Private Heat of the Moment.

"Easy guy...Man...Daro..Ok so before we get all jumpy..She's with me...Moment's before you arrived. This is the Queen of Dar'Manda...Doesn't look like it, but it is.." I explained quickly as my eyes swayed back and forth between Daro and Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun . The confusion would have been clear to anyone stepping in the room, and I knew it needed to be dissolved.

"Now that I'm getting more comfortable in my gear...(I coughed a bit amidst my sentence as I felt a strange muscle spasm in my lower back that would last but a second)....EErrhhmmm! Excuse me...Now that I am more comfortable in my gear..I have a ship to attend to. Guess it's time to say hi your Highness." I said with a glimmer in my eye. Surely once Daro realized who she was...He would elect to move a bit quicker perhaps.

Lori froze even moreso as Daro Roz’yrn Daro Roz’yrn spotted her and took aim. She didn't have any weapons on her of course; not in this get up.

Var-Sulis Var-Sulis spoke up before she could do so, and as he explained who she was, she came out from underneath the bed and stood up slowly, keeping her hands to her sides so that they'd be visible. Lori smirked as Var called her the Queen of her company, which would be a funny title for a business owner.

"I am as he says. I came in disguise so that I could get some information safely." She turned her head to Var as she asked him; "So what happened? Rex said you betrayed him. He didn't like me stopping him from killing you either..."

Daro listened to both of their explanations as he kept his blaster trained on the blue woman. His bushy eyebrows raised in elated realization as he came to the conclusion that he was talking to none other than the queen of the Elysium Imperium. His lips peeled back over his tusks into a wide grin and he lifted his blaster. He gave it a twirl and set it on the window sill as he proceeded to take his coveralls off and say, "we-ell, call me a nerf herder! Here I was, thinking you might be bagging the burn victim ward, Var-Sulis Var-Sulis . Looks like you're shootin' a little higher than that!" He winked at both of them as he finished taking off his coveralls. Under them was his old marine armour, and a holster for his blaster, which he re-sheathed immediately. He opened the blinds and gestured outside, "as for your ship, there she is, two clicks out."

Outside the window in the distance was a corvette sized warship, about the length of two roller ball fields. The hull gleamed in the sunlight and gasses occasionally vented from ports in her otherwise pristine form.

Daro moved to his little cart and threw on the rest of his gear quickly, such as his helmet, jetpack, and an all-new rifle. After that, he said, "are we ready to get this freak show on the road?" He winked at Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun again.

She turned her head to Var as she asked him; "So what happened? Rex said you betrayed him. He didn't like me stopping him from killing you either..."
"Well..To be quite frank..We had an exchanging of words. Which ended up in a confrontation. I talked about you. I'll tell you once we leave here." I said quickly gathering up the rest of my belongings while eying Daro Roz’yrn Daro Roz’yrn .

"Yes. Let's get on with it." I said as I glanced out the window at the beauty that is the Titana. As we traveled and once clear of the area I turned to Lori outside near the ship.

"You deserve better. Always have. To stroke my own ego..Which could use a bump right now, I told him i could treat you better. With respect. Your true potential has been overlooked and neglected for his personal crusade. I told him I am in love with you." I would wink at her with a familiar smile and turn to glance at the Titana. "Daddy's home. Now then..Where to?"

Lori was glad to be having her face covered in blue make-up. It hid her blushing. Daro Roz’yrn Daro Roz’yrn suggested that her and Var-Sulis Var-Sulis were sleeping together, but really the most that they've done is have a few spars. Well there was that one kiss that Var planted on her, but that was just the one time. Still, it was being made very apparent as to how quickly rumours can grow and be spread.

She didn't quite relax as the two of them prepared to leave. Var was going to be safe and Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson was going to be sure that he gets fully healed. Somehow those psychic twins were involved too. It was almost unnerving to have multiple people planning out her future or knowing more about it than she did. And that was kind of unfair too.

Lori followed them out, yet pretended as though she was just going in the same direction for some other purpose. When they were in the clear, she heard Var explain some of what caused the fight. He had told the truth. Whether it was to open Rex Valhoun Rex Valhoun 's eyes or not, she wasn't sure. It wasn't as though she was going to be handed over like some prize, was she? Lori thought herself to be more than that.

"Well, that'll do it. ...I suppose that made him feel threatened. Head to Damascus Station. You'll be safe there for now. I'll....figure out what to do next." No doubt she'd be watched more closely now. It was a good thing that Arla couldn't be hacked into. The last thing that she needed was for her bodyguard to turn on her.

They all walked to the Titana in relative peace, unmolested. Daro had a couple snipers keeping an eye on things from nearby rooftops and nothing substantial was reported. He had a couple more marines in equally weak “disguises” like the one he had donned before, but they too reported no issues.

It was all just as well, though. There were rumours that the king might want to press charges and list a bounty on Var-Sulis Var-Sulis head, but it had yet to be announced. Still, a die-hard loyalist might choose to gain points with the king at some point, so the risk was still very real. But today seemed to be another boring day in the corps. Typical. I got all dressed up and there’s no party.

Daro mostly ignored the two talking while he kept watch, but he started to listen in as they got close to the ship. He ignored the discussion of why Var had gotten in trouble with the king. A marine had no business listening to conversations like that. But the topic of what to do next came up and Daro was pleased that Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun had settled the issue of where they were going. Daro then addressed the concern as to what Lori might do next, “well, your majesty, the Grand Admiral took the liberty of having your personal fighter, the Lioness, stored in the hangar on Titana. You can come with us to Damascus, or take off and go wherever you like.”
