It serves two purposes. If I allow my stay in a body too long, my own spirit set..takes to root in the current temple, entrapping me and i then succumb to mortality. The body ages and dies...and i along with it.
I must switch bodies to survive. And those bodies must also not be set. They must still be developing inside and out. that means the soul I devour to take their bodies must be sweet...not to spoiled.

Then there is the allure of a young body which easily can move about with little suspicion. And can much more readily get closer to victims as young bodies are not seen as threatening. That and it is much easier to attract other sweet souls of same age, as it is easier to win their trust..their friendship so to speak. But they are not my true friends, as they think they are mine. It's simply no different than having sheep grazing alongside a shepherd. The sheep trust the shepherd. And the shepherd waits till the sheep are ripe for the slaughter.

It's one of many ways I can explain it.

This is what I speak of when I say that souls occupying a body for too long become set....like set in the host's ways. This is you [member="Skye Achlys"] , you hear what I say but do not understand and keep making the wrong assumptions.

The deWinter bloodline I have known for nearly a Millennia. ..ok, 850 years now.
I know what potentially can be germinated from a deWinter with the right nurturing.
Frankly, it is no different when a sith master looks for and grooms an apprentice. This has been going on in our galaxy since it's inception. I am no more a predator than the countless force users out there. Just because you have just met the likes of one which has existed for ages but undiscovered by your person before doesn't mean it is unnatural.

I am no sheep, and therefore am simply suspicious, seeing whether you stay with a saying or statement, or merely change them on the go.

The sheep and the shepherd relate to mortals that I prey on. They are non-force users or very underdeveloped force sensitivity. To many midicloreans in the host make the soul unappetizing.

Hmm..feeling full somewhat. Perhaps it will be time soon enogh as the hour draws near to depart these halls and get to writing my bio. Wonderful and not so wonderful ideas that I have experimented with.

But in truth, this charrie has been a sith in hiding. Hiding from the spirit of her sith mother who wishes to posses her. It is how her story has been playing on other realms for many years and will bring her here.
like I said, it may be a total different sith that you interact with in the stories. These here threads are but rehearsals...a try-out so to speak.

If you've had nearly a millenia of knowing my bloodline, you've had at least that long to explore the Force and sharpen your skills with it. My mother or grandmother ever changed their host bodies, they are still in the ones they were born to. Even Bodicea found a way to preserve her body and she's about 6 generations past.
