Help Me, Obi-Wan Kenobi [Republic Dominion of Alderaan]

As he approached, the few and inconsequential remnants of the rift-given rage had finally wasted away. The surprising part was the Republic personnel with their firearms trained on him, and after all the time he'd been spending with the army, too! One hand went up and pinched at the bridge of his nose and eyes squeezed shut as he felt a wave of frustration well up in him and fade away. When he looked again, they were still wary, and he could have laughed if not for the realization that the entire galaxy was probably really fethed up right now, and no-one was laughing.

"Hey guys, you mind pointing those things at someone who deserves to be shot?" He came to a stop, glanced from one soldier to another. They didn't stand down. "It's the... it's the eyes, isn't it?"

And they were still non-plussed. He muttered, sotto voce: "I swear, I'm going to have to educate the entire RDF." And he turned to the side a little, just so - tail flying free. "You maggots see this? It's a tail. Not a sithspawn guys, not a Sith, just your average polymorphic feline who happens to be a Jedi."

It was then that the he spotted the Chief of Senate. Hands posed on hips, and he let out a heavy sigh, raising his voice a titch to get the woman's attention.

"Chief Lasedri, somehow I'm half a galaxy away from where I was, I've already been through literal hell today..." he glanced at the soldiers, "...you mind?"

“Uri is one of my Padawans. We never really got a chance to train properly. Once minute I’d found him and the next all of the conflict started. You know how it was. But I recognise his presence. You know how the Master-Padawan bond works.”

“But if he’s here and the streets are as deserted as they are, then? There has to be a positive explanation. Feel the Force. The taint of the Vong is nowhere near as strong as it should be. We need to find someone and quick. If the Republic are here we can help them.”

Corvus picked the pace up, "He's close, I know he is."

I surveyed the city from inside my delta class jedi fighter. It had always been my favorite kind of ship. It had beautiful maneuverability, and control. Even in a war situation, it was kinda nice to just fly. It took your mind off all the crazy things happening. The chaos of people disappearing, and now the stress of an invasion of alderaan. "Maybe the people who left were taken to a better place and we were left to rot in this world." This was the stuff going through my mind. I know really upbeat thoughts. Sighed, There was nothing even close to me. "No wait! what's that down below."

It looked like Master [member="Corvus Raaf"], and another jedi, and not far ahead of them was a golden boy, who could be non other than [member="Uri Aureleos"]

I passed over head, but prepared to circle back around, and land.

[member="Kana Truden"]

Ah. A student.

Yes, one of the last students Kana had was [member="Seraphina Shel'tah"] and that felt like ages ago. Really, it was up to anyone to say how much time it had been since then, but to Kana it felt like a few years at least. Still, maybe time is just construct of human perception? Who was to know?

“Well, let’s not waste any time then! We need to fix this and get the people back somehow!”

Together with Corvus Kana rushed to find the wayward padawan, if the title still held.

“Do you remember how we got here?” Kana called out. “Because it’s all a damn blur to me. I remember warmth, anger and fear then… I was here.”

Uri nodded to Kiyron then went toward the direction he felt his master was in. He made sure to duck and dodge into doorways trying to avoid wide areas. The city was so deserted it worried him he wasn't use to such emptiness. He turned another corner feeling his masters presence even stronger. That is when he saw her just ahead.

"Master Corvus!" He shouted subconsciously then ran for her and the other jedi with her. She looked familiar but her name escaped him. Never the less he place each of his hands on their shoulders as he caught his breath, "I feared you would be lost for good."

Corvus was so pleased to see Uri but after her customary bow, she grimaced. "I have much to say but I'm afraid it will have to wait. You need to tell me what's going on here. Are we Invading? If so, what are our objectives. We've been.." She looked at Kana and gave a half-smile. "To hell and back. Quite literally. So please tell us everything you know and if you've got a communicator on you we can let everyone know we're here."

She gave Uri a hug anyway. "Uri, this is Master Kana Truden. Uri is my young..youngish...Padawan." She smiled but her eyes looked weary. "I don't supposed you brought any ryshcate with you? No forget that, just the facts for now."

Kian's eyes opened the the brightness of the sky ahead of him caused him to jerk his head and close them once more. Rising to his feet, Kian felt something he hadn't felt in a very, very long time. Kian felt rage....he felt rage building in his chest and a visceral scream escaped his lips. There was a part of him, deep in his mind that was terrified by what was happening, but it seemed as if he couldn't control his own body. He felt himself begin to run, like a mad man, he felt the emotions building, but he could do nothing to stop it from happening.

Then he saw them, a small group of Vong soldiers, and they saw him as well. There was no technique, no caution, Kian just threw himself at them, his lightsaber igniting and the yellow blade hacking and slashing at them, cutting into their flesh and their armor. There was no skill, no fighting prowess, just abandoned rage and savagery. The Kian that wasn't mad with rage, the little voice deep in his mind wept at what was happening but was powerless to stop it all.

When Kian finally regained control of himself he was kneeling in the dirt. The bodies of the Vong lay around the ground around him, hacked to pieces. Kian looked on them with horror. He had killed many Vong in his time with the Jedi....but it had never been like that. It had never been personnel....it had been his duty. This was different. This had been murder.

Slowly rising to his feet, Kian picked his lightsaber up from the ground and began walking. He could feel the force again but it was different. Where was he? Looking around, Kian knew the place but couldn't place it right away.

Alderaan? How on earth had he come to Alderaan? Kian continued walking, hoping to find those he knew, anyone who could tell him what in the hell was going on.

Images slowly resurfacing. The people wandering, the anger and frustration. The pools of blood and the rain. How each drop burned upon contact. Did this child not know of the horrors that lurked beyond?

“Your master is not lying. A few hours ago we were on Ossus trying to think of ways to make the time pass and then the other we were faceplanted in some kind of… Blood Marsh somewhere.”

“But we weren’t alone, there were at least millions of others there just walking around. Aimlessly and… I don’t know. It felt like a dark place. We escaped it through this... Puddle thing. Woke up here and felt… I don’t even know, angry as all living hell.”

“What’s going on around here? Are the Republic taking back Alderaan? Will they fix this?”

While getting ready to turn around to land near Corvus, i noticed something off in the far distance. It seemed to be a skirmish. I could faintly make out a lightsaber. "Another Jedi!" I glanced back to where Corvus, and Uri was. They were safe, and this jedi was in combat, so I made my choice. I sped off ahead towards the jedi in combat. If I could help I would.

By the time I got there, the battle was over. A group of Yu Zan Vong Lay dead on the ground, after what seemed to be a brutal battle. What had happened. I slowly put the ship down a few meters behind the jedi that was kneeling on the ground. There was a slight jolt as the landing gear absorbed the weight of the ship, and a hiss of escaping air as my cockpit opened. I stepped out slowly onto alderaan's ground.

"Hello? are you alright? My Name is Ardeo Sophos. I'm a jedi, just like you."

[member="Kian Karr"]

Kian watched as the plan touched down and a young Jedi leapt from the ship. Kian didn't recognize them, but that didn't mean anything. He'd been away from the academies on duties when he vanished....and who knew how long he was in that hell like place.

"What is going on?" Kian asked the Jedi before him. "I am Jedi Master Kian Karr. I don't know where I was....but it was so dark....so horrible." Kian said shaking his head for a moment and then glancing back toward the dead Vong. "But it was worse what happened after."

"How did I get on Alderaan?" Kian asked, almost to himself more then to Ardeo. Then Kian felt it, the familiar touch of those he knew. There were other Jedi here as well......[member="Kana Truden"]....[member="Corvus Raaf"]....and others.

"Come on." Kian said turning and walking toward them. "I don't want to stick around too long."

She would watch the upper part of the Vong hound pass [member="Jorus Merrill"] potentially and impact harmlessly against the wall - with an unsatisfied sigh, she'd turn and gesture for Jorus to come closer as she holstered her weapon with her other hand. "Let's get you a lift off this rock, let me get a quick sitrep."

She keyed her comlink, changing the frequency over to that of Chief Lasedri. "Chief, I have additional people who have uhm made their presence know - I'm going to evac them back to the medical frigates and then get off this rock - it appears that Aldera City South is clear. How is it going down there with the Rebel leaders? Does the government appear to be happy to see us again?"

It was a dumb question, but one that would need to be asked - feeling abandoned after six years might do some harm to diplomatic solutions.

Aedan Miles gasped as he was thrown from the chasm with a clatter of beskar'gam his violet eyes snapping open with a violet twinge the first thing he saw what appeared to be a vong. Snarling Aedan leapt at it lightsaber forgotten as he reached out with the force yanking it towards him and tackling it. Using the force he threw it to the ground and pinned it there spinning to plant his foot in the side of its head suddenly. Violet eyes still slightly red as he started to kick at the vong he had trapped every kicked enhanced by force speed and force body as he targeted the head of the vong. After about 20 kicks his eyes cleared and he stumbled backward panting as he dropped to the ground finally noticing what was around him sighing he pushed himself upright using the force to toss his lightsabers towards the feet of one of the jedi as he calmly brought his hands up to his head pulling his helmet off and dropping it on the ground. Placing his hands behind his head the young man suddenly rattled off what sounded like a military ID number. "My name is Aedan Miles pilot in Wraith Squadron sorry about what you just saw. My id number is 228053 now if you don't mind soldiers point those guns somewhere else and can someone explain to me what just happened?"

The Jedi padawan with her tech skills worked well in rebuilding or helping to rebuild various defense systems, mostly planetary shield generators and defense turrets. As she went about fixing another turret this one mean t to give anti air support she grumbled something about wishing she had more tools. In the end the droid an astromech one with her helped hold lights or hand tools. "Thanks R5" She said as it moved it's light to help her see better. It gave bleeps and bloops and whistles to show appreciation.

"Wait were you one of the people who disappeared? How did you make it back? You know what never mind. We should just get somewhere safe. Not too far back that way, I saw Jedi Master Corvus Raaf, and some other jedi. Maybe we should head there." Watching Master Karr I realiized he was pretty shaken, and didn't look to well. "Do you need some help? I have a basic med kit, with med stims, and other supplies? We really shouldn't move unless you are ready too. I'de offer to try to heal, but my skill is very basic, and honestly the force has been acting very strangely as of late."

I unhooked my new training saber that was issued to replace the one I lost to Vi'kas Mirtas. I still longed to have a chance to make my own o Illum. Without a master My training was going well... slowly at best. I surveyed the area looking for danger.

Uri listened closely to what she was saying making no plan to interrupt her since she really did look like she had been to hell and back. He kept his hand on her shoulder just in case she were to loose balance. Her hug surprised him but he accepted her embrace with one of his own. He then nodded to master Truden.

"Master, you wont believe how many have vanished. So many are still missing. The galaxy has gone mad. We're here now to reclaim Alderaan while we have somewhat of an upper hand. Several diplomats are here to establish an alliance and the Republic forces are here to set up a defense. I can lead you back to where they are." Uri took the communicator out of his pocket and handed it to Corvus, "I think they would rather hear your voice than mine. It might just give them hope."

It appeared as if the fighter threat had quickly been staved off, and the GR-75s were clear to land and begin unloading the planetary defense guns they had been carrying--in pieces, of course. Still, it was best to get the Republic's political leader inside the library, just in case the enemy had anything specifically in store for her before they were eradicated.

"Graxin, are the Dreadguard trained to just...disappear?" Supposedly, they were the most super of supersoldiers. Could this be some full-weapons run of theirs, mowing down Sith remnants to practice for the real, desperate invasions?

The approaching Jedi was able to call out to Lasedri just before the door was closed behind her, however. Taking another glance at the man, he seemed to have regained some of that 'Jedi composure' and did not seem so much of a potential threat to her safety, nor the safety of the Red Flag Division. He knew her name, at least. Though that could be just as much of a bad sign as a good sign.

"Master Jedi," she greeted, holding up a hand to signal the troops to restrain themselves. If he tried anything fast, he might be surprised to find she was not exactly... incapable with certain powers either. Plus, she had Graxin. It was indeed much easier to trust someone when you have your own surprises. Hopefully, no one would need any, though.

"We're all still trying to figure it out." Kian said to Aedan Miles then turned toward Ardeo. The fresh air and the present of the forces touch was calming Kian and he was already starting to feel better. He smiled warmly to Ardeo as he spoke. "No, I'm alright thank you." Kian said clipping his lightsaber back to his belt. "I need to find my apprentices, make sure they are alright."

Kian said and began to walk toward where Ardeo said Corvus and Kana had been. "You say others vanished as well? How many?"

Kiyron

Guest
Kiyron stood inside the library, gathering reports. The planet seemed to be, for the most part, secure. Some scattered resistance, but nothing the follow-up troops and local militias couldn't handle now. Excellent. Reports were coming in the total loss of missing persons as well. It was huge. Staggeringly huge. No way it could be a One Sith strike, especially as reports were indicating One Sith planets had been hit hard as well.

Coruscant must have been devastated. Speeders falling from the sky. He was surprised they could afford forces to even handle that, let alone launch campaigns Who knew how brutal they had to be to get that calmed down. But no matter. That was out of his influence and there was nothing he could do about it presently.

Another aide hurried over to him with yet another communique. He scanned it. Cato Neimodia this time. He'd have to sleep on the ship.

"Get me a transport."

The Blood Wastes deposited him onto some thick grass with an unceremonious thump. Almost immediately, it felt like Makai landed on top of him. A small groan and Judah opened his eyes. Blaster shots rang out from a nearby village and Vong could be seen destroying what was once there. Someone was firing at the Vong and it looked like a pretty heated battled.

Judah felt such rage at the event. Frown graced his features, it wasn't like him. Sure, he didn't like the Vong but these were some strong emotions. Makai whimpered on the ground, picking his broken "ego man" out of the grass. He stood there in pajamas and bare feet, shivering.

He picked up the boy, carefully going through the tall grass, hoping not to be seen. Every time he heard a blaster shot, his rage grew. It was odd. Taking semi-shelter behind one of the untouched village homes, Judah crouched along, trying to take a scared and heavy five year old along with him.

That was when a Vong solider decided to attack. Unarmed, Judah had to grapple with the Vong barehanded. This wasn't a good situation. Makai was sitting wide-eyed, staring at the pair. Judah had to do something. The Vong knocked him to the ground, the two continuing to throw punches. Although it was a bit hard since the Vong was wearing armor. Judah found a rock and reached out, bashing in the Vong's temple. Before the creature could react, Judah did it again...and again...rage filled until the Vong's temple was caved in. A small twitch from the creature and it was no more.

Judah collapsed on the ground, rage slowly leaving him. He was staring up at the bright clear-blue sky, panting. He sincerely hoped [member="Thessa Kai"] wasn't going through any of this. It sounded like the battle was still raging on.....Makai.

Scrambling up, he still found the boy huddled against the side of the home. Judah gave him a bloody hug, happy to see the boy was still alright. Panting continued, he was going to have to work out more. Then again, how often did he kill other people with rocks?

"Daddy? You hurt him."

"I had to buddy, otherwise he would have killed us. I think we want to go home, right?" A small nod from Makai. "Then....I had to do it. I'm sorry. I may have to do it again...we've got to find a spaceport or vessel..."

"And find Momma?"

"And find your Ma."

Sorry Republic, borrowing your Dominion as a drop in point. Hope you don't mind!

" We aren't entirely sure, but by estimates.... thousands, maybe millions. Currently we are taking advantage of these disappearances to reclaim Alderaan from sith control. At least through the chaos we are being productive." I continued to walk alongside Master Kian. He regained his strength quite quickly. It was amazing that jedi masters could go through so much horror and recover that quickly. I guess that's why they are masters. "It will probably take about 30 minutes to reach Corvus and the others, maybe less since they were heading this way, so maybe cut that in half. We should be on guard though , Sith or Vong could be around here." I took both my light sabers of my belt and kept them at the ready. This may end up being a long day, but I might get some good training out of it, and start to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding the disappearances.
