A grin spread on the redheads lips. Slowly, but with malice nonetheless they spread from side to side to expose pearly whites that seemed almost a bit too clean. The tip of the redhead’s tongue swept along the surface of her lip to wet them before they closed again with a final mocking chuckle. The trap had been sprung, and the prey had stepped right into it. Caught by the wrist, unable to understand what was going on.
“Guess whose fingerprints are on the murder weapon.” Sena chuckled again. “First rule. Never trust anyone.”
Security came by the café. A sweep for the murderer had begun then. Eyes motioned from Eshtaol to the men who had arrived. If she was a smart girl she would know to hide the weapon right away, and if she didn’t… Well, Sena was just a mere observer in this! A by-stander, officer. Surely she could go on her way. She was innocent and they knew it, the girl had been behaving rather oddly ever since they met maybe twenty minutes ago.
The prey that Esh had set her eyes on had already swept out of sight by the time the guards approached their table.
