Rules Update Hot New General Rule Just Dropped

Rule is pretty straightforward, though I don't know what problem it fixes or changes because Star Wars has every kind of violence just about from simple assault to mass genocide. I mean even the movies have someone being burnt alive, beheading, and maiming of limbs. There are some pretty brutal deaths and legends has body horror as well.

About the only kind of violence I don't really see in star wars is already covered by the rules in the sexual content rules. So anyone worried shouldn't be unless you are beyond extreme in describing violence.

far out, man

I think it's generally "and then Mace Windu cut Jango fett's head off". That's shown. That's pretty normal for Star Wars. Laser swords and all.

But if you go into five paragraphs or whatever describing it... that's odd. Don't do that.

To the people whose brains go to hypotheticals and what ifs, pay close attention to those defending this ruling.

The community doesn’t usually defend rulings.

They think this one’s pretty open ended and fair and don’t want you making it more restricted.

Dont be a Hypothetical Harry.

Be an Open Ended Oscar.

Make your ends more open.

Spread your ends like an eagle and open them.

This used to be a common problem on other RP's I've played over time, especially in the Star Trek setting
and not pertaining to just violence; technology getting out of hand was a problem as well
or people wanting to include out of universe elements like crossovers / transplanted characters
then you have the gun people/Military sci-fi flavor -- "Starfleet Marines" and what have you

In general: if you're getting too far away from the source material, then it's not Star Wars anymore
others above said the movies are the best guide, I agree
