Hide and Run!

Darth Banshee listened to [member="Darth Veles"] as he praised her and [member="Darth Naomi"], and he then explained with practice. They should be able to slip past Jedi, without them being noticed by the force signature. He then went on to explain about force cloak rather than concealment to them, this was interesting to say the least. It would render invisible and give no sound when she had mastered it. He then demonstrated it, and slowly fade out of sight before their eyes. He then must moved, as he was in different position and he never made a sound.

He then explained how to start doing this, by imagining she was under water. Then trying to push the water away from herself, the idea was by pushing the water away she pushing the light and sound away. She sat down again and meditated again to try this. She thought of herself in warm sea, swimming round and decide to dive down. She could see the thermal clime as she descended, as haze where the warm layer of water meets the cooler water below. She then descended into the cold water, she felt need to protect herself from it. She then imagined herself creating an air bubble, to protect herself from the cold water.....

Darth Naomi

They moved on to the next ability, the force cloak. [member="Darth Veles"] demonstrated it rather slowly, no doubt so they could inspect it. Other than some details that might help Naomi learn it, the Miraluka also noticed that her force sight appeared to be rather universal in this case. It was true that it used force to see, or saw through force, but it saw the physical world, not only the force itself. So, when Veles had hid his force signature, Naomi could still see him although his unique aura disappeared. And when he bent the light, she could no longer see his body, but his aura remained. Only when he was hidden both from force and from light would she not see him at all. It seems she learned something new here, something worth keeping in mind.

When the time came to try the force cloak, Darth Naomi imagined sitting in a lake. Not the grand flow of the force like before, merely that she was surrounded by water. The example that Veles had given them, she would adapt to herself. She would the water having a pressure on her, just like the light and sound exerted the tiniest of pressures on human body. And she would try to repel them, imagining a wind blowing outwards from her and pushing the wall of water away. And soon, she would feel lighter as there was no more pressure on her. She only hoped that didn't mean she pushed away air as well, because humans do need to breathe...

Both Sith ladies focused on the task, obviously trying very hard to bend the light around them. It was then that the Mon Calamari noticed they became slightly transparent, but again, he was not the best person to judge that. His sight remained fixed at the two females, knowing no matter how well they did, he would always see them. "Good work, both of you. You can stop now." The amphibian said, seeing their outlines as their physical bodies started to blend with the background, yet knowing the continuous usage of this power was quite exhausting and he needed them to pay attention for a while longer. "I suppose you understand the principle now, so allow me to give you a few warnings. First, Force cloak is very draining until you master it and learn how to use it truly efficiently. It is not draining you as fast when you're meditating, as the meditation provides you with some incoming energy, though it is not enough to feed the cloak for a long time. My suggestion is to practice the power while meditating, as it will greatly increase your Force energy reserves as well as teach you how to bend light faster. If you try to move, you will notice it is draining you far more significantly than when you're meditating. Right now, I guess you will be able to maintain Force cloak and Force stealth while moving for about...," the Sith stroked his barbed between his webbed claws, eyes darting from [member="Darth Banshee"] to the other student, "A minute? It will get much better with practice, trust me. I suggest always meditating to replenish your energy after using Force cloak. You can keep your signature hidden though, that is not a very draining power and what you get from meditations is more than what it uses."

"Second, cybernetics and species with unique eyesight, such as the Mon Calamari...," Veles smiled, "Some species possess low-light vision and see in unique wavelengths, allowing them to see you even if you hide with Force cloak. I can see you, no matter how hard you try to hide. Same with those who use cybernetic replacements for their eyes," his right eye swiveled to look at [member="Darth Naomi"], bringing up the matter of cybernetics, "Most models come with several vision modes. Thermal vision can detect you just fine, so if your opponents have cybernetic eyes or helmets, they can switch to those to find you. This is why I recommended a new pair of eyes for you, Lady Naomi. You'll see everything. Sometimes, it is the Force that deceives you, not your eyes..."

"Do you have any questions?"
