Help me to understand it all

Luke's apartment, Coruscant

I couldn't save her.

Luke sat in the middle of the floor, cross-legged. He'd learned a while back from a couple of people that he could put himself at peace by meditating. He still didn't know how it worked, but this 'force' thing seemed to have more to it than he initially thought. However, lately all he saw were images of the house. Right before he went back in to save his parents. Why couldn't he save Emily? She was right there... then he turned around and she was gone. Kidnapped in the night. That and the fire. It had to be connected somehow. If only he could understand... Sighing, he opened his eyes and got up. Time to eat.

Munch.

The noise came from the kitchen. Krest was sitting on one of the counters, eating an apple idly. An open window was clearly his way in, but what was he doing here? There was a presence that wasn't consumed by the Sith. One he could let slip into the darkness.

How would he stop that? Cue the break in. He'd be dressed in his usual outfit, his clawed gauntlet wrapped around his hand. His sword would be off his waist, resting beside him on the floor. It was leaning close, so it was clear he could get the blade if he needed.

"Yo."

Not even missing a beat, Luke walked right into the kitchen and got a drink before addressing the man. Things had begun to stop surprising him now. "And what brought you here today? I could always call the cops on you for breaking and entering." He eyes the clearly unharmed window. "Okay, just entering then." Leaning against the fridge, he watched the other inquisitively.

"Not with the Sith controlling this planet. I could pass for a Sith if I needed to, I doubt you could do so yourself." With that he would take another bite of the apple, winking to the kid. His eyes would trail around the room next, curiosity filled throughout his actions.

"So how did you hide yourself from the Sith here? You'd think they'd of dragged you into their fold by now eh?"

Shaking his head, Luke took a sip of his water. "I've heard of these Sith and Jedi, but I've never seen any. Plenty of inbetweeners, but never here. I try to stay out of those affairs. Besides, I'm nothing special." Raising an eyebrow, he set the glass on the counter. "So who are you, and what are you doing here?"

There was a blank look on the Zabraks face as he watched the boy. He would then proceed to point out the window with his clawed hand, his face still blank. "The Sith control this world. They built a valley of the Dark Lords where the Jedi temple was. They run rampant across this planet. I have bo idea how you got around them."

He let out a sigh however, offering a shrug. "I'm Krest. I felt ya, and decided to investigate."

"Interesting", was all Luke could say. At this point, nothing really surprised him anymore. The man sitting in front of him could be a rancor in disguise and he wouldn't flinch. "So I take it you're not a Sith? You're not a Jedi either, i'm guessing. They tend to carry themselves a bit differently from what i'm told." Tossing him another apple from the counter, he took one for himself.

"Something like that, yeah." He'd catch the apple, taking a large bite. He kept rather calm, yawning slightly to himself. Not much for him to do at this point, unless..

"You ever want to leave this place kid?"

Luke took a bite of his apple and set it aside. "I have the means to leave, I just don't know where to go." It was true. He had recently acquired a ship, but it hadn't left the dock since he'd bought it. Looking at the man inquisitively, he sat up a little. "What do you have in mind?"

"Eh? You got a ship?" Krest blinked. In truth, he didn't have one. He could never figure out how to fly. So, he was a bit happy to hear the kid had one. "Ever heard of Crystalsong? Beautiful place. There are others like you there. Neither Jedi or Sith, at least."

"That sounds... interesting. You sound actually like you don't have one. How'd you get back from Crystalsing, or whatever it's called, then? Got a chauffeur?" He allowed himself to smile at that-something he rarely did nowadays. If he could find more like him, maybe he could find his sister...

"Hitchhiking mostly. Occasionally I got a friend who helps me out." With that he stretched out, finishing off his apple. With a light toss, the core would end up going out the window he had come through.

"Are you ready for adventure then?"

Watching the core sail out the window, Luke hopped off the counter fully and walked toward the kitchen's exit. "Sure. Let me get my stuff." He disappeared into the bedroom for a second, and came back out with a blue robe that seemed to be getting too small for him. He'd been wearing it for a while, after all. He'd made it shortly after losing his sister, and he'd gotten kind of a connection to it. "Alright, let's go."

The Zabrak blinked slowly at the size of the robe. He wasn't gonna say anything just yet about it, but he certainly was going to. But first.

"That all ya gonna bring? And a better question. Why are you gonna follow me, more or less a stranger?"

"Most of my stuff is over in my ship. I just hang out here every now and then. But let's get this straight. I'm not following you. You're taking a ride with me." Walking toward the door, he opened it and stopped in the doorway. "And it's not that I trust you. I don't trust anyone these days. But I do know how to tell when someone means what they say, and when they're lying. You don't seem to mean any harm, so i'm giving you the benefit of the doubt."

[member="Luke Beleren"]

"Benefit of the doubt huh?" Krest chuckled, shaking his head slowly. He wasn't gonna argue over it, but it didn't seem like the smartest idea to him. But hey, a free ride back home. Slipping his hands behind his head he'd nod once to Luke.

"Lead on then."

Nodding, Luke led the man through the streets of Coruscant, hood and long hair covering his face. He seemed to know what he was doing, hiding in plain sight. Eventually, they came to a hangar, where a small freighter sat idly. Finally pulling his hood back down, he walked up to the ship. "Home sweet home."

The Zabrak didn't blend as well as his counterpart. Thankfully, or not depending on how you look at it, he wasn't bothered in the slightest. Probably some sort of stereotype about red skinned Zabrak being Sith. Once in the hangar he let out a whistle, admiring the ship.

"Lil' beautie eh? How'd you get her?"

"Pooled in with a couple friends. We wanted to explore this planet, but never got the chance. They're gone, now I got this. Come inside." Stepping inside, he walked around to the cockpit, getting comfortable. "What are the coordinates? I'll punch them in, then show you around on the way there."

[member="Krest"]

[member="Luke Beleren"]

"Coordinates huh. Alright." Krest moved over to the galaxy map silently, a frown on his face. He really didn't know ships. Scanning through the planets, he'd search for the planet. After a while, he'd point out the planet, nodding once. "There it is."
