Help me to understand it all

With a few taps on the map, the ship roared to life, lifting out of the hangar. Nodding to himself, he looked over at the zabrak. "I'd strap in if I were you. The jump to hyperspace is pretty bumpy. No matter whose whip you're on."

The Zabrak only grinned at that point. He knew little to nothing about ships, but this was far from his first time in one. He'd remain standing as he always did when he was hiding away on a cargo ship. "I'll be fine, trust me."

Krest, upon the entering to hyperspace, stumbled back. He caught himself, but rather then make a comment on the embarrassing fall, he went to distract with another subject entirely. Looking to the boy, his blue eyes would begin to study him, assessing what the Zabrak could about the little force user. And oddly enough. he could find nothing.

"Tell me, what do you know of the Force?"

Turning around in his chair, Luke got up and walked around a little. "I know about it. That's it really. I found some people who taught me to use it to calm me down. Other than that, i'm clueless."

"Well, that's a good step in the right direction. Hmm.." Krest fell silent as he looked about, pondering. If the boy could use the Force to calm himself, he could potentially do.. Anything at this point. But what would be the best place to start.. And then he saw it. Looking over to a loose stool, he would clap his hands together.

"I want you to lift that."

Instead of trying anything, Luke looked at the man like he'd just told him to jump off a cliff. "You're... not serious. Right?" He stared at the chair like it was now something extremely odd. "You know, a normal person would sit on a stool, not try and lift it with their minds. Didn't I just tell you I know little to nothing about the force? What makes you think I could lift a screw?"

"Simple. I want you to sit and meditate. Do not think of normal limits, as the Force brushes those off. So.. Sit, meditate. I'll guide you yeah?" Krest sat himself, waving a hand. There was much to do now at least. And it was gonna be a long car ride.

"Oookay..." Sitting down next to the zabrak, he closed his eyes and focused on the force, feeling it swirling around him like a maelstrom. He never got per how punt he felt on the grand scale of things whenever he meditated. Taking deep breaths, he began to reach outward, slowly, steadily.

Krest nodded slow, smilng faintly. "Good. Feel the stool, focus on it. I want all of your focus on that chair. And when it is, I want you to imagine it going up. Will it to go into the air."

Reaching even farther, he eventually felt the mold of the chair. Like a flood, he threw his mind a it, and in seconds it flew straight up, crashing against the ceiling, startling him. Peeking a little, he grimaced at the remains before looking over at Krest. "Too much?"

Krest grinned wide, watching the chair fly up. He was ecstatic. So the boy was much more capable then he seemed. Turning his gaze back to Luke, he'd shake his head. "Not too much, no. Just shows how much power you got in ya. It's impressive."

"Tea will do, actually." The Zabrak stood himself, rolling his shoulders. Silently he would move after Luke, resting both of his hands behind his head. "So,what do ya think of the force now?"

Luke searched through his cabinets until he found a small box of tea bags. He wrinkled his nose at it, but made up two cups anyway, honestly wishing he had loose tea. Handing one to the zabrak, he sat on his bed, sipping his own cup. "It's... interesting, to say the least."

Red hands took the cup carefully, him sipping his drink. A faint smile played over his lips at that point, and he nodded. "The Force can do great and terrible things. Anyone who uses it can do one or the other. Lightning, fire, ice, the ability to move faster, healing, draining life. The uses are endless."

"That's why I don't want to learn it as much as i'm sure a lot of others do." Luke stared at the man. "All this talk of lighting, draining life. I don't want to hurt people. And if I have to, I don't want it to be from some hocus-pocus magical force."

"Well, that's your choice. But keep in mind learning is what helps you know what not to do. If you don't know that extreme anger can cause some major damage. Learning isn't to make you powerful, but to help you control."

Luke looked at the man for a few seconds, eventually nodding slowly. "Okay. Thanks. I'll keep that in mind." Sipping his tea, he got back up, settin the cup down. "How long until we get there?"
