Heart of the Demon Moon

In the glowing red cavern, blood smeared the walls, casting an even more ominous shade of crimson. It was like the trio now fought in a inferno. The dripping blood making the flaming light dance to it’s tune. The blood was from Rage’s own cult members. He cursed inwardly at their deaths, but knew more would follow him eventually. If he lived long enough to gain another following.

He watched as the purple energy that had been channeled into his attack dissipated from the length of his arms. Ballen-Ist had deflected Rage’s own attack and destroyed the remainder of his cult with it. Rage’s attention was completely focused on building up his next attack. He was tapping into his anger, welling it into his very being, expanding his muscles with the force, he felt them contract and writhe. It was as if his body mass had increased three times it’s normal size.

He hopped down to face the Sith, but then the Mandalorian fired at the pillar that his precious throne sat atop of. Rage raced to the falling pillar and used the force to telekinetically lower it to the ground. Audroti anger grew to even greater extents and his burning red gaze glared at the Mandalorian. Nostrils flaring, Audroti fired a powerful blast of force push at the Beskar clad warrior.

“You there, Sith, help me kill this welp. Protect my throne and my allegiance is yours and yours alone!”

The crystal pillar shattered in a satisfactory manner. The goal had been to divide the Sith Lord’s attention, and judging by the level of focus the Sith put into lowering the pillar to the ground, Connory had met that goal. An attack of some kind - telekinesis, lightning, something stranger - would probably follow.

In the meantime, Connory kept moving. Every moment the Sith spent preserving his pillar, the cavern remained uncollapsed. Connory pulsed his repulsor belt and leaped high above Rage’s Force-blast, moving away. The telekinetic wave’s edges sent him spinning against a rock wall and down into a bloody niche. The other Sith and the gunman had slaughtered cultists here, and were probably doing so nearby. Or had that flicker of motion higher up been one of them?

Out of easy sight for the moment, Connory eyed the collapsed main passage. A low-yield thermal detonator roared, then another. Two successive spherical cavities evaporated out of the rock, courtesy of the baradium charges. A choking, burning fog of vaporized stone rolled through the cavern. In the brief cover, Connory crouched and hustled down the field expedient tunnel.

Ballen-Ist had yet to move, watching as [member='Connory'] utilized his repulsor belt to leap high over both of the Sith that were present. He only scoffed at Rage's request, having no intention of attacking the lowly human. He seemed equipped enough, but was clearly on the run. A grin spread across the Pureblood's lips, for perhaps the Mandalorian had forgotten about the MagnaGuard that still lurked.

Attached to the tunnel ceiling with its powerful limbs, the droid crawled quickly towards the rushing Mandalorian, leaping down at him with all its weight. The droid attempted to catch him off guard, hopefully slamming Connory to the ground in an attempt to slow him down. If [member='Darth Rage'] wanted to follow up, that was his decision alone. Ballen-Ist felt no kinship with this Pureblood, despited their shared race.

More than that, Rage was likely on some mad quest, though he admittedly knew little about the Pureblood's true intentions. The way he had dismissed the Sith Empire earlier said a lot, though. This man was not to be trusted. This chamber was somewhat unique, as Ballen-Ist had never seen anything like it. He wondered what connection Rage shared with it.

Ultimately, he cared not, for other enemy forces that controlled Dxun would most likely discover it, and destroy it in the process. Rage did not seem affected by the pillar's collapse initially, perhaps because it was still largely intact. Even so, Ballen-Ist also had no intentions of attacking Rage, though he could not account for the actions of his droid bodyguards.

He was unsure of what had happened to [member="Diranor Cadain"], though if he managed to escape, that would mean this hidden location would become compromised. Lifting an arm in one swift motion, Ballen-Ist's open palm closed around the handle of his Sith sword, returning around soaring around the chamber. He had planned to use further, had the others attacked him. Instead, it was time to leave.

Grasping the layered capes he wore, the Sith stretched out one to reveal its true nature, a cloak that he then wrapped around his body. It masked his figure in a field of invisibility, allowing him to move unseen to the naked eye. Ballen-Ist then leaped, aiming to land back upon the outcropping that he had come from. There would be some rubble to remove, but he would do so with haste.
