Oh I'm not hating on your race. Just saying why I chose g at garhoon over energy vampire. I figure they are very similar in all actuality and would probably be the same thing if one guy went through and did an edit of everything star wars to remove redundancies.

Pretty close I guess. Only difference is that garhoons have a known life span and eat brains rather than blood. They both have something that can be retractable, and both have faster speeds and greater strength.

I think you're thinking of Anzati. According to Wookiepedia all that it says on them is that they are vampiric sentients and Bail Organa judged a case over the Garhoons vs their prey/cattle.
