"Well, at least you're not ignorant to my good looks." Adron muttered, in a matter of fact tone to Alessandra.
Again Alessandra pushed up from his chest, this time to reveal the small pendant she kept around her necklace. The Minister of War had never given it a second thought, dismissing it as a standard piece of jewelry. His hand wrapped around the token, rolling it over in his hands while he gave it a closer look. His hands brushed against it and there was a feeling that Adron had rarely seen before. "I see...." He said, before giving Alessandra a challenging smirk. "Ahhh, now I see the source of Minister Creed's renown." Obviously joking, Adron's eyes flitted as he was pulled from the tree behind him.
When Alessandra pulled Adron down he immediately moved over her, his hands pressing into her's while he showed an understanding expression. "Epicanthix. That makes a lot of sense, actually."
"But, regardless of what you are....You can't hurt me." He promised, still holding that cocky expression that defined so much of his personality. His hand was placed softly on Alessandra's cheek as hers was laid upon his. She had a warm touch that invited him lower, closer towards her. "We both know you're more than that." He said. Behind Adron a soft thud had erupted from the tree's trunk, barely loud enough to be heard.
Adron had lowered himself to where he and Alessandra's lips were but a hair from each other. Yet when the thud impacted into the tree, he glanced up at it with an arched brow. Staring at the small metallic piece with a curious expression it took the Minister a moment to realize what it was.
A poison dart.
In a moment of reaction, his hand flew to his waist where his lightsaber had hung lifelessly until now. Taking the silver hilt into his hand, his eyes scanned the scenery surrounding him as he held a hand out to Alessandra, silently telling her to remain on the ground. "It's time to go."
Adron brought himself up into a half-kneel where he could better react, yet still nothing had shown itself. "Go." A rapid snap-hiss erupted from his weapon as the purple blade sprang from it's emitter. His second lightsaber still hung from his blade, yet his hand now lingered over it in anticipation.
