April 1st 2014. Connor's birthday on Chaos. Rather apt, April Fools Day. I didn't think of that.
Connor was my 3rd (2nd proper) character on Chaos after 1 failure and 1 Sith; he was made to be my Jedi.
I always use characters from films as imagery so I can make them as real as possible, get a wealth of imagery to tell their story and profile, and have a foundation to work on. I chose Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan from 'Star Trek Into Darkness' which came out in 2013 as I was transfixed by his appearance and vocal work in the trailers before I saw him in action.
He looked dangerous, but also brave. He sounded evil, but also in command. He was a perfect blend of what could be a brilliant Jedi, but hiding many demons inside, so I moved Cumberbatch to the Star Wars universe with the Khan template and built Connor from there.
This teaser really sold it to me. I could imagine him speaking just like Khan - almost like a tiger, growling these words and ideas to you before striking without you ever seeing the attack. His power, his confidence and even the way he looks in this teaser screamed Jedi to me. Jedi, with a hidden danger to him.

His journey started a little bumpy as I found his style; was he immature and anxious, or hot-headed and eager to succeed? Eventually he found his place thanks to certain writers here with the Silver Jedi Order and from there, the rest is history.
Recently he was in danger of becoming something I didn't want - a villain. He was, and is, my Light Sider and no matter what he does or how he does it, he will always stay on that line, never cross it. Thankfully I'm trying to siphon my "villain" writing into a new character to embody that, so Connor is still my Jedi and I look forward to seeing where he goes from here!
