Oh man! I am on such a Star Wars high at the moment :D . Wonderful to meet you all! I am currently rocking out to Scherzo for X-Wings as I type this. (What a lovely new John Williams track). Already seen TFW three times an I'm still craving more and more Star Wars, so here I am. I've done some Rp/recreational writing in the past, even dabbled into some Star Wars threads over at RP Nation, but now I'm looking to dive in head first into the star wars universe. (hopefully here to stay for a while, this site looks very promising). Everything seems a bit overwhelming though. Any recommendations on where to start?

Also, just for fun, I'd like to get your opinion on the Force Awakens. Personally I rank it at third, ahead of RotJ and only beaten by Star Wars and Empire. Such an emotional roller coaster of a film, and what seems to be a near perfect start to the new trilogy.

Btw, how often does the site go down like that? It was out all yesterday for me :/

Welcome. Our shared server is experiences issues right now but we expect it to be up and running again soon.

I recommend you start your SW journey by visiting the Top Banner and clicking on Rules and Holonet. Should give you some background on our timeline and the galaxy map. After that, create a character, join a faction, or just jump right into a RP. It's a big site so explore and browse often. Cheers! And verily enjoy your stay. :D

Welcome to Chaos! I'd recommend you first browse the rules so you know what's what, then mosey on over to the factions directory, here. Have a look around in there, see what faction takes your fancy (or if none are appealing, you can always make your own. Hell you don't even need to join any of them if you don't want to) and then hop on over to the character creation forum. See what other people are putting out to get an idea, then make whatever character your heart so desires!

As for on my opinion of TFA, I thought it was pretty bad overall. Couldn't really relate to the characters and the storyline was too similiar to episode IV. Don't get me started on emo Kylo Ren, as you already know! Not the best face for a Sith, haha.

Finally, the site is really quite stable. Just the service provider is currently subject to a rather nasty DDoS attack.

Don't worry I won't hahaha. I enjoy him as a villain just because he's a whiny loser. Reminds me of good old Anakin Skywalker lol (except he's not the protagonist, so that's good).

Thanks for the advice! Can't wait to get started.
