Home Sweet Home...or Something Close

Cryax laughed and poured himself a glass, too. "Fine. I'll drink with you, Zatten. Only because I see what happens to people who argue with you." He gestured towards the large Zatten-shaped hole in the window.

"I have to warn both of you, though. I can't hold my liquor worth a damn." He slammed his hand down on the bar. "I'm relinquishing responsibility for any bad behavior right here and now. What happens on Iridonia stays on Iridonia."

He grinned at Kadrak and knocked back his first glass in one gulp.

"So Zatten, what's with the eyes anyway? I've never seen a Zeltron with eyes like, well, mine."

I grinned, and my eyes went back to normal.

"I have this fun little thing where I can change for a fight. My vision improves, my teeth grow into little fangs, and everything about me is just sharper. If the whites of my eyes were, well, white, I'd probably have glowing white eyes when I did that."

I smirked at the thought, and gulped down the rest of my drink. The bartender fed a tube from the barrel of whiskey into my glass, and dropped a couple of cubes of sap into it. I slapped Cryax on the back, and passed him another glass.

"Compared to me, nobody can hold liquor. Don't worry. I usually stop when Kadrak does."

Shooting a grin towards the both of them Kadrak finished her glass with a tilt of her head as well, allowing the warmth of the alcohol to wash through her before she set the glass back down on the bar. "Firstly, you'll be drinking with both of us, since I don't intend to be left out of whatever little contest this may spawn into. Secondly, I'd watch that bad behavior of yours, or you might figure out just why Zatten here has been called a demon before. And why people have attempted to exorcise him on more than one occasion, which I haven't been privy to seeing just yet."
At Zatten's last comment she couldn't help but laugh quietly with a shake of her head. "And by stopping when I do he means that he usually drinks enough for the two of us and then some. But this is the first time that drinking has ever warranted a hangover. Oh, and about the distractions, I'm still not certain if I'm sorry or not for possibly being one of them. But since it seems that this hangover isn't hurting you any, I would have to say not."
As Cryax's glass was refilled she did the same, not drinking it just yet. "I would say that we make a game out of it, but I think by now we're all perfectly aware that the resident Zeltrochiss, as he's called himself, can drink anyone under the table. Or maybe you'll be the first to beat him at his own game, Cryax. That'd be a sight to see, for the both of you."

[member="Zatten Black"], [member="Cryax Bane"]

"Ah, so he is part Chiss." Cryax gave Kadrak a crooked grin. "Who knows? Maybe Zatten is my long lost cousin?" He chuckled at the thought. Especially since he and Zatten seemed to be polar opposites. Except for perhaps their taste in women, he thought sneaking a glance at Kadrak.

"It would be suicide for me to join a drinking game with a Force using, half Zeltron." Cryax grinned and turned to Zatten.

"So Zatten what's the craziest night you ever had on Zeltros. I've never been there and I've always heard how debauched the place is. I want all the details."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Zatten Black"]

I grinned, and rubbed my free hand over my face, trying to scrape the last vestiges of fogginess away. I looked at Kadrak innocently.

"What, I thought you enjoyed the two of us being totally disoriented in the morning... Gives a perfectly good excuse to forget how far we burrowed into the blanket."

I gave a slightly pained look to Cryax, and grimaced at the memory of that night. Oh, whatever. It probably hadn't been as bad as I remembered it.

"Well, Cryax, it started because I hit on the wrong girl in school. The babe, y'know? She was definitely a looker... Probably half-Falleen or something, because she had pointed teeth. Anyway, she had this weird outfit she always wore. Something like a bikini top, with a skirt and a really long red jacket...."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Cryax Bane"]

"Oh, you've got him started now..." Kadrak sat down once more and spun on the bar stool as she listened to their conversation with an amused smile playing across her lips. "I don't think either of us will ever be hearing the end of this tale. He's quite fond of his stories, and the crazier the better. And when it comes to his past romances, I have a feeling there's nothing more off the wall." Another quiet laugh, this one a bit more teasing in nature. "No offense meant, of course. I know very well that I can be grouped into that category, but I can't necessarily decline the previous statement without lying through my teeth. We've certainly had more than a few memorable experiences."
At Cryax's comment about refusing to join in on their drinking game she grinned and rolled her eyes. "Sure, that's what they all say in the beginning. He'll either convince you again or you'll unintentionally give in before the night's done. Having been with him for quite some time I'd put more money on the previous statement. It turns out that he can be quite persuasive when he wants to be."
And then Zatten made a statement that was most certainly referring to the blanket forts that had been a private joke of theirs almost since they first met. "Why would I ever want to forget that? You seem to forget that I enjoy those forts of ours just as much as you do, if not arguably more."

Cryax laughed. "For a good time call, 1-800-Zatten?" He gulped down the rest of his whiskey and got another. The young Chiss obviously didn't know how to pace out his liquor yet and he was starting to get quite sloshed. For Cryax, liquor generally acted like Chiss truth serum.

He smiled softly at Kadrak while Zatten was telling his story, and said, "Don't you get jealous when he talks about his exploits? Sorry, it's just, that I've heard so much about Zeltron men and their libidos." He shrugged and took another sip of his drink. "You know, how unfaithful they can be and all that." His red eyes gleamed at her.

"Sorry, I'm being presumptuous. What would I know, I'm just a reserved Chiss after all." he laughed smirking. His red eyes glinted with an edge of mischievousness.

"Go on Zatten, tell us more." the Chiss grinned.

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Zatten Black"]

I rolled my eyes at Cryax.

"I am half-Chiss. I possess a certain level of self-control... I think."

I winked at Kadrak, and stuck out my tongue.

"The what, two, actual hangovers you've seen me have were interesting. I tried to burrow a completely new fort, that first time."

I turned back to my drink, and drank most of it.

"So, to continue. The girl in question had the strongest pheromones out of anybody I'd ever met. She got me alone after a class one day, and started flirting, right? I didn't realize that she was half-Falleen, or I would've been able to guard myself better. About a month later, she came into school leaking so many pheromones that there was a cloud around her. I remember getting pulled into an equipment room after homecoming, and then falling asleep practically naked. When I woke up, I was chained to a freaking hook in the wall, and the girl was still clinging onto me. Crazy queen."

[member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

If Cryax was going to continue along in the same vein the more he drank, things were only going to continue to get more interesting as things continued. But for the time being she deigned to humor him, knowing how those so unaccustomed to their liquor could get when they'd had one too many. And she had a feeling this would be one of many similar questions. "I learned how ridiculous it is to get jealous over things you can't control a long time ago. If I were to concern myself with every one of his exploits, there wouldn't be time for much else. I don't worry about his faithfulness either. He knows how good of a shot I am, after all." Kadrak shot a wink towards Zatten.
"The hangovers I don't mind, nor the forts or any stories you might have to tell about your previous adventures. You should know it takes a lot to bother me by now, I would think. And you don't seem too intent on trying." She smiled as she drank about half of her current glass. "It just wouldn't be us without the bawdy tales, anyhow."
As Zatten finished the rest of his story she raised a nonexistent eyebrow with a half smile of sorts. "An interesting predicament you managed to get yourself into. Remind me to tread carefully should we happen upon her in our travels. I wouldn't want to have to rescue you from some half-Falleen, after all. That would just be terrible."

[member="Zatten Black"], [member="Cryax Bane"]

The young Chiss, perceptibly slurring his words, continued to poke the bear with a stick and goad Zatten. Cryax wasn't a pretty drunk.

"C'mon Black! That was tame compared to what I expected of you. Tell some more stories! Or better yet, give us a number. How many women have you slept with?"

He chuckled a bit as he reached for another drink, lurched and missed, then finally got a hold of his glass. He looked at Kadrak and grinned. "I'm afraid I don't have any tales to tell of simliar exploits. Another contest I'd lose, no doubt!"

With a quick look at Kadrak he added, "Although I have been told that I'm an amazing kisser."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Zatten Black"]

I raised my eyebrow back at Kadrak, and smiled warmly.

"Do you count yourself as the object of a few of those 'bawdy tales' as you put it, love? Some of those hangovers were legendary. Not as insanely fun as this one's been, though."

Hearing the comment about the half-Falleen, I laughed.

"I'd never put you in that position. She's a crazy chainsaw-wielding Sith Lady now. She'd either utterly destroy us both, or try something a bit more... devious."

I grinned at Cryax. His comment about being a good kisser didn't faze me. At all.

"You might like her, though. You seem to be a bit of a masochist when it comes to Sith Ladies... and Kadrak, apparently."

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Cryax Bane"]

"Legendary is not a word I would use to describe a hangover of any magnitude. But there's a chance I might consider myself one of the members, the other being yourself. And yes, those hangovers were quite fun, but I've never seen them amount to something as much as you getting thrown through a window by some member of member or ex-member of the Zabrak military. You did arrive at a very convenient time, however. Not that I don't enjoy talking to you, Cryax, but I don't think things would have been nearly as eventful without our pink friend showing up." Kadrak winked and leaned over to kiss Zatten. "You are quite special, after all."
With a half grin she regarded their Chiss company who was most certainly and undeniably drunk. "Unfortunately for you, I quite enjoy being with and kissing Zatten here." She paused for a moment with a smirk, not bothering to refill her glass just yet. "To answer your question for Zatten for him with an answer all my own...two. Not that I'd ever know about such a thing."

[member="Zatten Black"], [member="Cryax Bane"]

Cryax blushed, his cheeks turning slighly purple. Zatten's last quip stung a little. Ok, a lot. And Kadrak's statement just rubbed salt on the wound. He shook it off with a grin, and continued his little game of Prod The Zelto-chiss.

The tipsy Chiss shrugged and then waved a finger at Kadrak. "I dunno, why don't we let Kadrak decide? Kark the drinking contest. Let's have a different kind of contest."

"Which one of us is the better kisser?"

He smiled at them both as he knocked back another whiskey. Then he pointed at Zatten.

"You! You've gotta be game for that Black!"

[member="Zatten Black"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

I laughed, and nearly fell out of my chair.

"Cryax, you're so drunk you'd kiss the wall if I drew a face on it."

I grinned at Kadrak, and stuck my tongue out.

"You know, I think we've gotta find somebody to occupy him... Possibly today."

I raised my eyebrow at Cryax again, and nodded.

"Yes, we're going to find you a Sithy girl for sure. Possibly even a sane one."

[member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Oh, this was going to be interesting. Kadrak couldn't help but laugh at how Cryax was making a spectacle of himself, though it was all in good fun. "Somehow I have a feeling that even if he was occupied he'd still suggest something of the sort. Just a bit of a hunch of mine." She looked to Zatten with a grin and leaned back in her chair as she studied the slicer, already imagining the hangover he would be nursing in the morning, especially if he didn't start pacing himself. It may be a little late for any attempts at moderating things, but after getting a good look at him she decided it couldn't hurt.
"I think at this point keeping him in his chair is going to be quite the endeavor. But if you want to try and find him someone, be my guest. I'm waiting patiently for his first bar fight, myself. And knowing us it won't be long before someone's either unintentionally provoked, or any three of us decide to start something. Maybe he'll make a new friend after it's all said and done. Not that I'm challenging the fact that he's enjoying our company, because he definitely seems to be."

[member="Zatten Black"], [member="Cryax Bane"]

"Are we going somewhere else?" the drunk Chiss perked up at the suggestion. Cryax was vaguely frustrated that he hadn't gotten a rise out of Zatten, but he was still enjoying himself. The Chiss was fully lit, and feeling no pain. The bar they were in was nice enough, as was the company, but his third wheel status was getting under his skin. Maybe a change of scene would be good.

"So where shall we go next then?" He draped his lanky arms around the both of them, grinning with those red eyes glowing, his breath boozy. "Zatten probably knows all the best places, right? Come on! I want to see you both live up to your trouble-making reputations. Is a bar fight with a Zabrak freight train the best you can do tonight?"

[member="Kadrak Jalaan"] [member="Zatten Black"]

I grinned at my drunken friend, and pat him on the back.

"Just one little thing before we go anywhere. This might sting a little."

I put my hand on his face, the fingers spread above his eyes, and sent a charge of the Force flying into his brain, clearing the fog of intoxication from most of his mind.

"There. Now who wants to see where I get thrown through another window? I don't know anything around here, so we can use that as the trial by error."

[member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Without rhyme or reason, the bar suddenly zipped back into focus. Cryax stood there blinking his red eyes, momentarily perplexed by the sudden shift in his physical state. He wasn't sure he liked the feeling of the phantom traces of Zatten Black still lingering in his head. Especially when the man barged in there without his permission.

The Chiss suddenly remembered that Zatten wielded the Force, and while Cryax knew he had a pretty strong mind, it wasn't strong enough to completely bar the Jedi from gaining access to his thoughts. With a pang of embarrassment, he realized he'd have to keep his thoughts more closely guarded. Especially those concerning the opposite sex.

Zatten was enthusiastically suggesting window diving again. Cryax didn't feel as jubliant as before, but he didn't want the night to end just yet.

He shrugged and grinned at the couple. "I'm still game for some troublemaking. But if we do anymore drinking tonight, you have to promise me you won't do that again."

[member="Zatten Black"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

I grinned, and shrugged, still holding onto Kadrak.

"Do what?"

Cryax glared at me.

"Fine, sorry. Thought you'd appreciate that, honestly. You looked like you were gonna fall over. I won't do it again unless you ask."

[member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Kadrak Jalaan"]

Kadrak looked between the two of them with a grin. "Well, all things considered I'd say things just got started. Especially when it comes to bar fights, because I know for a fact there's more fun to be had with unprovoked conflicts. And a few contests, if you guys happen to be of a competitive mind. I have an idea for something between the two of you, but if I took part I'm afraid I would have a bit of an unfair advantage. That, and it will be interesting, I think, to see how quick you two can think on your feet. If you're up for it. I wouldn't want to ruin anyone's idea of a good time before it has a chance to begin. And the three of us will have to find a spot of trouble to get in as well. Between all of us it shouldn't be too hard to provoke somebody."
At Cryax's last comment she only smiled. "Oh, there will definitely be more drinking tonight. He's never been one to start this early, and you need to learn just how to have a good time, I think. And we just so happen to be on Iridonia, where I grew up, and there's a chance I might have a good idea of the best places for drinks, food and general troublemaking. If all parties are in agreement."
