HOTH SNOWBALL FIGHT! [Christmas Event!]

While everyone made their own battle plans of attack, there was one person who was simply here to have fun. "Weeee!" Sliding down a large hill was a giggling, red-faced, nineteen year old girl with the mentality of a ten year old. Of course, it was all an act, but you had to have some serious fun once in a while, right? The girl had just about reached the base of the hill when she saw that she was headed right into two others. Oops. "Watch out!" It was then that she slammed right into the twi'lek.

@[member="Suhr"]

It was just Gherron's luck that the minute he turned his back, he was nailed with a snowball. A smirk on his face, he did a 360 and headed straight for the two girls, slowly forming two snowballs. One for each. "Oh girls..."

After a modest journey, the fireteam -- as it were -- reached the top of the rolling hill and could already see others in the distance below. "Ma'am, two targets spotted, unidentified. I don't think they see us. Ma'am!" the leading member exclaimed, almost proudly. "Alright, men. This is the spot. Trench in!" exclaimed the captain. They pulled out compact shovels and began working their asses off to get a good, solid trench going at least four feet in the snow, and build up compressed snow bricks to make walls and igloos out of. Seemed they were making a snow fort! With the white clouds, white snow and white battle dresses, it wouldv'e been virtually impossible to spot them without some form of enhanced vision or infra-red. All while they worked like good defense force soldiers, Alachei came to have some fun; and she was a helluva shot. She gently scooped a bit of snow from the ground before her. With the Force, she focused until she could outburst in energy, crushing it solid into a tightly packed practically vacuum-sealed snowball. "Alley'oop," she uttered girlishly, as she proceeded to send it hurdling with a throw of her long arms and a speed boost from the Force, unwittingly straight for the Twi'lek it seemed.

(((spins head repeatedly I don't know who I'm taggin', there's too many people!!! XD)))

Seeing @Gherron Vael coming for her, Nala shrieked with joy before running away from him. She ended up tossing her snowballs back overhead, not knowing if they hit him or not. She looked back long enough to see that he was still following, making her giggle more. She turned herself back, trying to reach @[member="Suhr"] to warn her, but wound up getting in the path of @Alachei Mnemenos when she was coming towards her comrade in the snowball fight.

(Hope that helped Alachei CX)

Zaiden's eyes widened, time seemed to slow as he looked down. He was wounded...the saber had pierced through his abdomen, cauterizing it's way through multiple organs. Only through sheer luck did it avoid his heart or lungs.

Slowly Zaiden raised his head, hair hanging loosely in front of his eyes...which now luminescently shone red, with the veins appearing black and sticking out against the scarlet. Something they hadn't done since attempting to purge himself of the darkness. He had shown the man trust, and he betrayed him. He didn't care if he died now, Mikhail would get the point.

Flaring his power to it's utmost peak, Zaiden roared out a combination of Bellow and Explosion. Thus all at once Mikhail and those nearby would have to choose to defend against the sound waves, or the Telekinetic blast moving out in all directions away from him. The one to get the worst would be Mikhail as he was legitimately within inches.

@[member="Alachei Mnemenos"] @[member="Gherron Vael"] @[member="Scarlet Faith"] (you guys may want to back up. Lol when Zaiden gets betrayed things go boom. And he's facing the Thronebreaker so this ought to be interesting.)

The others had begun whilst Lucien had been deep in thought, however it seemed none had bothered to throw snow at him, how quaint. He ducked down and began packing snow together then something moved in the force, as zaiden began ... well Lucien didn't know what the scream dissipated around Lucien as he defended against it but the blast knocked him into the snow drift. snow tumbled over him.He spat snow onto the ground and then returned to his former position. He noticed a young jedi @[member="Gherron Vael"] about to throw snow at two women who it, how uncivilised, Lucien pack snow together and threw it at the back of the jedis head whilst also calling to him "Have the jedi neglected to teach you manners" The he vaulted behind a second drift in order to communicate telepathically with his former master "My Lord master would you like a hand with Mr. James-Greyson" he doubted he would be of any real use he was after all unarmed however what sort of student would he be if he didn't at least offer.

Snowballs. People. And now a wall of snow thrown by some form of telekinesis. Just a short list of some of the things Suhr had had thrown at her within the space of a minute. Two of them had collided into her with some force - The first of these was none other than @[member="Scarlet Faith"], who had seen fit to take Suhr's legs out from underneath her, causing the Twi'lek to fall onto her back into the snow, and accidentally snowball herself in the face upon landing. How embarrassing.

It was all she had time to think before the wave of snow launched by the now injured @[member="Shado"] physically threw her body a good meter away from where she had originally fallen. It was the first indication she had had that this wasnt going to remain a snowball fight for long...

The snow was everywhere. But not because of nature. The beings that had organized the event understood what had happened, for they had seen @[member="Mikhail Shorn"]'s lightsaber errupt through the back of Zaiden's torso. Immediately a small group of them sprung into action, producing an aeray of blaster pistols that were, for now, set to stun. The squad of eight moved into a vague circle around the two, their blasters primed and ready to fire.
This was not intended to be a fatal battleground, and those that broke this rule would either be chased from the event to continue their combat elsewhere, or arrested and handed over to the nearest goverment facility.
Either way, action was required. The squad fired - two stun rounds from all eight of the blasters made their way to the two combatants. It was overkill, but this needed to be stopped for the good of the event.

Alachei watched on in lighthearted amusement as the snowball went soaring towards its target, only to be intercepted by someone else running by, @[member="Nala Tu"]. That is when a huge blast emerged from the foot of the hill, sending a heavy gust of wind flying past Alachei all the way up the hill. It knocked down some of the snow bricks her guards were making, and threw snow back into their trenches at the top of the hill.

She smiled, holding in the laughter building up inside her from growing into a malicious cackle. "Heh. You shouldn't have done that, stranger," she uttered, both telepathically and in Bellow, so that each and every living thing within any eyeshot in any direction, hell, the whole tundra, could hear loud and clear if they were paying any attention.

Hey eyes flared with a deep indigo as a dozen completely constricted-solid snowballs eminated from the ground floating all around her, arms outswept. She poured so much focus and energy into it, they practically glew with a faint pink light from their cores just from the ammount of force - literally- being used to crush them.

In an outburst of wind from the sheer speed of their acceleration, Alachei's hair kicked up for a second as the barrage of hard snowball-artillery was flying to the core of the blast and anyone who'd get inbetween that A and B. She then hit the ground with one knee, almost panting, realizing she was really going to pay for that little expenditure later on.

Getting up stiffly, Scarlet looked around at her surroundings. Off in the distance, two force users had begun fighting, one of then severely injured. But that wasn't her main concern at the moment. Turning to look at the twi'lek, she paled. Rushing over she tried to help her up. "I am so sorry! Are you okay?"

@[member="Suhr"]

It would be impossible to not see the figure wearing the gleaming dark green and purple armor against the harsh white background. It was almost as if he had a glowing arrow pointing at him saying hey I'm here, come play. The wind whipped his cloak wildly as he gazed around the field for targets.

Daxton wasn't the least preturbed that weapons were banned, seeing this as an excellent opportunity to hone is melee skills in close quarter combat. Beneath his armor, the colony of orbalisks gave a collective shiver as they dug deeper into his flesh to ward off the cold. The sting of venom was like a surge of adrenaline as he placed an armored gauntlet against the ground and reached out to the Force.

The ground beneath him began to shake as he invoked his mastery of Earth to create a snow fort on his position. Thus protected, he launched a barrage of six snow balls at the figure in red standing near the twilek. With a grin on his face, he said, "Fire in the hole."

The bellow struck Shorn full force; a massive shoving weight that smacked him like a giant's hand, sending him for a ride in the sky and knocking the wind clean out of him. As Mikhail hurtled backward, his lightsaber - still embedded in Zaiden's body - came with him. The purple blade of the Soulsaber had intriguing effects when it touched flesh, sending a stab of unbelievable and agonizing cold that would make Hoth seem like a sauna. These didn't really matter if the person struck didn't have a spine left to feel.

The violet blade flashed, Shorn heard the hissing of burning flesh. As he tumbled backward he caught a single glimpse of Zaiden. The man stood, an expression of shock on his features. Steam rose off a clean, diagonal slice cutting him nearly in half, extending from just below the right ribcage to below the left pectoral and exposing a bulging jumble of white strings that threatened to push their way out.

And then all he could see was a blue sky nearly blotted out by flurries of snow followed by an empty whiteness. He landed in the snow with a crunch. Not the soft, powdery kind. The packed ice kind that rips the skin off your arms and leaves you shivering with wet cold. Shorn lay on his back, wheezing for breath. Panic began to set in as he couldn't find air, then all at once it came rushing into him, flooding his lungs and expanding them painfully into what could only be a broken ribs. Shorn blinked salty tears away at the pain. Okay, several broken ribs. He groaned, then spat as snow fell in his open mouth.

Grimacing, Mikhail rose slowly to his feet. The power of the Soulsaber made his injuries feel like mere bruises. Victory danced in his pale eyes, but then he noticed that tingle down his spine. Eight soldiers, encircling. Shorn leapt up, high into the air just as they fired. Stun bolts darted beneath him. Nonlethal. Mikhail would not show them the same kindness.

He landed, feet sinking deep into the snow. His hand touched his side briefly, the jolt of the landing hurt his ribs like hell. Extending his hand, Shorn's lips curled into a snarl. Snowballs began to rise around him. Eight of them. No, snowballs wasn't the right word for these.... iceballs. He sent them flying, each toward a separate target. Hard ice struck six throats, tearing them open and painting the snow red. Mikhail's eyes fell on the remaining two. They should have run. They should have fled. But they could not. They stood there, transfixed with horror at the sudden fate of their comrades. Pale eyes as fierce as the blizzard above them, Shorn exerted his telekinetic will on them, squeezing harder and hard. His fingers curled into a fist. Their heads exploded.

A voice boomed across the snow, followed by a few moderately accelerated snowballs that pelted the surrounding area. Some apprentice was trying to show off. Not all that impressive. Mikhail glanced derisively at the dead "enforcers" one last time before walking away from the bodies. In the fall, he'd lost sight of Zaiden. Where was he so he could finis- A voice rang suddenly in Shorn's head.

"No, I've already taken care of it. I'm tired of this... fun, Lucien. I'm angry. I can't feel anything besides that... not joy, not sorrow. Just this burning anger. It's the only thing I think I can feel...." A little madness crept into his telepathic whisper to Lucien, or perhaps it was just the exhaustion speaking. "I want to break people, Lucien. Help me break them?"

Shorn whipped his attention back to the dead bodies and with a sharp, dragging, gesture of his hand ripped off the heads of three. He floated them around for a moment, before dumping them in a snowback, rolling them around a bit. Snow stuck to the slick blood on the heads, making them look like giant red-splattered snowballs. Shorn's pale eyes danced madly as he looked for his next target. That apprentice who'd been showing off, the weakling in the Force. Yes...

@[member="Alachei Mnemenos"] would soon find three bloody heads coated in snow shrieking straight for her at bone-breaking speed.

"Catch!"

The dozen pink tinted snowballs flew through the packed snow on the ground like mass driver rounds through a medical ship's hull. Apprentice or not, only a fool would underestimate the Force in any denomination. Throwing simple ice balls were child's play, even for one of her rank. Alachei's smirk only grew wider, so that the glistening white teeth in her mouth were exposed to join her long daggery fangs. "With pleasure!" She yelled. Before so much as a blink could be made, the first head's face being nearly torn off by iron-like claws filed to the most fine razor-sharp point. She simply dipped to dodge the second, and used a Barrier to buffer the third so that it would land firmly in her hand; all with precision and speed rivaled by few in this galaxy. The force of the impact with her outstretched hand flicked tiny spats of blood across her right cheek. She may have been "weak" in the Force to him, but in hindsight she was a Master in the arts; not the kind they teach at a Jedi temple.

"You are very lucky," she said firmly, arms crossed, "If I did not have honor for these rules, I would draw forth the Forbidden Crown and cut you down where you stand. I will not fight you on this day. Your confidence is blinding, it will be your downfall."
His type were always like that; they thought they're such hotshots in the Force or some other special ability that they are unstoppable, but forget that it is not the only means of killing. In plain, old martial combat, he was potentially leagues beneath her. She hoped he would not be ignorant enough to find that out the hard way. Then again, he did just kill ten innocent people, which she did not appreciate. If not for being a hypocrite for it, Alachei would have cut him to fine pieces with a fluid blitz for his deeds rather than not openly fall to his level and obey the rules.

"Cool."

Shorn crushed down on her throat with a grip like a docking clamp in the Force. Any given day an Apprentice could best a Master, but when it came to throwing power weight around, it was all about the experience. And in this case, Sith Lord with a dark side artifact outweighed a snow-happy nightmare-on-elm-street-esque apprentice.

While attempting to levitate her into the air with his Force Choke, he readied himself to defend against her inevitable counterattack, which would probably take the form of throwing something at him, since he stood at a distance.

In about eight seconds she would lose consciousness from the constricted blood flow. In twenty she would die from cerebral hypoxia.

"Merry Sithmas."

Valx got off the chartered ship and immediately stripped himself of all but his loincloth. It was time to partay!!! He ran around chucking snowballs at everyone he saw. He then proceeded to make an igloo and snow fort around his igloo, with a snowman with a stormtrooper helmet on the wall. Valx smirked and started gathering snow to ake his snowballs. Hoth was the perfect planet...how come they'd never thought of this before?

"Hehe...come get me," He muttered aloud.

By this time he was freezing, so he built a fire in his igloo with the smoke going out a hole in the roof...toasty.

Alachei kept her mind free of any sudden thought just with patience and strength of will alone, for which her people were renowned. Her body slowly began leaving from the ground, the snowballed head in her hand falling forth and rolling down the steep hill. She didn't fight it. No, she did not struggle to resist. She paused to get a few words out, but for now that was the full extent of her efforts. "You just don't get it, do you," she attempted to relay to the man telepathically. "You 'strong in the Force' types, you all think that brute force will always succeed. But ask yourself; what will you succeed in?" Then she shifted focus to her captain onlooking from the hilltop entrenchment. "Don't. Call the frigate down, send this fool to Ri'ess, and get the medical droid for any casualties...." After a while, she began to lose consciousness... or so it would seem. @[member="Mikhail Shorn"] was underestimation after underestimation, it was almost saddening how many things he overlooked in his obvious pride.

"What do I want to succeed in? Killing you, for starters..."

His gaze followed hers toward the hilltop, but he held no skill with telepathy and therefore could not read her message, nor even know that she had sent one. Still, a shiver of warning ran down his spine. He ignored it for now, keeping his senses alert.

Shorn walked forward, step by step, until he stood in front of the woman who hung suspended in the air by his power. Life slowly ebbed out of her as the Force choke began to turn into a crush, with Shorn attempting to stave in her trachea and break her neck. It was a good thing that Mikhail believed in overkill, otherwise he might indeed have underestimated this apprentice. But a lightsaber to the gut tended to fix all estimations.

Mikhail stabbed upward, while simultaneously dragging her toward him with a Force Pull, but not relenting on the crushing force around her neck. Hurrah for multitasking. Snapping a neck and turning her into an apprentice-kabob would make her considerably less underestimatable.

(((I did not look at any one bro. It's not like she doesn't already know intimately who they are and where they are. Just a friendly, neutral notice. Focus can be a mental thing, though I apologize for any confusion you may have come to.

Also refer to my OOC discussion post regarding the status of the choke attempt.

And my PM concerning the flawed underestimation of ANY Force-user's ability to fling iceballs at high (but still sub-sonic) speeds.
It was a Force-supplemented throw, not a cannon. It doesn't take much, even IRL, to cut through fresh snow with ice....)))

@[member="Mikhail Shorn"] The man's attempts at a choke would have been effective had it been any other or some mere human. Though she was not any human. Her entire biology differed in ways. Aside from the longer duration of survivability due to her kind's considerably lower oxygen intake, more streamlined breathing ability and the ability to breathe through port holes in her lower neck protected by muscular glands. She knew he would not expect this, and used it to her full advantage. Sadly, he would indeed suspect such things from now on. Right as he stood before her, she unleashed what energy she had left to blast a small Force Barrier, stuttering the Dark Side choke and preventing his saber from coming up to meet her.
"Ass," Alachei exclaimed, barely needing to regain her breath from the chokehold. "Ignorance is bliss, BUT NOT YOURS." She continued. As quickly as she could, she retreated up the hill in a flip and a backstep, throwing herself into the trenches where her compatriots pulled her in and huddled over her, throwing chunks of ice and compacted snow as a cover and distraction while the frigate came into the area. She was physically drained at this point, and couldn't afford to push herself much further either martially or in the Force. She was sure to have ghost nightmares for this one.

Several blasts of light shone through the low clouds of the storm and from them emerged four pairs of laser cannon bolts came hurdling down at the area the man was now standing, half way up the hill. Immediately after, using it as a cover suppressant, the ship flew down as fast as it could while not endangering its ground crew, and came to a hover right atop the hill, behind them. "Move, move, move!" One yelled as the cargo shutter door flung open. In a diamond formation with the Captain at the fore for suppressive snowballing, the group moved back towards the ship where a couple twin lasers and a blaster rifle would be the only things to meet anyone in pursuit, then the door would slam shut.

Zaiden couldn't sustain his own weight, and fell backwards like a lifeless stone. But he was not. Despite the raw pain coursing through his body, Zaiden fought to control himself and remain conscious. Punching himself with the force was the only way to activate the holocom in his pockets. His droids would show and remove him. As he waited he called out weakly, "You caught...me off guard...when I reach...the next step...in power I'll be back..." By the end of his words his HK droids appeared and began to slowly place him on a hover cart that carried him to the ship where his treatment began.

Feth that hurt. That hurt real bad. Suhr had landed Lekku first in a large bank of snow, and it had dazed her pretty severely. She vaguely heard@[member="Scarlet Faith"] asking her if she was ok, and in her head she managed to reply with something coherent, yet all she managed was a simple "So fall. Very daze. Much snow." Normally Suhr recovered quickly from falls, but it must have been the cold that slowed her vaguely quick mind. Still though, other than being dazed Suhr was visibly fine - if not a little sore...

Hoth. Cold and white. Adenn Gra'tua didn't want to be here right now, he knew people would be looking for him and there was a dreadful snowstorm. He was wearing his regular Mandalorian armor, he didn't need anything else since his suit had heating systems in it "can't see osik in front of me" Adenn mumbled looking to the right "some chakaryc better not sneak up on me" he saw mounds of snow making cover scattered across the ground "terrible cover. It will melt right when a blaster hits it" suddenly a snowball came from out of the snowstorm and hit Adenn in the side of the face, pulling out his blaster Adenn shouted "who did that!" He ran towards where the snowball had came from only to be hit by another one, this time though Adenn saw where it came from, he fired a shot and heard it hit something. Holstering his pistol Adenn ran towards his assailant, he crouched down next to him and heard him say "you weren't supposed to shoot me" before dying "oh," Adenn said, realization dawning on him "don't want anybody to find this" he said nervously before started moving snow over the body before continuing his route "so don't shoot anybody that throws a snowball at me" he said chuckling.
