Hour of the Wolf

She lifted an eyebrow when he offered his ship to be her home and to continue to stay on to run missions with him.

"What about my ship? I mean it should probably belong in a museum or something, but it's a champ fighter. Is your ship able to hold it? If it is, then I would be able to run missions on my own or separately from you if needed."

Shaking her head at the stupidity of the question, Sulen looked around the ship and realized it couldn't accommodate her ship as well. He told her to take a seat and relax while he went and changed. Typical of a soldier, she kicked off her shoes before taking a seat and looking around the lounge.

It was well kept and she could appreciate this. Scuros returned with a bacta patch for her arm. He sat down next to her and removed the bandages he had put there on the field. With a more than gentle touch, the sith placed that patch on her arm. In a way it was similar to what she had done on Voss with the light touch.

"Me too. Thank you again, Scuros."

While she had thought she would never feel again, something was there. Not yet sure what it was, Sulen would explore it later.

"I didn't think about that. I'm not sure if your ship would fit in this one.. Maybe put it in that museum. We can have the Sith Empire give you a better one, that can dock to mine."

Darth Scuros could sense she was developing ferling for him and noticed he had some for her as well. He would look over at Sulen and notice she was still wearing her battletorn clothes. This gave him an idea.

"You didn't bring another pair of clothes, did you? You remember that room I took those Jedi robes from? I have some more relaxed clothes in there you can wear. Someone else who died left them here. Don't worry, they're not cursed. . . anymore."

He would joke with her, but likely they just belonged to an ex girlfriend. Hoping she would take his suggestion, he'd use the opportunity to command the droid to bring out a bottle of wine and dinner while he got a movie started. It was a historical documentary, telling of wars that happened between the time of Exar Kun all the way to a few years prior to present day.

Scuros would imagine the last date he was on a date as he waited for the Imperial woman to return. It had been a long time ago and she wasn't really his type, but he had a feeling Sulen was different.

Proxy, The Sith's training droid would come out of the cockpit and into the lounge, having being summoned via a button on the lounge table.

"Yes, master?" - Proxy-droid

"Bring us some wine and cook something nice. Please." - Darth Scuros

"So you guys are hitting it off then?" - Proxy-droid

"I think so." - Scuros

"Good, you spend too much time alone." - Droid

"That's enough, Prox. Get going." - Scuros

"Right away." - Droid

"Thank you, Prox." - Scuros

"Yeah. Yeah." - Droid

He smirked as the droid went into the kitchen to get some wine and bring it back before starting on food.

"Here's your wine." The droid said, setting two glasses down before pouring them full of wine.

"Thanks." Scuros said.

He drank a bit to calm his nerves. The droid returned to the kitchen to cook.

"My home has essentially been my ship which happens to be landside on Dromund Kaas. It is interesting how some things have changed in the galaxy and others have not. War appears to be a constant."

Nodding when he offered for her to pick out something else to wear, Sulen would see about getting the tear repaired on the sleeve of her uniform. She stood up and returned to the small room where the clothing had been.

Looking through the various items, Sulen knew she would have to get more of her own. For now though, she found a simple t-shirt and put that on after taking off her torn uniform shirt. Keeping her pants on though, she returned to Scuros a few minutes later.

"Thank you again, I'll make sure this gets put back."

While she had been gone, he had requested his droid to make dinner and missed the conversation between the two of them. The droid was just returning with the wine when she did and she accepted the glass it poured for her.

Taking a seat on the couch, Sulen took a sip of the drink and set the glass down on the table in front of her.

"I fear war will always exist so long as the Jedi do. The Sith want to bring peace, but the Jedi always stop us because they don't like the way we go about it. And so we fight on." Scuros said as Sulen got up to look for a new shirt.

He thought about how she said times had changed. They had, in her day aliens were lagely not allowed in the empire and now she was going to be working with an alien Sith.

"Yeah, don't mention it. That shirt looks nice on you. You can keep it, I'm not going to wear it."

The proxy-droid returned with two plates of spaghetti, setting them down in front of the two along with silverware and parmesan cheese.

Scuros turned to Sulen, "Ooh! I have an idea. Do you want to play a drinking game? Every time the movie says 'Sith', 'Jedi, 'Empire', or 'Republic' you drink. If you think you'll hurl you can stop. You don't want to die haha."

He thought about it and realized they needed something stronger than wine, "Thanks, Prox. Looks good. Can you get us some whiskey too?"

"No problem, master. I'll be right back." The droid said as he went back into the kitchen. He would leave the wine.

"So, Dee, what did you think of your first battle?" Scuros said, just trying to make conversation.

Proxy came back with a bottle of whiskey and two shot glasses. He set them down on the table in front of Sulen and Scuros.

"Thanks again, Proxy. You can go back to what you were doing."

Prox poured the first of both their shots before bowing to them both and walking back into the trophy room of the ship to charge himself.

The movie played in the background, "We start with the SITH lord Exar Kun and his EMPIRE. . ."

"Really now." The Chiss said acting surprised. He takes a shot before filling the little glass back up again and taking another.

There was something wrong with what Scuros said. Sulen wasn't sure just what it was, but then he asked what she thought of her first battle. Anything else was almost lost as something happened. She extended a hand palm facing upward and held flat.

The Force filled her and her eyes were mere slits. On the palm of her hand were illusionary images. Not just any though. They showed her as a young girl training with the then Jedi on Yavin. Like a slide show, these images showed her growing up, her friendship with Brakkus and slow fall to the dark. The fight on Voss was not her first and these memories showed that.

As she aged in the images, it was clear to Scuros if he was watching what happened. The death of her friend, return to her home on Artus Prime and the death of her parents. Then the memories changed and it showed her moving away from being one of a Force User to that of a military mind. They showed her years as a teen working her way through school and joining the then Empire. The last thing her memory vision showed was her climbing into the stasis casket.

When the vision was done, her hand lowered and her eyes opened. Bereft of the Force again, she looked at Scuros in slight confusion. His other comments came into her mind and she looked down at her shirt and nodded. Almost without thinking of the game he suggested playing, she grabbed the shot glass that was hers and downed the shot.

"I'll drink you under the table."

Scuros looked as she stretched out her hand, "What're you doing?"

He watched her life unfold before his eyes, with a look of amazement on his face. When the display was done Sulen looked as confused as he did.

"What was that? Did I just see your whole life? How did you do that?"

After watching her memories Scuros was surprised to see all the places she'd been and things she'd seen. He now understood Sulen better and felt closer to her, now that he knew her past. He also realized that Voss wasn't her first battle and was surprised to learn she really was over 800 years old. Apart of him had previously believed her, though for the most part he thought it impossible, but now he knew she was telling the truth.

"I guess you weren't lying about your age. I didn't know it was possible."

She said she would drink him under the table and he just laughed before saying, "You will try."

The narrator on the documentary in the background said, "Exar Kun was once a JEDI, but was slowly corrupted by the SITH lord, Freedon Nadd. . ."

Scuros picked up the whiskey bottle then filled and emptied his shot glass twice. It burned going down and he shook his head. After putting the bottle back down the Chiss leaned far back in the couch. He was leaned over to the side a bit toward Sulen as well without noticing.

"Oh crink, I'm drunk. I know because this movie seems waaay better than the last time I watched it."

[member="Sulen Dewan"]

"That was all the important details in my life, I think. What would be the purpose of lying about something? I'm sure you could have found a way to learn the truth of things if I did. But what it showed...means I can use the Force and did it then. Why can't I now?"

A bit of a cocky half grin came across her face when he said she would try to drink him under the table. And proceeded to take two shots along with some food when the narrator said those two words.

"Drunk already? Man I will drink you under the table. I'm hardly feeling a thing."

As for the movie this was a chance for her catch up on somethings. This was ancient history and stuff she already knew.

"Any way to fast forward it to cover only the last 800 years? Less drinking for you which means you won't get as drunk as quickly."

After taking another few bites of her food, Sulen sat back and also leaned in closer to Scuros.

[member="Darth Scuros"]

"I mean it's not really that I thought you were lying so much as it didn't make sense. Ya' know, usually that's not a common thing, being in stasis for 800 years."

Scuros thought about what she said and how she was unable to command the force, "Well the first reason it's not working right is you're drunk, but I know that's not what you meant. You probably just need to be retaught how to use it. I can teach you how to command the force again if you want."

Sulen would tease Scuros about being drunk already and he would say back, "Hey the only reason I'm so drunk is because I've been fighting Jedi, pretty much non-stop lately and my tolerance has gone down. It's not fair."

She would ask him to skip over some parts of the movie, "Huh. Oh, yeah sure. I just want to watch the part where Revan is corrupted first."

Scuros fast-forwarded the movie a bit to show the part he wanted to see. The narrator spoke, "At the end of the Mandalorian Wars, Mandalore, the Ultimate confessed he was working with a red-skinned SITH. Revan and Malak would quickly travel to the Unknown Regions in search of this Dark Lord. After a time of searching they found the capital planet of the SITH EMPIRE, Dromund Kaas and confronted the Emperor in Kaas City. However the SITH Emperor knew they were coming and manipulated their minds to serve him. They would now be known as Darth Revan and Darth Malak."

The movie would show awesome graphics and action sequences along with the narrator's story telling.

Upon hearing the movie say the magic words Scuros filled up Sulen's glass and then his before speaking, "I love that part. . . Chit, that's going to be four shots. We're going to die tonight."

When the scene was done playing the Sith pushed the skip forward button a few times until the movie started playing again, showing events that took place in history shortly after the Battle of Endor.

Scuros took the shot down before filling both of their glasses three more times and taking three more shots. The Chiss finally noticed how close he was leaning over toward Sulen. He was about to move away, but then she leaned in closer as well and he changed his mind. He liked her, even more now after seeing deep into her past.

"You know, this might be the whiskey talking, but I think you're really pretty." Scuros said as he looked at Sulen.

He didn't mean to say this, but the alcohol was talking now. It's not that he didn't mean what he said, but he thought maybe he shouldn't have said it.

"If somebody told me the same story, I would feel the same."

When he said his tolerance was lowered because he had been out fighting, Sulen chuckled a little and nodded. What had happened before they met on Commenor, she didn't know, but on Voss she did. Having been at his side the whole time.

"You know I don't think we're going to get the movie finished before we both pass out drunk."

He did do as she asked though and brought the movie up to a point in its history that took place almost within her lifetime. It talked about the fall of the EMPIRE caused by the REPUBLIC. The end of the SITH and founding of the new JEDI legacy. Drunk or not, Sulen paid as much attention as she could at least until Scuros commented he found her pretty.

"I for one would rather be less drunk after hearing that."

An opportunity presented itself and she took it. Looking in his eyes she saw a future there with them together. Not just working on missions, but knowing each other on a far deeper level.

Lifting a hand, she would gently run her fingers through his hair above his eyes if he allowed it.

"You are good looking too and that's not the drink talking, Scuros. This is all me."

Taking a hold of one of his hands with the hand that had been going through his hair, she raised it to rest just above her heart.

"I think our little adventure has broken something within me and I want to explore that far more than history."

[member="Darth Scuros"]

"I don't think so either. I'll turn it off, I've seen it too many times anyway." Darth Scuros said as he clicked a button on the table to turn off the hologram.

Before he could turn the movie off the narrator said the words again four more times.

"Ah, crink it." The Sith said.

He was tired of pouring shots and so just took a big sip from the bottle before passing it to Sulen.

"Why?" The Chiss asked after Sulen said she wished she wasn't drunk.

Next thing he knew she was running her fingers through his hair. His heart began racing as she did this and he thought about the moment they shared on Voss.

"Thank you. Most Chiss are. By the way I was just saying the drink was talking in case you didn't feel the same way. I pretty much realized I liked you after you got shot in the woods and I actually felt sad at the thought of your death.

She put his hand on her heart and his almost had an attack. He could feel that her heart was racing as well. Scuros decided to move in closer to Sulen and give her a long kiss on the lips. He would pull away afterwards and look her in the eyes.

"Sometime I would like to finish it though. I mean, it'll help me get caught up on history."

It wasn't totally the drink that spoke for Sulen. Accepting the drink from Scuros, Sulen took the four drinks from it, wiped her mouth and set the bottle down. She chuckled a little when he said most chiss were good looking.

"One is enough for me."

She was fairly certain of her feelings. Time would take them to fully develop and for her to change entirely from her old life. It was a new era and she needed to adjust to it. There was now a need within both of them.

The kiss was not at all surprising, but the passion it contained and held was. It was not something Sulen was prepared for and she was surprised. Letting out a more of a mental sigh, she suddenly felt quite content and happy for the first time since waking up. It probably took her a few moments longer to open her eyes after the kiss ended.

"I think it is time to call it a night..."

[member="Darth Scuros"]

Scuros smiled when she said one Chiss was enough for her. When she accepted the first kiss he gave her another on the lips and then another on the neck.

Sulen said they should call it a night and Scuros agreed, "I'll get the light and we can 'sleep' on this couch."

The chiss pushed a button on the table and the lights in the room went out leaving only darkness. The only things that could be seen were Scuros' glowing, red eyes. The two of them would sleep on the couch together that night and when they eventually woke up they would be extremely hungover and might not remember what had happened.

[member="Sulen Dewan"]

The night passed in the haze of drink and darkness. Both of them needed this change of pace and instead of violent and bloodshed, they shared passion. This was not yet love on the part of either, but pure need.

When the morning came, since they were on his ship, there was nothing to say if it was day or night and Sulen's eyes opened to the darkness of the lounge they had slept in.

An actual smile curled the corner of her lips as she gazed at Scuros and hoped he wasn't aware enough yet to see that small sign of weakness within her. She had hardened herself before and yet now she found herself suddenly not quite so firm. What future was between them she didn't know, but she knew she wasn't going to be alone and he wouldn't either.
