The doors opened; the trio greeted by volley after volley of blaster bolts, and it was Hanna who reacted first. Quickly she dispatched two of the foursomes, and I used the Force to throw the two droids back with such potency that crashed hard to the floor, temporarily halting the energized onslaught. I glanced back at the others, nodding them to advance, whilst I trotted toward the two droids, striking them down while they struggled to get upright.
Surprisingly, the lack of opposition we suspected to face was nearly void; with only a few stragglers held back in defense. It appeared this commander tossed his entire legion at us below, failing to adjust when we outsmarted him, going top-side and now taking control of the situation inside, whilst we raced against the clock from the incoming complications soaring toward us on the outside. It wasn't until the door was within reach that it spread apart, and four droids emerged before the doos closed behind them.
Droids are a passion of mine. I love creating them, tinkering on them, and create them as a hobby. Even my wolf companion is droid based, created by me. It didn't take me long to recognize the droids, a class from years past, and created soley for melee combat. They had weakened chassis armor, but it was the mimetic combat processor that was housed inside that made them deadly; especially for those who followed the fighting styles of the Jedi or Sith. And of course they wielded Force pikes.
"Aim for the knees," I instructed to the others before stepping up to face the droids, that was their weakest point. In spite of being programmed to utilize pre-set fighting skills, they still were just droids, and as such, were not qualified to think in real time. I knew once we got passed this obstacle, the command center would be ours, so I fell onto the first of the droids, my ashy plasma blade going to work.
