"This is the only way we can do business, Jarbal?"

The corpulent Hutt that faced Molukhai from the other end of the room nodded solmenly, before a low, bassy chuckle came from his lips. When he had been given this assignment, he was quietly ecstatic. Not only was it a chance to escape Sith space for a while, but at the very least he would gain some..experience. Mainly however, he was after one thing, even before establishing a network of contacts.

The Holocron. He was still hunting it down, and if what he heard was right, it would actually be somewhat near his assignment. But that was a while away, now. This was a long-term assignment, and he would have to spend a while reporting in to an Overseer. He could think of few things more irritating. Speaking again in his rather fluent Huttese, Molukhai had a curt tone. "Very well."

Leaving the complex of Jarbal the Hutt, Molukhai had to plan his next move. He had been surprised by his visit to Jarbal. The Hutt was usually on top of things; after all, information was his game. Despite that, the Acolyte had managed to cover his tracks well enough that he didn't know of any Sith affiliation - at least, not at the level he was actually at. How curious.

Stepping into one of the many seedy bars dotting the Smuggler's moon, Molukhai took a booth, ordered a drink and then just began to simply listen. To the people around him, focusing on the force. He wasn't just picking up conversation, but trying to feel the people and their connections through them. This was place was bloated, humid and crowded, like being trapped beneath some kind of warm plastic.

The perfect place to start.

Some places truly didn't deserve to exist.

Nar Shaddaa, Zorya felt, was definitely topping her list.

Every new planet she visited only seemed to reinforce that feeling in her mind, every jump out of Talravini space reminding her that this strange galaxy was amock with degeneracy and vapidity. But, still, curiosity drove her onward in the latest iteration of her pilgrimage. Even a dumpster could be more useful beyond a place for the trash. The noise, the raging partying and the criminality of this planet made Zorya's skin crawl as a bringer of justice. A lesser-known part of her, though, greedily danced along to the sinful tune.

She glowered at the crowd of the bar she'd chosen to rest in upon that thought entering her brain again. How terribly conflicting. It was in this moment of quiet reflection that someone-- A cobalt-coloured male Twi'lek, dressed rather greasily and swaying slightly --set a drink down in front of Zorya, a bright purple concoction smelling of sweet fruit. Zorya's hardening gaze flicked up and the merrygoer grinned in response, "Y'looked thirsty. What's a place like you doin' in a girl like this, eh?"

Oh, feth. Stifling a bout of laughter at his fumble of words, she reached out to grab the offered refreshment from where it sat. Long freckled fingers wrapped around the stem and she forced a smile up at the drunkard, "Just a Talravin Knight who has little interest in alcohol. Thanks, though." Rather unceremoniously, she dropped the glass on the Twi'lek's foot. It shattered instantly and the would-be courter hissed from the sharp pain he'd have felt, scowling at her and hobbling away in disgrace, shoe dripping with drink and leaving a little trail of the fruity liquid. A couple other patrons glanced over at the sound of glass shattering, and eventually, a small droid would whizz on over to start cleaning up the mess, equipped with a small dustpan and brush.

Mulokhai's eyes shot oepn at sudden noise. As his fingers stayed intertwined on the table in front of him, the bright yellow orbs darted over to see a drinking glass smash all over a Twi'lek's toes. A smirk crossed the Sith's face, not just because of the amusing situation he saw, but the opportunity that was written all over it. He saw it almost immediately, the connection made. He supposed this listening thing was a good idea after all.

"Odd place for someone with little interest in alcohol, isn't it?" He had stepped up alongside her at the bar, glancing down at the purple liquid on the floor, which was being sweeped up along with the remains of the glass. Well, no wonder she'd reacted that way, if that was all she was being offered.

Mulokhai stayed where he was, having brought his drink with him. He tapped one of his fingers against the side of the glass, glancing down at it before he took a drink of it, his gaze still staying firmly on the woman no matter where his eyes were actually looking. "And for a Knight, too. Isn't a very noble moon you're on."

If nothing else, people did always enjoy a statement of the obvious. Well, one that showed they were being paid attention to. He had a certain swagger about him, the same smuggler's charm you found on Corellia or in certain individuals around Hutt Space. It wasn't really something intrinsic; he had grown up in this world, so it was easy for him to be that way. Especially when it came to getting something he wanted. Like an easier pass into the Core Worlds, potentially.

"Mulokhai, by the way." He made sure to look as though he'd just forgotten to introduce himself first. All the words, tones and the little movements were secretly meticulous, planned and prepared. Nothing made that obvious, they weren't robotic - simply trained.

"I'm here for the food," Zorya replied to the new face, her eyes nonchalantly sweeping over his crimson skin and criminal charm with little regard or affection for either, "And perhaps the experience. Zorya. What would someone like you know of Knighthood?"

It was a thinly veiled test, one that the Twi'lek had failed before he had even opened his mouth to speak, before he'd even made his way over. Something about the way this red one carried himself gave her a bit more hope for his chances-- Disregarding that 'smuggler swagger', of course --but it was an air about him that seemed to suggest there was more there than just another gutter rat. And she could appreciate someone who composed themselves appropriately as well. An opportunity was indeed in the air.

The small droid let out an affirmative blip noise before passing around Mulokhai's boots, off to the next mess already being created in the locale. Gently tracing her fingers in a lopsided circle on the dull machined surface of the table she was seated at, waiting for his reply to her question with obscured interest.

Mulokhai scoffed when she mentioned she was here for the food. As though that was ever an attractive part of a place like this. No, a place like this attracted those who wanted opportunity, credits or were curious how those on the fringes lived. Pompous aristocrats or clueless tourists from the Core Worlds, but now and again from there came someone very...interesting. Someone who could be of great use to him.

"Haven't met many knights. I suppose a Knight should be loyal, brave. Always knowing that they're representing whatever they're sworn to. Sometimes, they're interested in prestige. Making some glory for themselves, and the people back home as well in the process. Does that sound like you?"

His eyes now darted right back towards her, staring out of curiosity. He was keeping his own presence in the force dulled rather well now; not hiding it, but simply seeming...unrefined, untrained. Perhaps someone who had discovered his talent and practiced a bit with it now and again, but nothing formal, of course.

"If it does, I might have something that interests you. Wouldn't just be the glory, of course. There's credits, if that's your thing. That, and...well, protecting your homeworld. Talravin, right?"

He gave a smile, and a predatory look flickered in his eyes for just a moment, as he considered the prey he had to deal with. The questions were simply to pique her interest - to see if she would push the conversation along or if she would pull away, but she didn't seem the timid sort. Then again, who could say?

At the mention of protecting a certain world, Zorya's attention shifted. Like a rug being pulled out from under her feet. Something deeper flicked behind her once uncaring gaze and she raised an eyebrow at the red man, a suitable level of intrigue written all over her face/ Hook, line, sinner, "It sounds like you have a proposition of some kind in mind. I'm not sure if that's wise, seeing as I've only just met you. How do I know you're trustworthy?" And what does Talravin mean to you?

That last question was silent but written all over her face. His previous answer had been satisfactory, at least enough to prove he had more brain cells than an Akk Dog, but there was still something about this Mulokhai that made her hairs stand on end. That prompted a warning from her subconscious mind, of seductive power and all the trouble it brought. Finally, after a heartbeat or two of silence, the knight gestured vaguely with her head and hand -- Offering him a seat across from her, so that they might continue in a more civilized manner. The power dynamic of him looming over her with cryptic remarks had gone on long enough. Time to speak one on one, on the same level.

Mulokhai gave a short nod as Zorya made her offer, sitting down across from her. He leaned back casually in the seat, an obviously relaxed and comfortable posture as a small smile kept in position, decorating his face. The bright yellow eyes never looked away from Zorya, as the Sith found eye contact made these conversations much easier, even if it could be a bit intense for most.

"Don't trust anyone on Nar Shaddaa, Zorya." The comment was spoken in a gentle tone, yet there was a feeling of frankness and almost an insidious flavour to it as it rolled off the Acolyte's tongue. His smile grew a bit wider as he meticulously considered his words. "There's a Nikto here. Not in this bar, but nearby. A Morgukai. They're incredible warriors. And ruthless killers. The one I'm talking about, a nasty one called Blackhound, won't be staying here long."

The Sith slowly leaned forward, his face now much closer as his fingers wrapped together, his hands staying in a rested position on the table between the two, though it suddenly felt much smaller now. "He hasn't left yet. Someone stole his navicomputer, ripped it right out of his ship. And looked at his planned route. He received an advance payment for a kill order, from an account I tracked to some Thyrsians, connected to a group called The Golden Company. He's going to go up the Mara Corridor and the Corellian Run. But then all of a sudden, he's going to stop at Talravin and make a jump to Wukkar before heading out of Alliance territory."

Mulokhai's fingers tightened around each other, his stare refusing to break away as he let the information process before he spoke again. "Does any of that say anything to you?" Although he gave information...he wanted to let her think about it first, make conclusions on it. More than anything, he was curious what she would think - of Thyrsians, who naturally disliked matriarchy sending money to a killer heading to her homeworld. True, the...circumstances were not exactly as what he implied, but he only did that. Implied.

"I believe I understand."

Zorya had taken what he'd said, ran with it, and probably already blown it out of proportion. But what Mulokhai said definitely deserved a follow-up. She would be neglecting her duty if she didn't, especially due to what it appeared to be. Exhaling loudly, she rubbed her forehead with the back of her hand and nodded, "Where is this Blackhound, then?" What she didn't say spoke volumes. Mainly, that she was on board, at least for now, with whatever plan he was concocting. Her other hand coiled around the hilt of her sheathed blade, working her lips together in thought, "And what do you intend to do with him?"

It was clear that Zorya had some ideas already.

Mulokhai, although holding for but a moment, relented. The Acolyte leaned back, sitting more properly in his seat as he kept his fingers wrapped together as he watched the Talravani seem to think over what he'd said. He tapped his fingers together for a moment, a deceptively warm smile on his face as he answered her question.

"He's in the backroom of the Klatoo Klub, in the old Nikto sector." His bright eyes still continued to stare right back at hers, as though he was trying to look past her at something else, like he was trying to examine her soul. The eyes darted away for a moment at what he spoke next. "Talk to him in a civil manner. Ask him about his target. Then, kill him. Maybe I can bring proof of his death to the potential target, after Jarbal sees it. I need friends in somewhere that isn't the Outer Rim and Hutt slime pits. That, and credits. Maybe those too."

Mulokhai chuckled at his own statement, the predatory smile still written across his face. The plan he seemed to have charted out was believable, but most importantly was practical. Exactly the kind of thing a man like him, or at least the man he seemed to be, would come up with.

Zorya's eyes narrowed slightly. Her honour did demand the death of those seeking to harm the monarchy, true, but there was no proof beyond this sweet-talking man's word. That didn't set well with her, but, well...

Would anyone on this rock really miss this guy if he wasn't guilty?

It was a dark line of thought. One she was still entertaining. Sighing, the Knight inclined her head a bit, voice soft and purposeful, "Then I suppose we could be allies. For the moment. Until the danger passes." Things felt too convenient. The odds of this all occuring now were far too high for her liking, and her fingers tapped rapidly on the hilt of her sword in a nervous manner. Nodding a few times to herself, she locked eyes with Mulokhai with determination behind them, "And where will I meet you after this is done?"

Mulokhai gave another polite nod, the smile still splashed across his face as the crimson-skinned man leaned back a bit more comfortably in his seat, glancing up as he seemed to consider what to do from here. "The spaceport may be for the best. Most Morgukai operate with some sort of clan, or cult. Get confirmation some sort of proof of the kill, then we can meet there. If you don't have your own ship, I can give you transport to Talravin. I will have to take credit for putting you on the trail, anyway."

The Sith remained still, his eyes seeming to stare a hole through her now as he was looking past her, staring at the prize he saw in the distance, what he wanted more than anything at the end of this road. What would grant him what he wanted. As he focused on the force, he felt something from her, a stirring. Was it her combat ability? Fearlessness? Or...a connection, perhaps? Something more than just natural talent.

"I appreciate the help with this. I'm a decent shot with a blaster, but...guys like that are more out of my league. I was trying to come up with some kind of plan earlier, didn't expect to find someone like you." It was partly the truth. She was a happy circumstance, and he hadn't expected someone of her obvious capability here, appeals to her ego aside.
