Diplomacy High commanders office

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
laphisto gave a small nod at the man's words as he addressed his understanding. And decided to give a little insight as to how "my people have Thier ways of understanding. While I may not be able to speak I do understand."

Looking the droid over or more so where he thought the droid was he gave a small nod towards the man " if you wish to send the droid back you may, you are my guest here after all and It would be rude to make demands of you in such a manner"

As he listened to the offers that the man's company could achieve and offer the order he gave a small subtle nod their way. " That would be excellent. The order is in high demand of certain materials and would be most willing to offer our own ships and personal as added protection to ensure that such precious metals are delivered without harm. While our own stations refinery is sufficient it is admittedly several thousand years out dated, of which I'm sure your facilities would be more capable "

Brakkus Brakkus

With the matter settled, Brakkus spoke once more, his native tongue forming a symphony of gleets and guttural sounds. As before, the protocol droid dutifully translated, "Well, as it is acceptable to you—the droid will remain."

He paused briefly before continuing, offering further reassurance regarding the droid's presence. "For your peace of mind," he said, his tone calm yet deliberate, "the databanks of the droid have been completely removed. Any conversation held here will remain strictly between us." Brakkus understood the importance of discretion, especially with a paramilitary organization like the Lilaste Order, and this was his way of respecting their need for confidentiality.

Shifting the conversation, Brakkus leaned forward slightly, a gesture of both curiosity and intent. "Now, if you don't mind me asking," he began, his gaze steady, "who exactly are your people?" The question was pointed, his tone reflecting genuine interest as he responded to the High Commander's earlier comment.

Laphisto gestured toward the table, settling down at the far end. He poured himself a glass of water, the motion steady and unhurried, then slid the pitcher toward Brakkus. His teal-blue eyes flickered every so often, each flash followed by a sharp wince crossing his face. It was like a jolt behind his eyes, irritating and persistent, as if someone was striking him with a hammer each time. He chuckled lightly, more to himself, as Brakkus assumed his dislike for the protocol droid was about privacy. The truth was simpler—he couldn't see the droid at all. It was invisible to him, a reminder of a weakness he carried, one he hoped wouldn't matter here.

He listened to Brakkus's question, leaning back in his chair and tapping a claw against his glass. He let the silence linger for a moment, as if considering his words carefully, before finally speaking.

"My people?" he said, his tone calm but firm. "My people are the Order—the Lilaste Order. Mercenaries, mostly, these last few cycles. We've been trying to get a foothold in this part of space, working to bridge the gap between... certain forces."

He paused, his expression tightening for a moment. A quiet scoff escaped him as he thought of the endless wars between Jedi and Sith. Clearing his throat, he sat straighter, brushing the thought away.

"The Lilaste Order," he continued, "are warriors. We follow a code—honor, brotherhood, loyalty. We don't chase power for its own sake, and we don't deal in absolutes. We stand together, and that's where our strength comes from."

His gaze held steady on Brakkus as he added, with a faint smirk, "And we're the best you'll find on this side of the galaxy."

Laphisto took a sip of his water, letting the moment settle. The flicker in his eyes returned, and he winced again but quickly shook it off. "We're not just fighting to survive," he said, his voice softer now. "We're trying to build something better. A little unity in a galaxy that thrives on chaos."

He set his glass down, tilting his head slightly as he looked at Brakkus. "But enough about us. What do you make of us so far? surely you have heard of us to have come this way to broken a deal. im sure your people dont deal with just anyone"

The question hung in the air, calm and open, as Laphisto waited for Brakkus to respond.
