For me, every character has a tracklist or set of songs. For instance, I've been main writing this account for some time and will listen to
this. So when I'm making a Reverance post, I put on my noise canceling headphones and listen to a particular track on
repeat for ten or more minutes to get into that characters mind or sick sort of point of view. It becomes more and more of an issue because I have a standard that I go by, my characters are so diametrically opposed, and particularly with Reverance, its a stream of consciousness that often follows a metric. Some times it comes very easy, some times it doesn't.
And I'm by no means saying that I have a better style of writing than other people, but I do have a different style. And with Reverance, its extremely visceral and sometimes taxing. So to get my muse, I listen to music and I keep mental note of songs. This one makes me think of Gabe, this one Rev, this one Akatan, so on and so forth.
