If I can shoot a .45 with no earpro in an indoor range when I was 6 years old and not suffer any hearing damage, hearing a sound on the internet that's kinda loud won't hurt you
[member="Tracyn"] - Dude, no, completely off topic but trust me when your hearing goes out at the age of forty, you're going to regret firing open ear. That long-term always sneaks up on people.
Edit: Also, you were six. Things tend to heal quickly and effectively at that age range.
Holy heck, everybody calm down, it's a kriffing joke. As far as blowing our your hearing in two minutes or less, I doubt it at any age at that volume. If your $160 headphones blow out from that little burst of noise, contact the manufacturer, because my $20 earbuds have stood up to a sonic pounding from KMFDM, Machine Head and many loud hard rock and metal/industrial bands.
Here's an idea: don't click the button. There's about three hundred and six other threads pointing out what the shiny red button is. If you haven't seen any of them, here's a hint: It's a shiny red button that plays "Harlem Shake." If that's not your bag, leave it alone!
It's been almost a decade and a half(ish) later...I would have had problems by now. You're fine. This is all fine. This thread is fine. It should be locked.

[member="Særa Ayña Sin"] trust me it won't do any permanent damage. now if it was playing at that volume (unsure how loud) for about 15 minutes (God know why anyone would) it could do slight non permanent damage.
seriously though what you herd is nothing compared to going to a gig, they can cause serious damage. hence why I own a pair of noise canceling ear plugs when I'm either playing or watching.
