them so far, but since so much was still a mystery about these new, deadly Mandalorian starfighters, Electra had tried to keep her distance, reining in any ambitious aggression on her part.

Nevertheless, the enemy pilots had drawn Electra into a dangerous turning fight, compelling the strand-cast to turn or die. Fortunately, Electra had all of her cards left to play, even as missile targeting locks began to howl in her ears. In answer, the strand-cast activated her countermeasures, firing off a burst of nano missiles that threw up a plume of sensor-obfuscating nagnol gas upon detonation, confusing the guidance systems of the incoming warheads. From there, Electra threw her TIE into a lateral drift towards her starboard trajectory, turning the nose of her craft roughly 90 degrees on its yaw to face one of the Mandalorian bandits in the process. Eschewing the use of the targeting computer, the strand-cast took a snap shot at the bandit just as their craft passed in front of her TIE’s weapons, cast forth a pair of coruscating disruptor bolts which overloaded her target’s shields and vaporized parts of its hull!

Eyes widening in focus, the strand-cast pulled the yoke, turning her TIE’s nose back in line with its trajectory as the two remaining fighters maneuvered to get onto her six. Immediately, Electra seized the initiative, rolling her wings to starboard to create a turning battle where the enemy pilots were reluctant to do so after seeing the maneuverability of her TIE. One of the Mandalorian pilots set their starfighter’s wings back into the flight position, before shunting power to engines in an attempt to disengage. Nevertheless, the action came far too late, allowing Electra to get onto the bandit’s six before opening fire with her TIE’s quartet of heavy beam cannons, which lanced through the void to strike the enemy fighter on the inside of its port-side wing, sending the craft into an uncontrolled spiral before its stowed warheads cooked off in a fiery explosion. Seeing their wingmate’s error, the remaining bandit stayed committed to the engagement, pulling a hard break in the attempt to force an overshoot. However, Electra didn’t bite. She answered immediately, pulling a barrel roll up and out of her turn, before pulling back down on the yoke, bringing her TIE back into the turn…

And with a perfect firing solution.

Nostrils flaring in anticipation, Electra willed her beam cannons to fire, landing a direct hit on the bandit’s fuselage, their shields overloading within less than a moment, allowing the beams to lance through the cockpit, vaporizing the hapless pilot.

With a sigh of relief, Electra pulled her TIE back into level flight and gave a short burst of the SLAM in order to build her speed back up, before deactivating it in order to recharge her weapons.

When it came to Mandalorians, she needed to be ready for anything.

  • Since the smoke blocks both normal and thermal vision, neither side can see the other
    • The Mawites use this to their advantage, flanking the smoke cloud from both sides
    • They fire into the cloud at random, hoping to bring down their enemies with volume of fire
  • Kralmus takes Fenn's punch, suffering a chest bruise
  • He activates and swings with his pair of contained energy axes

ChVAW7n_d.webp

It didn't take long for the Enclave troops to take measures to counteract the attackers' thermal vision, which painted them clearly against the snow. They deployed smoke grenades - and not just any ordinary ones, which would not have done much to disrupt the infrared spectrum - all around their own position. It didn't make any sense to Kralmus, to be honest. Although it granted them cover against the attacking Mawites, who could only see a billowing grey cloud above the smoke, it disadvantaged the Enclavers inside that smoke even more. If neither visual nor thermal senses could pierce it, the poor fools had just blinded themselves, making it impossible to shoot targets outside the cloud.

The attackers could see the cloud and shoot into it, if not accurately. The defenders couldn't see much of anything at all.

Taking advantage of the fact that the enemy position was clearly visible - they were somewhere inside that gaseous grey mass - and the fact that those inside couldn't see them, the Mawites fanned out. They didn't just stay in front of the cloud; they flanked around the sides of it. Those within had no idea they were being surrounded on three sides until the Brotherhood troops began pouring blasterfire into the smoke. They had no way to pick targets, of course, but the cloud was a confined space. If they focused enough firepower on it, they were going to hit something. And they had the advantage of being able to see where they were going, unlike the blinded troops inside.

Any Enclaver who walked out of the smoke, of course, would immediately and accurately be lit up by the warriors waiting outside.

All of this, of course, meant that Kralmus Orr - who had charged directly into the midst of the enemy - was in as much danger from his own troops as he was from the enemy. Blaster bolts pinged off of his armor, disrupting his balance and blackening the crimson finish, and he couldn't even tell which side was shooting him... because neither could they. Up close, at least, it was possible to peer through the murk and see at least the outline of his foes. At least, he assumed they were his foes. No one else had charged along with him, and his jetpack-assisted leap through the snow had put him well ahead of any other Brotherhood warriors who might eventually close to melee range.

The cannibal's little flamethrower plan had worked... at least a little bit. His target, another fully-armored Mandalorian, slipped and slid as he dodged back from Kralmus's sudden attack. It didn't keep him off-balance for long, though. The Enclaver curled his hand into a fist and threw a punch right at Kralmus's center of mass. Seeing it coming, the cannibal's first inclination was to laugh. All these deadly weapons and armor-mounted gadgets at their disposal, and the battle had immediately descended into fisticuffs? That seemed... tactically unwise, to put it gently. But he realized an instant later, as the fist whistled towards him, that it wore a mighty Mandalorian Crushgaunt.

... which would have been a concern if the attack was a grab, but not so much with a punch.

So Kralmus stayed put. He tanked the punch, feeling it connect with his beskar breastplate in a solid wham-scrape of metal on metal. The impact drove him back a step, almost making him stumble on the half-melted snow, and he could feel a bruise forming on his sternum; armor could keep the impact from pulping his bones, but it couldn't negate it entirely. Fortunately, it was just an armored punch. A crushgaunt amplified the wearer's strength tremendously... but only his grip strength. The gauntlet could crush skulls and crumple durasteel into neat little balls if it grabbed onto them, but it did nothing at all to put any additional force behind a simple closed-fist punch.

And throwing the punch meant that Kralmus's foe had stayed in melee range...

... right where the cannibal wanted him.

"Ow," the Mawite Mando murmured. Then he struck back. He had lost the two-handed axe he so favored when he'd been blown up on Argovia, but he'd found a pair of replacements he quite liked. With the push of a button, his contained energy axes hummed to life. A centimeter of plasma crackled along the cutting edge - the perfect kind of weapon for cracking open heavily-armored targets like Enclavers. And Fenn was well within reach, even of the relatively short-handled weapons. Swinging with both hands, Kralmus brought his axes in like scissor blades coming together - one sweeping in from the left at Fenn's neck, the other zooming in from the right at Fenn's hip.

The Enclaver had better either be very quick or really, really trust in that beskar armor of his.

They were coming.

Amidst the sounds of blaster fire and inhumane yells, it was abundantly clear that the Maw was coming. It had been a long time since Faison had stood in the defense of his brothers within the Enclave, yet Rothana would be the place he would do it. He stood alongside a companion of his; a brother he had found during an excursion into the Vong deadzone of Kestri to purge the seedlings of the pestilential race upon the Enclave’s spiritual heartland.

Faison Kelborn and Parvon Uln stood side by side, flanked on either side by two other kinsmen the scion of Clan Kelborn had reunited with during his travels abroad to cleanse his soul of the past. But this was no social gathering - this was a call to arms. The small group of commandos advanced through the corridors of the shipyard, moving against the sporadic tide of dock workers retreating from the carnage elapsing behind them.

As they approached the corner leading into one of the breached sections of the shipyard, Faison’s hand rose with a balled fist in the air; causing the other three to pause midstep. Faison slowly peered around the corner...

He could hear it first - the sounds of what could only be described as an abomination feasting upon the flesh of a fallen Enclave marine not but 20 meters away. Swarms of other Sithspawn writhed in the background, charging fleeing civilians who futilely ran for their lives down a branching corridor to the right - heedlessly rushing into even more breached sections of the station.

<“We do this right.”> Faison’s voice began, bleeding over the secure inter-squad comm channel between himself and his companions. <“We draw their attention down this corridor and into the killzone. Wyl, you have the trap set?”>

<“Confirmed.”>

Wyl was a man of few words, but when he said he did something - he usually did it. With a silent not, Faison motioned for the squad to array itself in a diagonal line - keeping out of view around the corner. Then on his mark, they broke cover in an ascending pattern starting with Parvon at the far right, then with Joachim staggered after him, then Wyl, and finally with Faison.

The momentary delays between each man moving would result in all four squaring up at the same time - their rifles aimed at the Sithspawn eating away at an armored corpse, along with a group of others in the general area.

A second more, and the group of four unloaded into the Mawite creatures.

High-powered blaster fire belched out from Faison’s Viper-series service rifle, grouped in a tight triangle aimed center-mass into @Sisserith’s midsection.

As Mae sat, cloaked and hidden from the battle, she charged her shields. She looked at her monitor and discussed new positions and areas of concentration with her first officer. She looked momentarily over at her shields which had only gained their way back to 76%. As her gaze returned to the monitor, a Mandalorian squadron on the far side of the battle had some unusual and rapidly changing parameters. They were dropping like flies, as if there was an anti fighter corvette over there picking them off, but the power readings were too small for that to be the problem. "Get us there!" she ordered her first mate as she pointed to the position on the monitor in front of them.

Moments later they were headed at full speed, while still cloaked, across the battle. As they approached the last known position of the Delta-5 squadron, Mae looked to her shields, now at 79%. She hated wasting a cell this early in the battle, but there was something out there, much like herself, and she thought better safe then sorry. "One Kyber Cell to shields..." She whispered to her engineer as she kept her eyes glued to the sensors and monitors. She then looked up and out of her cockpit and spotted a dark tie fighter. Her eyes darted from her monitor and back to it. There was not a trace of evidence at least technologically that the ship should be there. It then dawned on Mae that the TIE must be operating some sort of sensor jammer or distortion device and due to the fact that she has top of the line sensors installed, the TIE must have next gen technology. She knew that this Bird of Prey, was the reason for the loss of Delta-5 Squadron.

Mae eased her ship backwards as the kyber cell hit the shields boosting them to 99%. Just as the kyber cell released and boosted the shields, the TIE came alive. The sudden power surge must have been detectable through her cloak. Mae cursed herself for such a rookie mistake, but did not have time to dwell on it as the TIE was on top of her in a split second after.

Mae initiated emergency maneuvers all the while ordering her gunners to ignore the targeting system and to fire on line of sight. She heard her gunners complaints echo through the ship as the TIE's dark color made it easier to hide among the stars and harder to track line of sight. She made a note to herself, that if she made it out of this alive, she would have to run more drills with line of sight targeting.

The gunners began to pelt the TIE as the two craft ran circles around one another and could not line up firing solutions for frontal attacks. This was definitely an advantage to Mae between the two craft, but the fact that the TIE maneuvered and moved much like her own, she knew that her advanced systems were on par with her foe and she would not be able to gain too much of an advantage there, as she had successfully accomplished with most of her already bagged kills.

As the Interceptors medium cannons picked at the TIE, Mae wondered what further surprises her new foe would bring to light.

Secure the intel. Khael should have put the old Mando'ad on his ass with a kov'nyn, sending the Chiss warrior off to... what, collect some datapads? Khael's proverbial trigger finger itched, desperate to meet the foe head-on with Dha'kumura in hand. He would redeem the Vhijaric name with the Sith blood spilt this day, even if it meant his death. With the Maw hammering at the doors, either option seemed likely.

<"Khael, get to the forward tunnels, now! Kato and the others are about to get slaughtered. I'm on my way!">

Khael spun about immediately, his legs powering down the corridors and hallways as he raced for the old di'kut. Sure, he'd just been contemplating giving Kato a smack for sending him on an errand, but only for the very reason that was now occurring. The squad was weaker apart, which given Juno was outside on sentry duty meant they were already reduced. To then hand Khael the task of a neverd was truly a fool's act, but not one Kato deserved to die for.

Khael activated his comlink as he sprinted. "What did you see, Juno? What am I running into?"

Even as he spoke, he felt a strange sensation building within himself, one he recognised as coming from his budding connection to the Force that he was slowly learning to listen to. It was not easy during the meditation he tried to do in private, but here with the prospect of battle - or imminent slaughter - breathing down his neck, he understood implicitly.

"Argovia..." he said under his breath as he was reminded of that recent operation. He picked up the pace, feeling himself beginning to sweat despite the cold suffusing his bones. He would be there soon, but maybe not soon enough.

"Kato!" Khael bellowed into his comm, opening up a channel with the old man, "you need to pull back! Juno and I are on the way. No jarose!"

By the time her TIE’s mass detection and crystal sensors caught the cloaked fighter, it was almost too late.

Luminescent magenta orbs went wide with shock beneath the transparent visor of her helmet, but Electra did not let her surprise compromise her ability to act. The strand-cast immediately sensed that this might not be traditional engagement, if only for the fact that she would be forced to rely on her sensors and targeting computer to keep track of the bandit, since their cloaking device deprived her of sight. That meant no snap shots, a tactic which Electra had refined and developed as a key component of her flying style, often making her a sniper in the void.

In order to survive, she would need to operate outside of her comfort zone.

The bandit’s laser fire bracketed her TIE’s shields, draining much of their charge. Indeed, Electra was saved by the fact that the enemy gunners had been unable to acquire good firing solutions due to her craft’s stealthy characteristics. Unfortunately, her shields were lightweight and as such, weren’t able to withstand fire for long, evidenced by the fact that after only two hits, they sat at less than 60% capacity.

Pulling her TIE into a hard break to port, Electra maneuvered to keep the enemy bandit off of her six, before long, both fighters were flying circles around each other. Immediately, the strand-cast put another card into play by activating her TIE’s tractor guidance system, which automatically interfaced with her sensors and targeting computer to acquire a lock on the bandit.

As soon as the lock was confirmed, Electra opened fire, delivering a blistering salvo defined by a quartet of shimmering pink beams which aggressively homed in on the bandit’s fuselage, guided to their target by invisible tractor beam pulses. All four cannons were discharged in a short burst that burned for roughly a second. In doing so, the strand-cast had set two of the cannons to the ion beam firing module, with the objective of disabling her target’s cloak, weapons, shields, and other vital combat systems. The other two were set on the standard particle beam module, with the simple aim to vaporize the bandit via sheer energy output, with an explosive effect!
