Description: A special variant of the older, and revived, Hammerhead Cruiser, though its size in the modern era classifies it as a Frigate class vessel. These new Mark II variants fresh out of the drydocks of Rendili Stardrive's main shipyards are a prototype utilizing Rendili's famous, yet very expensive and seldom employed, Proton-8 Reactor. The reactor itself generates the same amount of power the I-a2b reactors could produce for the Imperial Star Destroyers during the reign of Palpatine, but at 1/4 the size. Thus by employing the reactors with interested buyers with the resources, Rendili Stardrive has produced several modern Hammerhead vessels with the Proton-8 Reactor in place of the standard one. Thus providing the ships with the equivalent energy of old imperial star destroyers, thus vastly improving the ships shields strength and duration because as a smaller ship their shields are less spread out and their previous reactors could not produce nearly as much power. This also enables the Hammerhead MK II vessels to enhance their firepower without too much drain and maintain an average speed without suffering due to a lack of power. The one drawback of this particular design is the ship has to reduce speed to use it's redundant shield as there is not enough power to supply both systems at the same time. When the redundant shield is engaged the ship is forced to reduce speed to that of a class 6 engine. However, because of how expensive each reactor is to put together and install in addition to the ships themselves, very few of the vessels can be produced timely and only when a buyer has pockets deep enough.

Assault frigate should be speed class 6

All looks good otherwise!

We were figuring it would be quicker due to its minor production and the better reactor giving it more power than the standard assault frigate. As for the Image credit I'll work on that when I get on a computer

Ok, even with the dev thread and advanced reactor, it is still just a little frigate and you already have effectively three advanced systems (redundant shields, advanced shields, extra engine power)

I'd like to to drop one of those three please!

Sure if it must be changed it will be though out of curiosity I thought the general rule of thumb was major production allows for one advanced system, dropping to minor allows for two and the dev thread portion allows for a third? If not that is fine as I said I'll make the change just trying to clarify what is likely just my own misinterpretation.

[member="Vladimir Kirov"] If you drop the redundant Shields and mention that in emergencies it's better off attempting to use its speed to escape than relying in backup Shields, i'd be happy to approve. Even minor ships with dev threads should have some minor flaws to balance out the strengths.

[member="Raziel"] How about a compromise of having both systems but power only being able to be allocated to one or the other at any given time so it can't accelerate with the redundant shields engaged and vice versa?
