Humble Beginnings

[member="Bond"]

Nassus listened intently as his Master spoke about the Ysalmiri, and about Force Body.

"Is there anyway to make Force Body a little more... potent? Like, if I wanted it to make me even stronger?"

"I imagine that there are plenty of holocrons out there on the subject. We might just need to go hunting for them. I've been meaning to look for more holocrons for myself, anyway. I might seem out of your league, but I'm only really good with the 'sound' and lightning powers of the Force."

I leaned back, and lounged again.

"A holocron itself is just a freestanding, usually handheld, block of stone or metal. Usually they're built by Force-Users, but there's been exceptions."

I shifted, and put my hands behind my head.

"It's what's in the holocron that makes it special. It could be anything from a love letter to a detailed description of a certain Force power."

A short, thin, cloaked figure walks over to the two beings. Loud, Ominous foot steps echo through the corridor. A deep red glow emits from the cowl of the caped figure. Slowly, the boy removes the cowl, revealing his tattooed, white face. His small still underdeveloped horns as well.

The source of the glow was his eyes. Ah, the Zabaraks known for eating strictly meat and having creepy, glowing eyes. Without saying anything, the boy looms over to the corner of the room and leans against the wall with both arms folded.

I looked over at the door, and saw a young Zabrak. Why was he here?

"Ah, Larkhoon, you're here. This is my apprentice, Nassus. Did you need something from me?"

I continued lounging in my chair, with my custom-made boots up on the table.

"I don't believe I know your Master, youngling."

Nassus stares at the new arrival, somewhat confused, but otherwise stays silent. He shifts slightly in his seat, reaching for another piece of candy. He shoves it under his mask, and continues to stare at the Zabrak.

The child remains silent for a second, as he shuts his eyes to feel his surroundings through the force. Two beings before him with incredible force signatures. Only one had more power. A small, soft sigh leaves his mouth, as he reveals his crimson pupils.

"I have no master..." -Larkoon's cool and eerie voice echoed through the area.

The short zabarak begins walking back and forth with both hands behind his back.

"I require a master....Are you a master...?" Asked the child acolyte.

I looked at the Zabrak kid, who was now upside-down from my viewpoint on the chair.

"Gladly. I have a feeling you'll get along great. I do hope you lighten up later, though. You seem awfully grim."

I looked over at Nassus.

"My other apprentice will be overjoyed to have a couple of friends around. Apparently, I'm strange."

Nassus looks up at his master, cocking his head. "I never called you strange... I never did thank you for the candy."

I looked up, and made a sort of noncommittal gesture with my hand.

"No problem... And I wasn't referring to you, my boy. You haven't met my other apprentice, [member='Maddy']... She'd probably be interested to meet you two."

"I see." Nassus turns his attention to the Zabrak. Nassus thought to himself for a bit. 'He's young, but he was almost sure thats how most Sith started out.'

"If you don't mind my asking, what is your name?" He was still facing the Zabrak when he said this.

Lars presses his fingers upon his chin, while raising a brow. Being tense? The boy was utterly confused. Though this isn't the first time he's been told this, Larkoon could not understand why he gave such a dark aura.

"I am sorry...My life has been filled with battle...As per training, I've been taught to always be ready..." His hand drops from his chin and to his side, upon his archaic saber hilt on his hip.

The boy's gaze remained off of both beings in the room.

I nodded, understanding. I'd never had formal training here, because I didn't have a master.

"I understand Larkhoon... but I don't agree. If there's no actual chance of a fight coming, you shouldn't stand there like you're gonna kill somebody. There's no reason to. You're gonna be with us for a while. Just relax."

The child looks away with doubt. A certain darkside giant taught him as a sith, battle is prone to pull you in. The last harsh training method he gave saw fit to doing that. Larkoon looks to [member="Bond"] with his icy, daggering gaze.

"I assure you, I am as calm as I usually am..."The boy gives a soft but eerie smile. He removes his cape, revealing soldier slacks with a belt filled with assorted survival gear filled in it. His saber hilt dangles on the left side of his hit as he begins to fold his cape up.

Sad thing is, Larkoon isn't even lying.

Being trained since he could walk also didn't help with his attitude.

"Is their a place that I can sit this..?"

Nassus eyed Larkoon cautiously, narrowing his eyes beneath his mask. He thought this one to be another novice such as himself, but now he was obviously wrong.

He idly toyed with his vibroblade's hilt, turning his attention almost completely towards it. Out of the corner of his eye, though, he still watched the Zabrak.

I looked at the morose Zabrak kid, and sighed metallically.

"This is gonna take some work. That bloody Gen'Dai did a number on you."

I kicked the nearest chair into the air, and then stopped it right above, and next to Larkhoon with a wave of my metal fingers.

"And put the glare away, kid. You ain't scaring anyone."

The boy places his hand over his mouth and chin, while looking away. Damn, he did it again. Larkoon shuts his eyes and drops his hand to the sides. "I am sorry...But this is how I usually look...."

Lars walks over to a chair and sits in it with both his arms folded.

"I assure you....I mean no harm...."
