I've Met My End
Name: Guardian (Ven’s Sithspawn body)
Designation: Sentient
Homeworld: Sluis Van
Language: Basic
Height of Adults: 6’5”, 1.95 meters
Skin color: Tanned ‘peach’ (Olive toned)
Hair color: A dark brown with streaks of red
Breathes: Type 1
Strengths:
Races: N/A
Estimated Population: Unique (1)
Diet: Various meats, greens, fruits, and pastries. Typical human diet.
Communication: Spoken and written.
Culture: Guardian is Ven, so Ven is Guardian, and so its culture is the same as hers. Sekairos typically fit within the same spectrum as near-humans (Nulls, Epicanthix, and Hapans are the most common species they belong to). Describing them, however, can be quite difficult, as the family is large enough to be spread out across the galaxy. In general they do seem to hold virtues such as honor, loyalty, and willpower in high standing. Ven is a good example of that.
Technology level: Advanced. Ven has access to some of the latest technology (thanks to her relationship with Circe), so, by extent, her new body does as well.
General behavior: Generally Ven, well, she acts like Ven. Her body follows her commands, and doesn’t affect her personality much. Due to the darkside nature of its creation she does feel an increased level of anger. In general, however, the body, thanks to her, lives up to its name. It protects her while she protects others.
History: Dev thread
After spending several years in the outer rim, Ven’Rain Sekairo realized that the war was going south for her old allies, the Republic. Knowing that her family would be at risk if they lost, she decided to rejoin the military. But she knew that her body (at the time), was of a low quality, made in a rush by members of the Horde some years earlier. In order to increase her chances of survival she decided to get an old friend to create a new body for her.
Circe Savan was more than willing to assist her. They reunited in orbit above Sluis Van before nearly immediately getting to work. While Circe prepped the labs, Ven went out in search for a subject to use as a ‘DNA’ base. After some time she ran into a mysterious Firrerreo with admirable qualities. One ‘deal’ later she had several good samples, which she quickly took back to Sluis Van. By the time she returned her old lover had finished preparing the lab, along with her alchemy tools.
To start the actual process, Circe took the DNA samples and created a clone. Several weeks passed before the body was fully grown. While that doesn’t seem like long, the body was treated with a process to speed its growth for its first month or so of existence. Once it was ready (AKA when it had reached the adult stage) Circe did what had to be done to get Ven’s soul into the body. In other words… Ven was decapitated unexpectedly, causing her soul to exit its vessel, before her love latched onto her spirit with the force and forced her into the clone.
Somehow, through a seemingly intricate alchemy procedure that involved a tincture of some sorts, Circe forced the darkside into the new body. Powered by the intense pain that Ven had felt (both in that moment and over the years), she enhanced the vessel, strengthening its muscles, increasing its reflexes, and adding a level to its regenerative capabilities. Understandably it made Ven feel wretched, and she entered a coughing fit until it was over. Luckily she made it out alright. All that was left was to rip her from the force (in order to make her force dead) and then test her body’s abilities.
As it turns out, riding her of the force was ‘simpler’ than she had thought. Circe cut her off in the middle of the shower, ripping her from the force, and sending her to the tile floor. Several hours passed before she was able to test her abilities. Warming up with a combat droid resulted in her getting her butt kicked, but she blamed it on her lack of practice, along with her unfamiliarity with the body. After further testing the base extent of her powers was revealed. With the state of her body being deemed acceptable, the duo called it a day, planning on continuing her recovery later on...
Notable Player-Characters: Ven’Rain Sekairo
Intent: To replace Ven’s old, painfully slow body.
Designation: Sentient
Homeworld: Sluis Van
Language: Basic
Height of Adults: 6’5”, 1.95 meters
Skin color: Tanned ‘peach’ (Olive toned)
Hair color: A dark brown with streaks of red
Breathes: Type 1
Strengths:
- Physical Prowess: Due to both the Firrerreo base DNA used in the body and the alchemy used to alter the body, the Guardian is extremely strong. It’s perfectly capable of lifting weights four times as heavy as the average human (of the same level of fitness as it) could. Like your average Firrerreo, the Guardian is capable of surprising strength, even when tired or starving. In addition the body is capable of great endurance (once again compared to an average human). This is partially due to the base DNA used, of course.
- Force Dead: Being force dead, the Guardian can’t be sensed with the force, nor can it be interacted with directly via the force. Understandably it’s still possible to find her by specifically looking for a ‘void’ in the force, but that becomes a lot more difficult when other force dead beings (such as Vong) are around.
- Regenerative Abilities: Thanks to the Firrerreo genes that form the base of the Guardian, the body has a high rate of healing. Simple/minor wounds can heal within minutes, while larger wounds can take a few days. As long as vital areas are not hit (such as the heart, lungs, or brain) a Firrerreo can recover from ‘almost’ any wound. Ven’s new body is no exception. Its healing rate, due to the altering that Circe Savan did, is slightly, though not much, greater than the average Firrerreo’s.
- Firrerreo Traits (Other): Once more the Guardian’s base DNA affects its final state. It has a nictitating membranes, offering protection to the eyes, while also allowing it to see into the ultraviolet spectrum. In addition the Firrerreo genes give the body extra sharp canines perfect for tearing into flesh- for whatever reason that might be necessary.
- Force Dead 2: Being force dead meant more than simply being able to resist force users. It (obviously) meant that the being who was force dead had no access to force powers themselves. The Guardian cannot use any force-based abilities. Slightly less obviously is the fact that helpful force powers have no effect on the Guardian. Force healing (which is very useful for more serious injuries) does not work, battle meditation will ignore the body, and trying to calm the mind will do nothing.
- Size: Hiding a nine foot tall Sithspawn with horns had been nearly impossible. Hiding a six-and-a-half foot tall one without horns is easier, but still difficult. There aren’t many spaces that the Guardian can hide in without the aid of stealth technology. While the body is still capable of average speeds (roughly 18mph while running), it has little room for improvement, even with physical training, due to it’s weight and build. In summary, the Guardian can not be hidden easily, and isn’t exactly fast, though it isn't exactly slow.
- Medical Issues: Understandably, going to a doctor doesn’t seem like something that the Guardian would do often, considering its healing abilities. However, there are definitely some injuries that it can’t heal on its own. In addition there are those that require immediate attention- more immediate than its healing factor can deliver. Unfortunately the average medisensor is unable to recognize a Firrerreo’s medical stats unless it’s specifically programmed for the species. Due to this, and general issues with the species, performing first aid (or medical procedures in general) can be quite difficult.
- Darkside Roots: Being born in the darkside tends to alter someone’s traits to some degree. The Guardian has been affected clearly by the methods of its creation. For one, despite the nature of Ven (whose soul inhabits the body), the Guardian experiences strong emotions more often than the average being. It’s generally quick to anger, and a fair amount of effort is needed to stay calm and focused in the middle of a fight. Additionally, though the body no longer has a force signature, the Guardian seems to give off a ‘bad’ vibe to most people. People who aren’t familiar with Ven tend to shy away from it. Empathizing or sympathizing with the Guardian is not always easy.
(People are less likely to help the Guardian, it takes longer to earn their trust, and diplomacy becomes nearly impossible)
- Rapid healing Factor
- Two-toned hair
- Nictitating membranes
- Large size
