Hiding in Plain Sight

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay was a politician, through and through. Beating around the bush, being vague and avoiding answering direct questions were par for the course.

But [member="Drogh"] seemed to be just as good at handling himself in that way, despite his anger issues. "Have you received any training? Or are you fully self taught?"

Drogh felt uncomfortable, what a odd question? Trained in what, self taught in what? How did she know? Did she know? Drogh narrowed his eyes behind that mask, glaring at her with suspicion, finally after a rather uncomfortable pause Drogh said with no hint of formality and bluntly said "What?"

"I can feel the Force around you [member="Drogh"] , and although you have control over it, it still runs wild." She could feel the Force moving around him like it ran around her. Only she had a far better control over it than he did.

But it was odd in how he didn't seem to even be aware of it. Surely he knew. Most did, didn't they?

Drogh frowned, trying to play ignorant hadn't worked, did Drogh answer the question? Drogh although tried several times never had any real master, no one to teach him fully. He remember vaguely being stuck on some snowy planet, where some monks of a dead order lived, in fact Drogh remembered vaguely a sith, but it was short, a dealing with a crime lord, but nothing ever came of it. Drogh was truly left to rot and die, yet he carried on as master less as he was. "I have had no training."

Kay took a step forward to [member="Drogh"] , more so to see how he'd react than anythung else. She didn't know what kind of control that he had, if anything. There was no clue as to what skills he had either.

Too many unknowns, too many unanswered questions. By right she could just kill him now and save herself any trouble that he may cause. But there was a chance that he could be useful. And why waste an opportunity?

"Would you like to have some training?"

The lady moved up on Drogh, one step closer. A deep hollow breath that had almost a echo to it, a sigh. Drogh stared into those green eyes, green and bright but yet so, disturbing, Drogh did not trust this women in the slightest, yet she was offering him training? Would she just leave him as so many already had? Drogh did not know, nor could he saw but what choice did he have? If he refused, could she just kill him with a single wave of her hand? Would she send people after him, or rather would he miss a chance to become so much more powerful. The Dark side was destroying Drogh, yet it mocked him as he could not use it, rotting him within and laughing. Drogh could not say no, not matter how much she hated or distrusted this women, would she torture him and call it training? Perhaps chain him down to be her "apprentice", or simply use him as a pawn in some great game that Drogh will never know of, what cruel intentions did this women have? Yet again, Drogh had nothing to loose, Drogh him self took a step forward, getting some what uncomfortably close to her, speaking in quiet, hollow ghostly and shrill words "I would".

"Alright. Good. You'll need to learn a few things in order to survive. Most Sith Lords would have killed you where you stood, possibly the Jedi as well. Then there are those that seek to destroy all Force users entirely."

She gestured for [member="Drogh"] to step forward. "You prefer to go unnoticed, don't you? I can help you to not be picked out among other Force users so easily."

Drogh titled his head slightly, looking at her with confusion, then suspicion, he took one step forward, keeping his glare locked on her.

Just one step? Kay raised a brow slightly. She then extended a finger and curled it in a gesture to get [member="Drogh"] to come closer.

"I'm not going to bite. Step into the pathway please...."

Drogh did as he was told, although with hesitation, he had no real reason to trust her, but if she wanted to kill him, he was dead already.

Trust. [member="Drogh"] had none. In a way that was a good thing, but it made learning difficult.

Kay chose to ignore it though. She folded her hands in front of her. For this lesson, all that she needed to do was talk and feel. "This skill is simple in execution, but it takes practice to master. All that you need to do is focus on your signature in the Force. I want you to visualize it. When you can see it and feel it, then picture it shrinking down and being brought inside your core. The idea is to have it so small, that you'd appear to have as little access to the Force as a normal person."

She gave him a nod, indicating that it was his turn. "Go ahead and give it a try..."

Drogh stared at her with puzzled eyes, what the kark was she going on about? Signature? What was that? Some sort of personal beacon within the force? Drogh didn't care, he gave her a blank stare, Drogh began to faze from reality almost. Everything he saw became blur, his eyes drifting, his stare becoming less stern and more loose, for short time Drogh felt nothing at all, before quickly blinking and snapping back to reality.

If only she could see the expression on [member="Drogh"] 's face. It might of made it easier for her. Instead it just appeared as though he merely stood there in silence.

"Did you hear me?" Did he even want to learn? She raised a brow. "Alright then...If you'd rather just go back to wherever you came from. Then go." He was more of a threat to himself than anything.

Drogh knew he couldn't give up now, being denied so many chances to learn, and right now Drogh was given a gateway into knowing at the very least the basics, it was clear she was thinking lesser and lesser of him, he needed to prove him self. Drogh ignoring her comments said bluntly. "Give me a task, and you will have it done." This was a risky move, offering one services, but right now Drogh was frankly afraid he would be left alone in the dark, forbidden to know even the simplest of skills.

Kay folded her arms across her chest now, drumming her fingers on the top arm. [member="Drogh"] was trying her patience and even his request was not the response that she had expected. He clearly was used to being left to his own devices.

"A task? ...Alright then. Pick up that branch over there, but without touching it physically. Do you think you could do that?"

Drogh

Guest
Drogh gave the lady a stare, this was getting no where at all, should Drogh just leave? Yet, a hint of entertainment came across Drogh, he was starting to test her patience, Drogh felt a small sense of pride, as pathetic as it was. Drogh did the task with hardly any effort, moving the branch with a simple wave of the hand. This wasn't a lesson, it was mockery, time was being wasted and the fear he once had for her was starting to dwindle, Drogh him self was loosing patience. "We have wasted to much time here, either you give me a proper task, or just tell me to kark off, because I will greatly do so, this isn't a lesson this is a time waster, I'm sure you have more important things to talk to strange men in cloaks." Drogh hissed at her, it had all the hints of spite and contempt.

Well, at least she got to see [member="Drogh"] do something. Mostly all that he had done was stand there and speak very little. She had tried to teach him something else moments ago, but he had just reacted as though he was clueless. Now he was demanding a task that was of a very different nature entirely. Kay's eyebrows raised at his indignation. "You don't pay attention very well. And as pleased that I am at hearing you speak more than one sentence at a time, your attitude would only shorten your lifespan. Tasking you with going out to kill someone or other such nonsense is not going to benefit me, nor train you in anything worthwhile. So off with you, then." She waved the young man off.
