SPECIAL FEATURES
- Force Enhanced Boots: Speed
- The elastaine in the boots allow them to stretch, in order to accommodate for some of [member="Dianah Vi'Dreya"]'s Shi'ido shapeshifting abilities.
- The soles are made of durasteel with internal Spacers Leather padding to give the wearer the ability to safely walk on very hot and very cold surfaces without feeling the ground's temperature.
- Due to slight Alchemy intervention, the wearer of these boots can increase their speed by about 10% compared to when walking barefoot/wearing regular shoes.
- These boots are heavy so if someone breaks into your house and you don't have time to put them on, you can just smack their faces with the boots with a good chance at breaking facial bones.
- The Kiin'dray Leather makes it nearly impossible for anyone other than the wearer to pull the boots off (does not affect their general durability).
- These boots won't protect the wearer from slugthrowers, direct and focused lightsaber stabs/cuts.
- These boots are heavy, and the wearer will definitely feel it after long enough of a march.
- If the boots are stretched beyond 20% of their original size, all resistances drop to None or Low and the wear/tear increases.
- These boots provide no protection for the knees. Additional gear is required for that.
When Scherezade joined the Confederacy, she was immediately issued a pair of Bone Marches. The Bone Marches were great and did their job as expected, yet after close to nine months of constant battles and missions, combined with the fact she wore them everywhere (for instance, even to parties while wearing a fancy dress), their wear and tear was beginning to slightly show. However, since she didn't really put much effort into her external appearance, usually wearing just jeans and wide t shirts, she didn't really care.
But when Scherezade cast her memory altering spell and became Madalena, Madalena did care. Sure, she still wore the boots under the dresses, but her fashion sense had developed compared to that of the girl who no longer existed, and she wanted a pair of boots that looked a little less like something she had been living in for the past year or two.
As Madalena was also not the social outcast that Scherezade had been, she had a group of friends about her. Some of them, a bunch of Femme-Fatals according to various different cultures, had grouped together and called themselves the Honey Boos of the Confederacy. Madalena figured that since she was going to be making boots instead of buying, she might as well create something that would fit all her home girls.
Having recently returned from a joined mission with [member="Dianah Vi'Dreya"], with whom her friendship was growing stronger, Madalena asked Dianah if she was interested in trying to the prototype out. Dianah said yes.
In truth, it was much simpler to do than Madalena had thought it would be. Materials were ordered and it took her a few attempts to construct a boot that could hold together. Most of her energies were on increasing the speed of the wearer; that alone took her a week to get right.
The current boots are still some guesswork though. These are prototypes, and both Madalena and Dianah will be using them for a few months before returning to the working table to see which additional changes are required.
