Private Heat of the Moment.

Lori had to see Var-Sulis Var-Sulis . The man had been sent into medbay after a fight with Rex, having been knocked unconscious. And after an argument with Rex, she knew that she couldn't go as herself. So she went in disguise. Arla didn't even come with her, for that would have thrown the whole thing off.

She went through his medical report. Var had spent some time in a bacta tank earlier, mending broken bones and injured organs. Now he lay in a bed, still unconscious. Lori just needed to check up on him. It was the same that she'd do for anyone else that she was close to. But the disguise was neccessary. She didn't want to get into trouble. She didn't want Var to get into trouble. Whatever caused the fight needed to be known by her. She heard one side of the story. Now it was time to hear the other side.

That is if he woke up anytime soon.

Lori had some spare moments and so she used them by his side, sitting on a stool next to his bed, watching the monitors closely.

(Boop....Boop.......Boop...) The monitor displayed all his vitals as he lay there on the medical bed. Still breathing..seemingly peacefully at that. The room was small and Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun could smell chemical cleaning agents everywhere. According to Var's medical records, she noticed that there were traces of Xertofix in his system. Whatever that could have meant. His clothing was placed neatly in a pile and off to the side, but without weapons or gadgets. As he lay there, only time would tell when he would wake. Lori could hear footsteps approaching the med bay, they were currently in.

It was weird to see Var-Sulis Var-Sulis sleeping so soundly. She was used to him grinning and looking at her with nearly a twinkle in his eyes. Even when he was concerned for her safety, there was a lot more life to his features than there was now. But he wasn't dying as far as she knew. Thankfully.

The sounds of footsteps caught her attention, making her heart race as she was worried that she'd be caught and her disguise would fail. That would offer a bunch of new problems for her.

So she quickly moved under the bed, glad that her disguise was dark enough to hide her further. And she kept herself back so that she was moreso underneath his upper body than towards the middle. Thankfully she wasn't very big, so she fit well enough....

A man enters the room moments after Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun managed to hide under the medical bed that Var rests peacefully upon. He carried a datapad with him. His thin gaunt face with greyish stumbled facial hair told a tale. He had been at this for a long time. Seeing thousands of patients and treating them accordingly. He was a doctor in recommendation from Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson . Her generous funding contributions to the health department had it's benefits. The older man took a glare up and down at Var curiously before continuing on.

Opening his datapad and clicking on the screen he lowered his glasses before speaking.

Dr.Greyton: "Not sure if you can hear me Mr.Sulis, but you are going to be ok. Vitals are fine. It's a miracle. Nothing was broken beyond repair. Well...maybe your pride, seeing as you haven't been to a health aid clinic in almost 15 years....Annnddd...Let's see here. Swelling will go down. Your one tough guy. Rest easy son..I'll return with your stimulant's."

He nodded with a smirk as he figured he was still having a conversation with himself. Meanwhile, as Var was resting..Beneath the surface of his eye lids, his eyes were in rapid movement as in the deep recesses of his conscious, there was something happening within. A conflict that could alter his perspectives upon awakening.

Lori listened quietly to the doctor. She held her breath but was equally relieved at hearing the report on Var-Sulis Var-Sulis . He was going to be fine. Nothing was broken beyond repair.

Good.

Once he walked out, Lori slipped out from underneath the bed, yet kept close to her spot. The doctor was going to come back shortly, so she'd need to hide again soon. She looked down at his face, watching his eyes. No doubt his dream was a very active one. Perhaps he was dreaming of the fight again, or any other battle in his life. Or even of their spars...

Lori wanted to touch him, but couldn't, afraid that the make-up might come off and be left on him. So instead she whispered quietly near his ear. "You're going to be just fine. Thank the Force. I don't know what I would have done if he killed you. But you're safe now....You're safe..."

(NIGHTMARE!!!)

Var-Sulis: "GGGAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

???: "You feel it don't you?...The agony of defeat..Shame....Pain...It's all there...Including regret...."

Shame: "Father...I am so disappointed in you! How could I even think of forgiving you after the choices you made?!"

Pain: "SUFFER!!! SUFFER"

Regret: "I should have told her...I should have tried harder..I should have given more...I could have stopped her from leaving!"

???: "The DOOR...Reach the door...be reborn...reach the DOOR! I am VISITOR!! REACH THE DOOR!!"

Hope: "You're going to be just fine. Thank the Force. I don't know what I would have done if he killed you. But you're safe now....You're safe..."

Pain: "You CAN NOT ESCAPE!! REX DID NOT ESCAPE! VIET MUNAT DESTRITI!!!"

As He lay there, he suddenly twitches and shakes for a moment as if disturbed. Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun can see on the monitor, his bpm is elevated slightly then it slows.

Lori could only watch. The twitching held her attention the most. That is until the monitors showed that his levels had increased momentarily. She furrowed her brows. Var-Sulis Var-Sulis was probably having a nightmare. Nothing that she had said seemed to justify those reactions. Unless of course her voice had startled him in some way.

Quietly she whispered to him again, while keeping close attention any indication that the doctor was returning. "It's a dream. It's only a dream, Var....You're laying in the medical bay. I'm just waiting for you to wake up. Please wake..."

The last thing that Lori wanted was for Var to end up like Heath. His lapse into a coma was still a mystery....

((((((A familiar voice in the middle of a strange dream . A gentle..yet...WAKE UP! WAKE UP! VAR COME ON! WAKE!)))))

(GASP). Gasping for air as my heart accelerated rapidly my eyes shot open. My body felt cold hot at the same time as I came to the realization I was laying on a bed. Then my eyes were glued on Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun who seemed like a stranger. Although iv'e seen blue-colored humanoids previously, this one was..odd..In the midst of my slight confusion, it all started to come back to me. What happened with Rex Valhoun Rex Valhoun . I did. I really had a scuffle with the King. But first...

"Wh...If your here to finish the job...Too late.." I muttered to her not recognizing who she was...But then..I took another look into her eyes.

"Lor....Fancy get up I must say..Love what you did with the hair." I said lowly as I moved my legs and feet making sure I had feeling in my limbs

Var-Sulis Var-Sulis was awake! The first thing that caught her attention was his gasp for air. And then came his eyes. It took them a moment before they found her, yet they did.

At first there was no recognition in them and for a brief moment of time Lori had forgotten about her disguise. But when she began to reach over to touch him, she saw the blue and pulled her hand back.

"It was the only way that I could see you. Nobody knows that I'm here. I need to keep it that way. The doctor will be back shortly...How do you feel?" Even while focused on Var, Lori kept an earshot out for the doctor's footsteps.

“I feel like Hell if there ever was one. I had the strangest of dreams, but that’s for another time.” I responded while glancing over the room once more. It was in that moment that I knew I needed something more. A change. And it was going to hurt.

“Lori, I need to get out of here. When the doc comes back..One way or another, I’m leaving. I need to get….” I paused thinking about the fact that I surely didn’t arrive at the hospital on my own.

“Can you get me out of here? We’ll go wherever you think a fallen military agent can lick his wounds until he’s ready to ask forgiveness from his King. My mot…My motives…I don’t regret. But the course of action is questionable…not to mention l, if anyone recieves word of my little confrontation, my reputation is all but destroyed.”

He almost killed you....

That was what Lori wanted to tell Var-Sulis Var-Sulis , but didn't. More than likely he already knew that given where he was and how broken his body was. The fact that she saved him wasn't expressed either. It wasn't important at the moment and might never be told at all in the end.

"Yes, I can get you out of here. It's already been arranged for when you were well enough." Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson saw to his care, and they both worked together to find accomodations for him. "We can talk about what happened later. Right now you need to finish healing."

As i turned about and scooted my body upward, I then turned to get off the bay table. While beginning to take off several monitor devices attached to my chest I heard the sound of..Wheels approaching.

"We may have company...Hide..." I quickly told Lori as I reversed my position back to my table. The last thing we needed was someone seeing the two of us in here planning to just leave.

Var-Sulis Var-Sulis was almost as stubborn as she was. If their positions were reversed, Lori would probably be doing what he was doing. She could only smirk as he started removing the wires.

Her eyes widened at the sound of wheels. And here she was expecting just footsteps. Lori nodded quickly and then retook her hiding spot under his bed towards the head of it, trying to make herself be as small as possible.

Daro Roz’yrn

“150 years of getting shot at for a living”
An Dornean male of average height in bulky janitor's coveralls sauntered sleepily into the room. He was pushing what appeared to be a custodial cart with a canvas draped over it. His back was hunched over, in such a way that was obviously fake if anyone looked closely at him, and something in his build suggested he was more military than minimum wage. That, and he was clearly wearing something jagged and edgy under his janitorial outfit. Clearly, infiltration was not his strong suit.

He walked into the room and his eyes fell onto Var-Sulis Var-Sulis with all of his diagnosis wires strewn all around him, disconnected, and sitting on the table. Daro's bushy eyebrows rose high in surprise, but his lips peeled back over his ivory tusks into a delighted grin. "We-ell, son of a Sith-spit! They did say you'd be awake when I got here, but I didn't wanna believe until I saw it myself. I'm assuming you're name is Var-Sulis Var-Sulis right? You look like hell."

He clearly didn't see Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun hiding behind the bed.

I quickly assumed the position as if i was still in immense pain assuming it was a doctor rolling in. And then My eyes would fixate on Daro Roz’yrn Daro Roz’yrn . What a strange looking fellow. Never seen anything similar to his looks before. Was he of Bothan origin? I couldn't be sure. But seeing that he came looking for me raised a few questions that rattled in my brain.

"Who's asking?" I simply replied while remaining calm. My nerves were shot and I was on high alert against any threats that may want to take me out. I couldn't help but assume it could always be a possibility considering my most recent act of transgression.

Daro Roz’yrn

“150 years of getting shot at for a living”
"Who's asking?" I simply replied while remaining calm.

"Ah good, yer not an idiot" Daro muttered dryly at the gowned man's cautious response, and then raised his voice cordially, "I'm here as a favour to a couple of friends of mine; A couple o' nice lassies that can see the future and don't wanna see ya dead. They asked me to pass on a message for you. They said, and I quote here, 'Titana is calling for you, Var-Sulis. Now is the time to join her and get reacquainted. You will need her when the time comes to save those that you love. Vengeance will come and you must be ready. Come to Damascus Station. Please. Daro will take you. Trust him.'" He then grinned again, "I'm Daro, by the way."

He then reached for the canvas that was covering his "janitor cart" and yanked it off, a little dramatically. Inside the bin was some gear that was clearly standard issue marine gear, which suggested that Daro was a marine himself and his outfit under his coveralls was in fact, marine armour to go with it. With the marine gear was also Var-Sulis Var-Sulis 's blaster and personal energy shield, as well as his clothes, freshly cleaned.

"Daro huh?..Well Mr.Daro, those who say the name of Titana, must be acquaintances of the Grand Admiral. And...besides that...Of course, the women wouldn't want to see me dead. Have you seen this face?" I said weakly and coughed to lighten the room. I knew trusting him or not wasn't the issue. But..I figured the more silent I became, the more answers would reveal themselves. I nodded and struggled a bit to get out of the bed. Planting my feet on the ground and walking towards Daro I would salute him and take hold of my gear.

"I have missed my ship. I owe her an apology. Now unless you want to see me naked...I'll need but a moment." I said with a smile. I was coming to my ship finally after quite some time.

Damascus Station? That could only mean one thing; those twins that Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson was talking about. Which meant that it was safe. Daro Roz’yrn Daro Roz’yrn was safe. Which meant that Var-Sulis Var-Sulis was safe. And it was safe for her to come out of hiding.

Lori started to crawl out from behind, but then froze once Var mentioned being naked. No, no, no, she couldn't peek. If word got out about that, then she'd really be in trouble. So instead she hung back to where she was. Maybe Var just used it as an excuse to give her a chance to leave. But more than likely she'd wait until the two were gone anyways.

Daro Roz’yrn

“150 years of getting shot at for a living”
Daro didn't laugh out loud, but his face beamed with a wide grin at Var-Sulis Var-Sulis 's humor. He appreciated that Var wasn't big on complicating things with a game of twenty questions. And what impressed Daro was that he seemed to be the kind of man that was able to work on minimal information as it was available to him. He'd make a good marine if I was in charge of training him, Daro mused to himself.

As for the comment regarding Var's impending nudity, Daro just scoffed in good humour. As a 170 year old war veteran, he wasn't really phased by naked humans. Sure, they were weird, bony, and brown-ish compared to Dorneans. But he had seen enough human intestines throughout his career that an unclothed human barely qualified as a joke anymore. He simply ignored the concern entirely.

But time was going to start running short if they weren't careful, so he started to give Var the run-down, "Funny you should say that you miss her. The Blue Admiral himself must like you. He's a little low on influence these days, since he lobbied to protect the likes of Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson and Viken Dobson Viken Dobson from the bounty on their family's heads, so he's not as powerful as he once was, but he still has some pull with the navy. So… well, maybe it's better if I show ya…"

Daro knew the layout of the hospital and the grounds around it, and about two kilometres away, just outside the window to Var's room, was the cruiser-sized landing pad for large hospital ships to land. On it, was the HMS Titana, with her crew that still answered to Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch and Var-Sulis Var-Sulis over the empire itself. Daro moved across the room to open the blinds when he got past the bed and saw something blue in the corner of his eye.

On reflex, his sidearm came out of his janitor pocket and snapped up at the woman hiding behind the bed. His military eyes absorbed as much information from her form as quickly as he could and he saw that she looked like a deformed Chiss with a nasty skin condition. His face went hard and his voice went menacingly low, "Alright, Lumpy. Talk fast. Who are you and why are you here?"
