Powerful Attack: The main weapon of the ship, the Saw-Class Ship Based Melee weapon, is a powerful device. It's able to bypass many forms of shields and attack the armor directly with a powerful saw attack. And the shields it cannot bypass, it can still do a massive amount of sustained damage to them.
Solid Defense: The rings provide a powerful defense around the ship, however, its the molecular shields that absorb and redistribute energy attacks and the thin layer of Impervium that really gives it the strong form of defenses it has. Add into this a many anti-missile weapons, and anti-starfighter laser turrets, and you have a solid defense.
Anti-Stealth: The ships contain a powerful sensor device that is able to detect stealthed ships.
Anti-EMP and Ion: The ship uses shielded circuitry, and contains the important droid components in Faraday cages and reinforced duraplast shielding, to block ion and emp attacks from taking them out.
Melee range: The ship's main weapon requires it to be up close to another ship. It can only be used at close range.
Speed: The main weapon requires the ship to be at least faster than the ship it wants to attack. Being more maneuverable than it would also be needed to unleash the full potential of the weapon. (Unless the ship is still, or slowed down for whatever reason)
No long range anti-ship weapons: The ship does not contain turbo-lasers or other long range weapons capable of dealing with capital ships.
Weakness to Frigates and Corvettes: The lighter more maneuverable ships of the frigate and corvette range often prove difficult for the ships to deal with, due to their higher speed and maneuverability, and the lack of weapons able to deal with them, allowing the ships to get kited to death in the right circumstances.
Droids: The ship is completely droid run, there are no organics onboard. This means it is limited to the thought process of droids, and unable to deal with quickly changing situations with chaotic variables.

The ships were designed in a semi-spherical design, with powerful saw rings wrapped around them. Powerful isotope-5 reactors power the ship. The vast majority of the ship is built from reinforced durasteel, to help lower costs. However, the thin outer armor is made of impervium, giving it a high amount of damage resistance. To help mitigate the damage caused by getting so close to enemy ships, molecular shielding was added.
Because of the near suicidal mission these ships had, the entire ship was designed to be a droid capital ship, with smaller droid mechanics to help fix damage to the ship. An advanced droid brain was added, powerful defensive weaponry, and decent engines. While not the fastest cruiser in the land, it's engines are strong, able to give it a massive amount of thrust, when in attack mode, allowing it to drive its melee weapon deep into opposing ships.
To help defend it from EMP and ion attacks, every part of the ships circuitry was shielded with insulation, with Faraday cages and reinforced duraplast plating keeping out the damage. However, it was those rings that set this ship apart from all others. It was a dense phrik, with built in shield disruptors, that allowed it to bypass many forms of shields, so that the saw blade could impact the armor and hull of ships directly. That gave it a massive advantage over many other ships. However, the energy required to keep the rings moving, and the shield disruptors active, forced Allya to give up putting heavier long range weapons on the ship. Sadly, this made it highly needed to have other ships alongside it, to accomplish its tasks.
And yet, it was the Sith teen who got the last laugh. Highly advanced communications suites, and a sophisticated anti-stealth sensor system were also placed in the ships. This allowed the ship to also act as an early warning system for stealth ships in the area.
