Odium had given a whole cargo shipment of Stygium to [member="Jared Ovmar"] for one favor the name and comlink number of the best Alchemist he knew. Jared had sent him the information of a doctor, or so his file said.

The old GR-75 medium transport hung over Coruscant as Odium sent a message to the man via a secure link. He was going to make a little chaos and test the Man's skill by asking him to make a Sithspawn. The result would help Odium plan for future endeavors. His black eyes stared at the screen as he typed out the message.

"Good Doctor,

I was recently in contact with a Jared Ovmar who owed me a small favore. I have need of the services of an alchemist and he assured me you could help. I have two projects for you to consider. Where can we meet and I can explain."

Odium sent the message and went to check his samples of things to use for the spawn. He hoped he would have all that was needed.

It came that one day Valik received a message asking for the assistance of an Alchemist, from an unnamed contact of Jared Ovmar's. Valik was not one to answer unnamed requests, but the contact intrigued him, and he couldn't say he didn't enjoy the prospect of alchemizing . . . anything really. Thus he went to work, on his own terminal tracking the message to it's origin. It didn't take long to crack this firewall or that. Initial assumptions based on the firewall strength was that it was low-military grade, which meant either a decently wealthy individual or a decently connected military individual, say a Jedi Knight or a Sith. Upon cracking the codes he determined the origin was Coruscant, likely meaning a One Sith. A jedi in hiding perhaps, but more likely a One Sith. He had serviceable connections with the Jedi, and a contact or two in the One Sith, but bolstering his connections with them could have advantages. As long as he didn't have to get sworn in tattooed that is. Still wary of a trap he relayed his message.

"Presumable One Sith member,

I have business in Atrisian Imperial Library in three days time. Should you be able to meet me there I'd love to discuss possible future endeavors. Wear a lightsaber when you come and I'll identify you through that."

Atrisia was a Fringe world, and a heavily monitored one due to the paranoia of it's former Emperor. If this One Sith, or whomever it was on the other end, was trying to spring a trap they'd find themselves risking a galactic incident, not to mention the brunt of the Atrisian's old Forces. It was a safe a play as he could manage.

Odium watched the monitor as a person cracked his firewall. It was not unexpected but it would be something for him to look into later. Odium read the message that followed and thought it was an odd choice of worlds but his tangled mind feared little, so he prepared to leave.

He started the Navcomp and found the coordinates of the Fringe world. It was not long before he had the coordinates entered and started the calculations for a hyper jump as the Gand Findsman he employed and learned a b8t from noved the ship out of the gravitywell. Odium typed out one more message, with his typical lack of understanding of social norms.

"Doctor,

I will do as you say. Jumping now.

Odium"

With that he activated the hyperdrive and they began the trip.

SOME TIME LATER....

The GR-75 dropped out of hyperapace and followed proper landing procedure, mostly thanks to the Gand, and landed at the designated landing area. Odium walked to the boarding ramp not bothering to check the prisoners this time and made his way toward the Library with his saber staff on his belt. His necklace rested against his black jumpsuit this time and he wore his Nautolan skin cloak with cowl down as he entered the building and began acting like he was here to read.

Valik had been waiting for some time when the cloaked Naotolan entered. Beyond merely seeing the amphibian's lightsaber he could tell the man was who he was looking for. The way he walked, the weight he carried. That was a man who'd been places and done things many would say the galaxy was better off not knowing. Heading over to the Sith he tapped the man's shoulder as he wandered about, looking as if he were an average library-goer.

"Interested in construction are we?" He said quietly as he looked around at what section the Nautolan was entering. "Well, I'm sure I could help you with some of that. What are you planning on getting done?"

Odium didn't feel the man specifically until he was tapped. His head tresses snaked on his shoulders to test the man's scent as he turned to face him. Odium blinked his heavy lids with a wet slap and place the vocoder he had onto his data pad and began typing.

"I wish to make a creature as an experiment. " The primative vocoder responded, "something to help spread fear and dread."

Odium could have used telepathy but he had grown careful of who he let into his thoughts now that plans were taking shape.

"And soon to make a Heart." Came the droid voice.

He knew a Master alchemist would know what he meant or he hoped atleast. His black eyes had flecks of floating red for a moment as he looked for the Man's reaction. Odium had the crystal, he was gathering souls but if the alchemist couldn't create the spawn how could Odium know he could make the heart, the Heart of Odium.

"I have many things to use and can find what you need for more." The droid vocoder buzzed in low tones. "I will show you my idea of it and you tell me what you can do."

A vocodor. Mute Naotolan. Interesting that a Sith would be so handi-capped yet given free reign over his actions. Meaning he was either too little for the One Sith to worry about, or too much for them to control. He suspected he'd discover that soon. First the Naotolan spoke of creating a creature, one to elicit fear and dread. Not particularly specific, but ambitious he supposed, though he had created such a thing in Nyarl. But then came the words he didn't expect.

To make a heart. Valik thought, before letting out a rare moment of surprise. "Do you mean, the Heart?" He asked inquisitively, but the Naotolan's observance of his reaction gave him all he needed to know. "I assume this isn't a bluff?" He asked, still curious. The Heart of Graush was not something easily acquired, or made. Valik could count on one two fingers the alchemists besides himself capable of such a feat. The Naotolan than said he had the resources, and could gather more if needed. He was completely serious. Valik put up a wry grin. This was a relationship he needed to keep.

"If you can get the materials to make a Heart I'll make whatever beast you want."

Odium had judged correctly. Isolda would be most pleased. He reached into his bag and produced a round object wrapped in black cloth. He put away the data pad no longer concerned of what the man knew. If he would work on the Heart then he would not be concerned with what else Odium could concoct as a plan. His large hands carefully move the cloth aside to reveal the crimson crystal that he was still filling with spirits. The way the gem shone in the light would have been enough to tell someone it was different and a touch would tell of the essences it contained.

<<It is not yet ready, but it will be soon.>> Odium now said telepathically, <<I am in search of the holocron of Graush now, I believe I know where to find it.>>

Odium wrapped the crystal and returned it to it's place in his satchel and returned his look to the man. The creature he would have made was to be released in One Sith space and then hunted to prove the care and benevolence of the Dark Lord's rule. The people would be to blinded by fear to ask where it had come from and if they did it would be blamed on the meddling Jedi. All had things had a purpose, even the thing that was Odium.

<<The creature do you wish to discuss it here?>> Odium said, <<I have details to solidify.>>

Valik

In response the Naotolan unveiled a crystal, hidden beneath a cloth located in his stachel. It glowed with a certain energy. Valik held out a hand, touching the crystal and using Psychometry to view it's past. He saw the Naotolan wander the halls of the temple on Tantorus, aided by the old Sword he once poisoned. He saw Odium gather spirits from the desolation of Druckenwell, aided by his creation no less. He saw Odium walk over the ruins of Coruscant, joined by his master, the tainted sword, and a twi'lek that seemed oddly familiar.

Overall, he saw that the Naotolan was dead serious, and had put more than a fair bit of work into the creation of a new Heart.

Telepathic words rang through his mind as Odium wrapped and returned the crystal to it's. An uncomfortable feeling, foreign words echoing in his mind, but it was not the first time he'd learned such a thing. Tirdarius, his first master, was fond of such a method of speaking. He made a note to build up his mental defense, for he suspected he'd be dealing with this One SIth for quite a while. His last statement though . . . Discuss it here. On one hand, he knew quite a bit about 'Odium' now and discussing Sith Spawn in the middle of a library was unwise. On the other, just because he knew a bit of the man's past and his objective didn't mean he was to be trusted.

"We can discuss it on the way to my ship. I have some basic resources there and we can pick up others as we need them. Acceptable?"

Odium blinked and snaked a head tress in the man's direction. He smelled wary but the thing that was Odium could sense no direct malice. The Alchemist was wise to be wary, the galaxy was full of things that would make Odium seem childlike, but Odium was focused on his goal and this man's power was unknown. He did not trust the man fully nor would any Sith trust another fully he guessed, but if Odium failed another would complete the work and the vision woukd still be realized, it was inevitable.

<<Acceptable.>> Odium replied as he inclined his head in a bow to the man.

This man was an alchcemist and to be able to create the Heart he would have to be a Lord of great power and therefore Odium's superior. The Darth title changed nothing Odium would have to change greatly to stop thinking of himself as anything but a slave and his Mistress had been pleased thus far with his results.

<<I will find all you need.>> Odium assured the man, <<and shall follow you to your ship.>>

Valik noted the no-nonsense attitude of the naotolan. He didn't ask what Valik needed, he didn't give him a time frame, he simply said "I will" when speaking of resources. Valik respected that and it made dealing with him much easier. No politicking or dancing around words, just yes or no.

"Excellent. What exactly do you need your creature to be able to do?" He replied, keeping in tone with the One Sith. He could have offered suggestions on capabilities to administer, or subjects to obtain, but Odium had sought him out with a specific objective in mind. He could add frills and special effects later, but now he needed to figure out the basis of what Odium needed.

Odium walked along for a moment. He wanted the creature to be hard to kill by most means and to be able track Sithspawn and Sith Artifacts. Oddly such a thing would have many uses for Odium and his associates.

<<If possible, I would like it to be very hard to kill. Perhapd only through a loss of its full head.>> Odium responded, <<and able to track Sithspawn and Artifacts. Obviously if it had a less than pleasing appearance that would aid in spreading fear when it hunts>>

Odium continued his thinking as he walked wondering how far he would be willing to go for this and future goals to be accomplished. He decided quite far. He continued to move with the man and continue about the creature.

<<I have innocent blood on my ship for your work.>> he said <<it will need to be trainable, intelligent, have its own will but still not be able to turn on us, myself and you specifically. No others need be protected in this way. If you have other ideas I am willing to differ to your experience.>>

He was normally not so communicative but this project was a side from his ultimate goal. He put his hand in his satchel again and felt for his crystal and touched it almost as a comforter. The spirits it already contained were very many and soon the man beside him could complete the process and make it a heart. Then and only then would Odium be free to seek out a new goal a new purpose. With the heart in his chest he would be better able to serve the darkside and help extinguish the light.

<<Perhaps Sith Poison in its blood?>>

"Getting a ruggedness of that sort of level would be difficult without Gen'Dai engineering." Valik replied, coding his words but leaving the important bits. "I have an idea on how to get a tracker, if I can't get one I can make one easy, but it's not gonna look pretty." He continued, maintaining the conversation with the mute while dancing just far enough away that any listeners wouldn't know their true intentions.

"The resources you've provided will be most helpful. Making it smart isn't too big of a deal either. As for the IFF, I have a few ideas on how to maintain it's selective nature and still make it hard to externally modify. I could hook in a sort of biometric scanner, let it track blood, but I'll need samples from the folk you want as friendlies." Valik continued as they headed towards the ship, nearly there. "Ehhh. The chemical angle is a bit iffry. If something gets modified it could screw with the IFF, but it does leave a nasty surprise for anyone trying to dismember the droid. A dangerous gambit, but if you want it it can be done." Valik said as they entered the ship, an area they could speak privately, as well as head out to gather any necessary materials for future ventures.

<<Understood.>> Odium said looking at the ground as he walked. In his mind he began covering the basics of his overall intent and decided that it would be more beneficial to allow the poison to be added. The creature after all would still be weak against those that knew it's weaknesses. <<The appearance is perhaps best not being pleasant anyway. If the poison can be done it should be, when the time comes...it may be beneficial. if it turns on me is irrelevant in the end.>>

Odium looked up as he paused his untangling of plans to see the ship in front of them. He was not usually easy in the company of others even his own master was only slightly easier, however this man was easier than most. Perhaps it was his intelligence or just that he now knew a portion of Odium's schemes, but in either case, Odium would need to be wary that is plans did not cross those of the man, lest there be discord.

Odium turned and faced the man as the boarding ramp withdrew and they were free to speak...well after a fashion. His thick Nautolan skin cloak was pushed back and he waited for a moment as he inadvertently fell into the part of a slave and lesser, before catching himself. He placed a hand on the hilt of the Sword of Ieldis and tapped his fingers on the pommel while he thought for a moment about what to arm the creature with when the time came.

<<Step one.>> odium spoke to the man again, <<What must I do?>>

Valik nodded at the Sith's reasoning of poison. It wasn't something that was being slapped on for the hell of it, so he didn't have any issues doing it. Re-balancing the creature's organ systems to be fueled by Sith Poison would be difficult, but not impossible. As for appearance, well, making a Sithspawn grotesque wasn't exactly a very difficult task. The naotolan, always slow to speak and quick to think, discarded his skin cloak as the came into the ship, before tapping his sith sword and speaking once again, asking for direction.

"We'll need a Gen'dai to instill the hardiness you require. As well as a base species, something to alter into the creature you seek. Appearance is something easily changed, but as for the other qualities . . . the Force Sight of the Miraluka could aid in seeking out Sithspawn and Artifacts. The eyeless appearance also has a bit of intimidation to it, if you can get them to stop blindfolding themselves. A miraluka as well. Aaand . . . a Rhak-Suri. They're a Sithspawn rumored to have existed on a volcanic world called Upekzar. They're a beast that have pheromone emissions like the Zeltrons, but instead induce hallucinatory fears. Only in mammals though due to the biology, but that should go a long way to making your beast all the more horrifying."

Odium put his hand to his chin and began slowly pacing back and forth. A gen'dai would not be as easy as a miraluka. He may be able to simple by a Miraluka slave from one of the Hutt or Transdoshan slavers he had been across in the past. He took his datapad and began typing out a list of things he would need like a normal being might to a shopping list. His fingers moved quickly as he listed everything the Alchemist had said.

<<I maybe able to get the Miraluka secured before I leave the system, the gen'dai will be troublesome but not impossible to locate, but it will be hard to 'convince' to come with me.>> Odium began thoughts still racing through scenarios, <<The Rhak-suri will be trouble as well. Do you need the Gen'dai and Rhak-suri alive and do the pheromones work on amphibians and insects?>>

Odium looked up unsure if he was moving to fast.

<<Forgive me, I am a person who values knowledge.>> he said <<The more I have the easier it will be.>>

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
Valik let out a laugh at the Nautolan's apology.

"Knowledge is power young Sith, and you are wise to seek it." He said, giving the man not one compliment but two, as in his mind few deserved the title of 'Sith'. "The Rhak-Suri's pheromone's only affect mammals, so you should be immune. It will need to be captured alive. The Gen'dai however? Well, a live sample would be best, but I do not suppose it is necessary." He continued as he went to the controls of the ship, unlocking the pilot system.

"There, the piloting interface has been unlocked. You should be able to pilot the ship and engage the hyperdrive now. You won't be able to access anything else, but you'll be able to drive it where you wish to go. I am most interested to see your course of action." He said, as he left the pilot's seat, allowing Odium free reign to pick his destination, to begin the hunt.

"Lead on." He said, as Valik pulled out a datapad and began to send a message.

R-

Was considering starting up a project, but figured with your business(because really, who else's could it be?) you might have cooked up something already and figured I'd give you a call. I need a device that can track Sithspawn, or even artifacts if possible. If you don't have anything it's no issue, but if you can expedite my progress that'd be exceptional, and you know I'm willing to pay for quality work.

Odium nodded and weigh his options carefully. The Gen'dai would be hard to find, the Miraluka would be simple as anything he had done thus far, and the Rhak-Suri would be hard to immobilize and keep locked away until needed. Odium decided to set a course for the one place he knew that may have a Miraluka and be easy to capture...he went to Coruscant.

The ship counted down as he set the coordinates and soon the hyperdrive engaged. The stars all began to elongate and stretch into a small point of light then the white gaveway to the swirling blue mass that was hyperspace. Odium leaned back in the pilot's seat and attached his vocoder to his datapad again and began typing.

"I. am. taking us. to Coruscant." the droid voice said, "If. There. is a. Miraluka. anywhere. we should. be able to. find. it there easily."

Odium looked though his satchel and pulled out a small box with little vials and syringes before selecting one that was part cilona and ronto tranquilizer. He set them aside and returned the box to his satchel. He carefully wrapped it in a cloth and checked that the syringe still held the seal before putting them in his belt pouch. They would be on Coruscant soon.

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
"Excellent." Valik replied at the Nautolan's response. That they were going to Coruscant was unsurprising, from what he'd understood the One Sith had made it quite homey. "But should this be an attempt to betray me, or even recruit me into your One Sith I will kill you, your master, and any hope you have at making a Heart." He promised, letting his bases be clear.

Odium shook his head as he looked at the blueish mass that was hyperspace.

<<The one sith's vision is short sighted and destined to fail.>> Odium answered unconcerned with his true view being know, <<No effort to rule the Galaxy will succeed for long.>>

Odium leaned back and crossed his arms as they waited for the ship to near it's destination.

<<They are all warmongers grasping at power through force as they peck at a decaying beast. Only the Dark Lord has a grasp of vision and planning and even he hordes his knowledge and directs the attacks. They have yet to learn that taking power over beings is less satisfying than manipulating events in such a way that they give the power to you.>>

Odium had no intentions of betrayal but it was true that coruscant was dangerous. The Dark Lord of the One Sith was there and at such close proximity his mind would have to be carefully gaurded to avoid attention.

<<We are nearly there.>>

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
Valik listened intently to the Naotolan's words, or thoughts rather, as he expressed his opinion of the One Sith. Intriguing indeed.

"If you seek not to rule that what is your ultimate goal Odium? I'll make the Heart regardless of what you do with it, but after you have it then what? And your master, the woman, is this her endgame or yours?" He asked, letting his curiosity known, but also his awareness of things he shouldn't. A penchant from Psychometry, something the Nautolan might have recognized from his touching the crystal shard Odium had bound souls to. If not it'd probably be a surprise, something to remind the Naotolan of who Valik was. In any case the ship came out of hyperspace, Coruscant coming into view through the glasteel viewports. They'd be on the hunt soon.
