Hard to port!

Ayy was getting stressful, her hauling shifts were going well but she hadn't really been sociable these last few weeks due to a lengthy haulage mission. As such once she had dropped off the goods and received payments she searched for the nearest spaceport, glad she upgraded the dashboard panel from the YT-1300 model cockpit she used with her YT-2000 ship, preferring the seating style of the 1300 it took her a while to fully finish updating the console to look sleek and perform well but the effort was justified here, a few nearby space stations flaring up. She set a course for the nearest one and docked with it. Stepping onto the station she smiles to herself, blasting hanging off her waist as she struts through, looking for a nice cantina to set down in, eventually finding a suitable one she sat down at the counter, ordering a few drinks so she could enjoy a job well done and maybe chat to some people.

They'd met before in crisis, and at Void. And now she met her again.

The Twi'Lek was unmistakable as she strutted through the door. Goggles, Black vest, Utility belt. Yeah that was her. Jada looked up from her hand of Pazaak and grinned, hair pulled back into a ponytail, clad only in her familiar blue coveralls, with her ships name and her own name sewn on the front.

The Cantina itself was a dive. Rusty steel chairs, old tattered wooden coutertop and walls. Lanterns swung from the ceiling, shining yellow rays through a haze of smoke, and the stickers of different crews and ships logos adorned the wall. Hers was there too. SS Quantum Runner. with a little star burst of blue behind it.

Grease of course stained them.

Hypderdrive tune ups. Again.

"Ay you!" She shouted, drunker than she really should have been in this environment.

"What ya doin? Come play some cards!"

Ayy heard a familiar voice, turning around she manages to see where it came from; it seems she was destined to keep coming across this lady. She grinned and nodded to her "Actually it's Ayy, two ys remember? Hold it a bit, although for you hun you can call me Seela." she strides over to the card table, sitting down next to Jada, the arrival of two rather beautiful females suddenly making this table very popular with onlookers. "Still greased up? That ship looks to be giving you more trouble than a YT-1300 with a faulty backup hyperdrive." she waits to be dealt a hand, tapping her hands on her lap, her lekku draped down in front of her this time.

"Yea you could say that. Folks say Jast vessels are held together by grease and spacer tape, but hell, it's cheap and super moddable. Can't complain."

She shoved a few bottles Ayy's way and grinned, then threw more chips down as a bet.

"Have a drink and take a load off. We'll get a place to catch up after this hand. Sound good?"

"Sounds worse than CEC's business model. Although granted my ship is pretty special. Limited run, hence why you don't see it much. Did you know that Corellia supported the rebel alliance? The YT-2000 was made to be a ship for smugglers to use to get past imperial ships. Thing of beauty she really is." she catches the bottles, starting to down them at an impressive pace, seems the lady had a good stomach for alcohol. "Sounds excellent. If you want I can give you a tip with this hand; I've always been oddly good at the game."

Jada raised and eybrow as she met Ayys gaze. She'd seen her work some magic with guns and other stuff. But now Pazaak? She could be a card counter, or she could be gifted. Force maybe?

Either way she wouldn't press the issue unless she brought it up. That'd reveal that Jada had used her own abilities to rob this table to the tune of several thousand creds. Here and Canto Bight would eventually both catch on.

But until then? Pay day!

"Sure shoot. What you got?"

Ayy sits next to the girl, looking her cards over as she strokes her chin, looking up at each of the other players, after a while of studying she subtly nods to encourage Jada to play this round, she didn't quite know why, but she felt it. "So how come I keep running into you, cutie? Are you my damsel in distress needing rescue from a daring smuggler?~" she jokes, sticking her tongue out at Jada before relaxing back, kicking her feet up on the table and downing another drink.

Jada threw em down and cleaned house. This time they grunted and some left the table.

"Nicceee. Eh maybe we just end up in the same places for the same type of work."

Then she shuffled the cards and dealt them once more, glancing at Ayy.

"Or maybe it's something else. Something like.....destiny?"

She gave her a wry grin.
