Strengths and Weaknesses: The High Duke possess an unwavering conviction and powerful force of will. The offspring of generations of noble and military tradition he is the best and worst of what you might imagine from such an upbringing. While he has a strong code of honor and moral compass, they are skewed by his experience of privilege and power. He lacks the contextual experiences to relate to many common folk across the galaxy. His power has often forced him to adopt a macro-view of galactic affairs, meaning that often times individuals are ignored or sacrificed for his concept of "greater good". However you cannot fault him for his loyalty or clarity of vision. He believes wholeheartedly in the CSA and if anything, believes that more must be done to ensure their existence. He is more of a war-fawk than a dove and with the military as the pride of their planet, he is always eager to prove Iseno's military prowess.
APPEARANCE: The High Duke was a tall man. Proud, broad-shouldered, with a noble face. He was the epitome of what a High Officer should be. He kept his regal beard meticulously neat, kept himself in good shape, and gracefully accepted his greying hair. He was almost always found wearing his Iseno/Commenori Uniform
BIOGRAPHY: "United as the Commenori Systems Alliance, Iseno and the other sovereign worlds thrived under the guidance of Lady Kay's government. For two decades, our region of space enjoyed peace and prosperity, realities that were nearly unheard of in the galaxy. The ways of war had been eschewed in favor of commerce, diplomacy, and trade. But I fear that the era of peace is coming to an end. The Galactic Alliance is in retreat and the Sith appear ascendent. If they are not distracted, they may turn their attention to us. Overrun our defenses, enslave our people, and plunder our worlds. Years of peace and prosperity will make you soft. But we on Iseno have never forgotten that things can change quickly.
I propose the formation of the Trader Emergency Coalition, a single economic and insutrial authority supported by the wealth of the CSA and under the leadership of the central government."
Sennion Crestmar grew up with the privilege of being born into Iseno's nobility. However it would be unfair to say he was spoiled. Iseno, being one of the more militaristic planets in the galaxy has maintained a large standing army. The Crestmar family could claim over three centuries worth of military service and the same was expected of young Sennion. His father was stern and distant, but his praise and approval were always remembered moments for Sennion later in life. As a boy he received a standard military education, becoming familiar with famous strategies, tactics and scholars. He learned court etiquette, diplomacy and numerous languages before attending the famous Institute for Sentient Studies on Baraboo. While initially this choice surprised Iseno's noble community, they were impressed when his thesis covered the topic of Democratic War Theory. It was also where he met his future Wife Victoria.
He received an officer's commission in the Iseno Army, specializing in logistics and resource management. Iseno forces were involved in the fight against the One Sith on Commenor and the subsequent conflicts in the region. during this time he was married to Victoria and they had a son named Varion. His role in military conflicts did not end until Commenor was taken over by Lady Kay. As an early admirer, he used his influence to ensure Iseno's annexation into the CSA and he has since reaped modest rewards. He is fairly well known and respected. While not considered the greatest tactician in the CSA, he is involved with several military planning committees and is known as a forward thinker. He spends his time on Iseno overseeing his son's education and enrollment into Naval Strategy programs and worrying about the CSA's military preparedness.
