I Am Your God Now [Korriban - Sith Empire]

Darth Vulcanus

Better than other-other space Kaiden
(With OOC permission from Kaine)
With Emperor Kaine captured the Sith had no leadership and that was both very good and very bad for Krag. Good because, with Kaine gone, Krag would have no problem ascending to the throne. However, it was bad because even with Krag leading the Empire it wouldn't guarantee that the Sith would work together long enough to distract the Republic from noticing the mass exodus of the Graug from Gratos. The Empire was falling and it was falling quickly, but Krag would not roll over and run into the shadows until the last battle had been fought. Kaine could do as he chose, but Krag was a warrior and that meant he would fight the war until there was no longer a war to be fought.

With Dramund Kaas a battleground, and most likely lost to the Mandolorians, Krag decided that he needed to move all political power to Korriban. Of course, none of this was official yet as Krag had yet to proclaim himself Emperor. Regardless, this was the Graug's plan and his confidence in it showed as he marched into the Sith Academy on Korriban with a troop of Graug warriors thundering behind him. Storming through the front doors of the academy, Krag sneered at all the present Sith as he and his army of Graug began to flood every room. The average soldiers dared not to try and stop him, as they feared the power of the Sith Master and his reputation for brutality when angered.

Even so, a Sith officer quickly ran up to the Sith, "Lord Krag, what is the meaning of this? Emperor Kaine will be most displea-

"Emperor Kaine is being replaced" Krag snarled, not stopping his stride towards the stairs that would lead him to the throne room at the peak of the academy, "I am commandeering the academy to serve as my new palace."

The Sith Officer looked shocked and began to protest, "Lord Krag, I can't allow you to just do this! Shorn is the god of the Empire and I think that he should choose the next-

Without warning, Krag shot his claws forward and gripped the officer's throat tightly. Lifting the officer up off the ground, his razor sharp claws tearing through his flesh, Krag growled "I am your God now." throwing the officer down the steps, Krag continued up to the throne room.

The walk was long, but Krag soon arrived and found the throne room vacant. Marching up to the chair, Krag's Horde Guard took their positions on either side of the entrance to the throne room as the Graug Master thundered to what would serve as the new seat of Sith power. Krag's pace slowed as the full realization of the situation made itself apparent in his mind and a rush of adrenaline pulsed through his body. Sitting down slowly, Krag stroked the control panel of the seat before clicking a button that activated a small prob droid that descended down from a hole in the ceiling. The prob droid was meant to send communications to other systems and Krag would use it to state his new position to the Empire.

As the prob droid zoomed in on Krag, every Sith world still under the Empire's control would receive his message and his face would appear across every screen.

"Subjects of the Empire and all Republic scum listening, I am Imperial Krag of the Graug! Emperor Kaine has faded into the shadows of his own weakness and I have taken his place to restore true strength to the Empire! I proclaim myself Darth Vulcanus, Dark Lord of the Sith and ultimate warlord of the Empire! The weak will scurry from my presence and the darkness of my shadow will engulf the galaxy, the strong will enslave the weak who will build monuments in the name of their rulers! Coruscant shall be razed to the ground and the heads of Imperial Knights will be sent to Bastion upon pallets! The Empire shall be strong!"

He felt the presence of the Sith Master who was widely known as Krag. His army of Graug thundered through the halls. They entered training rooms, practically announcing the presence of the Krag. Arvis, not the one to let himself be left in the dark on purpose, left the training rooms to follow a few of the graugs who he figured would bring him to the Krag. Whether or not they did, he knew where the Sith Master was. Why else would he be on Korriban? To over watch the training of the Empire's acolytes? No.

Entering the throne room, he listened to the speech that the Sith Master delivered. He was what the Sith Emperor should be. Powerful, he sensed his power even from the edge of the room. It was amazing to bathe in such power. He waited before the now, proclaimed Darth Vulcanus finished his speech before he knelt at the foot of the throne in front of him.

"What do you command, Darth Vulcanus?" He looked up to look at the Emperor. He would have to do the best he could if he wanted to live and rise in the hierachy of the Sith.

In Umbris Potestas Est
DZU'ARI, CONFLICT WITH REPUBLIC CONVOY

"That's the last of them, sir." An ensign on the bridge of the Star Battlecruiser officially notified the Grand Admiral of the Empire that the last of the convoy ships had been destroyed. The Imperial navy had been performing at its breaking point, recently. The Supreme Commander of the Navy had ordered constant attacks on Republic convoys, and with the exceptional firepower of the Dzu'ari - not to mention the other heavy warships in the Imperial navy - no convoys had successfully made it to Dromund Kaas, Republic or Mandalorian, and the lack of supplies would definitely be hurting Larraq's fleet and ground troops as they ran out of blaster packs, tibanna gas, and other vital resources needed for continued warfare with the Sith who remained in system.

Then the holomessage began. Bosch sighed - more Sith rhetoric. It was the utter incompetence of Sith military decisions that allowed these three galactic powers to make their move on the Empire to begin with. And it was Kaine's turn to deal with the situation. The Dzu'ari and a supermajority of the Imperial navy was crewed by personnel who were more loyal to him as head of the Navy than to the Sith. Sith were never included as a part of the vessels' retinue, and the marines on board such vessels were, again, loyal to Bosch.

"Set a course for Korriban."

Krag looked down to the Sith Apprentice, who was bowing in respect before his new overlord. Krag snorted, his sharp claws tapping away at the armrest of the throne as he thought over what the Empire's next move should be. They needed to strike at the Jedi quickly and the Mandoloarians were also in severe need of a cleansing fire, the Sith would need to muster every available resource. "Apprentice, go forth and send a message throughout the academy. All Sith initiates and apprentices are to report for deployment immediately." turning to one of academy's many overseers, Krag issued another order, "Send a transmission to all Sith slave planets, I want the immediate formation of a slave army. Whip them, maim them, threaten their families make them fear the punishment of disobeying more than the comfort of the enemy's blades. Any slaves who are unfit for duty are to be put down immediately."

The overseer bowed, "It will be done, Emperor Vulcanus." and then he was off

Nick was on Korriban at the time, resting and restocking before his next mission. What he hadn't been expecting was the announcement of Kaine's capture..... Well, maybe he was. He thought very little of Kaine, and served him begrudgingly, with zero respect. But what he hadn't expected was the sudden announcement from Krag.... That he was taking over as Emperor.

A wide smile crossed the face of the Sith Knight as he headed to where he knew Krag would likely be... He knew and respected Krag, and had hoped that someone such as him would coup the swine known as Kaine sometime soon... And his prayers were answered.

Krag knew him as the mysterious assassin that had appeared before him as they had invaded the Mandalorians... And had assisted him in a duel with Mandalore himself. One of Nick's finer memories as a Sith, for sure. This was an awesome week for him, really. First the exile of that witch, Circe... And now Krag was replacing Kaine. How could it get any better?

"Lord Vulcanus" he said boldly as he entered the room. He flipped his hood up, a smirk crossing the face of the red haired Sith Knight as he walked confidently toward his ally. "Finally, I never thought I would see the day. The Sith Empire welcomes you as our new Emperor"

@[member="Krag"]

He rose from his kneel after a few moments after absorbing his new orders from the Emperor. It was easy, all he would have to do is spread the word to a few places and the people who were informed would do the rest for him.Easy, right?

Once he was on his feet from his kneel, he bowed again to the Emperor and backed out to go and alert several of the classes and the recreational rooms on the way. Arvis, was mainly heading for the training rooms to make sure they in there also knew of what was going on.

"Arm yourselves by the command of the Emperor. Prepare for deployment." He called out into the room, and on his way out he heard somebody respond back. "The Emperor has been captured by the Republic! Who are you to tell us what to do?" The apprentice had called back to him. Arvis turned around slowly to look to the apprentice. "Krag, is now the Sith Emperor. He is known as Darth Vulcanus now! Prepare. For. Deployment." Arvis said, and left the room with his voice echoing in their minds. He wasn't going to be questioned by an apprentice, despite him himself being an apprentice. He had a mission that was given to him from the Emperor himself! He couldn't fail.

As the Apprentice left the room, a Knight that Krag recognized entered. The Knight was Dragonsflame, the brother of the Master who Krag had fought on Ossus, not that Krag knew Joshua's name. "Of course it does, the Empire needs someone of true strength to lead it."

Balaya moved with more haste then she would normally had afforded but when it came down to it this was a surprise. The Apotheosis was in orbit but she wasn't going to question to much while she came to stand facing Krag and spoke. "Emperor" The words were not foreign to her tongue but they were strange to say it to anyone else but Kaine while she continued forward and listened to him ordering the others. The only things that mattered to her were their ultimate goals in the end. "We need to have words." Her feet stopped while Balaya looked around to slightly glare. "You know there is more danger in letting Kaine live, give me a fleet and I will find a way to end him or die trying. All I need is the ships of my choosing and my apprentice. @[member="Eruna Delmarra"]."

Well, somebody had to!

Without worry, nor pause for safety, nor even thought for what the hell she was doing, Kathryn found herself on Korriban... Conveniently just as Krag was making his announcement. His words gave her pause, but then they fueled her with thoughts and aspirations of furthering herself. The strong dominating the weak. The strong. To Kathryn, a Sith was only strong if they proved themself to be. And that only came through one true format - Trial by combat. It was with this in mind that she set off to the location she knew Krag to be at. The throne room.
It didn't take Kathryn long to throw open the doors, and it took less time still for her to place herself in the center of it. It's grand appearance was lost upon here - She had spent much of her life training on this planet, and as a result she had seen these chambers many times over. Yet she knew the symbolism of the location. And she knew what her actions would do... Should she survive them.

"Krag. You once labeled me as weak. Now I would prove to you otherwise!"
Her lightsaber snapped into ignition, the familiar sound of lethal intent humming throughout the chamber. She had no idea if she would survive this. Nor had she any plan if she did. This was simply a test of strength, to see if she could stand against the mightiest of the Sith and survive. It was the truest of tests. If she fell, she would be forgotten to the sands of time. Yet if she survived... And if she layed the Emperor low... Well. What glory. What power.

And so it came to be that Kathryn Dae, the Sith Apprentice, challenged Darth Vulcanus, the Emperor of the Sith Empire to lightsaber combat.

"Indeed, it does" he said. "I do have an inquiry though, Emperor... If I may. About Ossus, and some reports I found while reading things over. I was on Kaas at the time, defending it from the Mandalorians, or I would have been there myself, obviously" - @[member="Krag"]

A laugh escaped Nick at the words of the "Emperor's Bust"

"Ah, how quick you are to turn on your fellow Zambrano" he chided toward the woman. "So loyal you were... So close.... And at the first sight of a new Emperor, suddenly you ask for the opportunity to kill Kaine as if he were nothing more then a knat... How loyal" he said sarcastically. "Or perhaps this is your fool attempt to spring Kaine out and coup the new Emperor right under his nose? You're being a little too easy there, Zambrano... Not that that's new to you" - @[member="Balaya Zambrano"]

He laughed even harder when an Apprentice challenged Krag right off the bat... How cute. Nick would have stabbed the cretin right then and there.... But he gave the Emperor a look, as if silently acknowledging that he would allow it to play out for amusement purposes.

He walked in just time to hear the apprentice challenging the Emperor. He didn't hear the whole thing, only the first the last part that she had said. But that would have to do wouldn't it?

"You will be lucky if our Emperor decides to spare your life, weakling." Arvis said walking in behind her. He walked past the girl and walked to the edge of the wall to watch. If the Emperor did decide to accept her challenge, it would probably be over quickly. She'd probably be lucky if he gave her a quick death.

Balaya kept her eyes on @[member="Krag"] when the one spoke. She didn't even turn before speaking to the Emperor again. "You know why." Then @[member="Kathryn Dae"] was challenging Krag and Balaya actually felt her eyes go a little wide at that thought. Well that wasn't something you saw everyday and she took a step back as the dark'chyld spoke. "can't we just kill the boy for being an idiot?" "No he is unimportant, nothing more then a fly. Emperor Vulcanu's knows full well why allowing Kaine to live is a dangerous gambit. Besides the rare break out and return dark'chyld." Her smirk was on her face while focusing on the room.

"Hold your tongue, runt. I speak to those above your station."
She didn't even need to shift her focus from Krag and his throne. If she got no response from the Graug, then she would be true to the way of the Sith, and take what she wanted through an open display of power. She dared to voice herself as equal, as challenger to the Emperor. She knew she was not, yet she voiced herself anyway, and would back herself up through action. Blood would be shed. It was an outcome as certain as the rotation of the Galaxy, and inevitable expiration of all life.

Krag listened to both Zambrano's and DragonsFlame's words, they both had truth to them. Kaine was a threat, granted the two had an understanding before this all happened and it was true that the Graug were even building him a compound...but what if Krag was able to rip victory from the grasp of the Republic? What if he was able to march on Coruscant and burn it to the ground? Yes...Kaine had to die and that was just the matter of the fact. "I will accompany you to find Kaine, ready the fleets and notify me when it is done." next was his reply to DragonsFlame

"I have no time to answer the questions of a lesser right now, I have glory to find." Krag hissed. No sooner had the words left Krag's mouth did an apprentice, yet another Sith Krag knew, come up to him and issue a challenge. A malevolent smile broke across Krag's lips and slowly a thunderous chuckle became an echoing laugh that filled the throne room and the halls like the voice of the devil. Standing slowly from his throne and straightening his armor, Krag took off his helmet and threw it carelessly onto the throne so that he could look the Kathryn in the eyes.

"You have bravery, but you are still weak." Krag growled as he drew his Sith Sword, The Inferno, from its place on his armor and held it out high in front of him in a Djem So stance "I have fought beings a thousand times stronger than you and still I considered them weak. I will grind your bones to dust and drink your blood and then you will know my wraith." with no more than a slight flinch to help predict his actions, Krag took one large step toward the apprentice and swiped his blade into thin air. His sword was nowhere close enough to touch the challenger, but Krag had pulsed the force up through the sword and out of the blade. The resulting wave of force created a blade shaped arc of fire that whipped through the air and directly towards the apprentice.

A sword of fire. Apt. Yet unexpected. There was much she had to learn about Krag, yet here she was. Learning on the spot. It was a steep learning curve, one that would likely result in dismemberment, death, or some horrific combination of both. With a swift movement, Kathryn propelled herself into a sweeping motion. Her body twisted and coiled slightly while she moved, only for her to launch off the ground in a somewhat acrobatic maneuver. Her body seemed to drift over the arc of fire effortlessly - although truth be told, there was much effort in the action of throwing oneself off the ground to evade a propelled arc of fire. For a moment, Kathryn's hair blended seamlessly in with the colors of the flames, and if an artist were to draw any moment of this duel, it would likely be this. She felt the heat of the flames lick at her face and her clothing, and smelt the singe of fiber and hair where she hadn't quite cleared it. However, she had done. And she was still alive... For now. Still, this was no cause for celebration. She had Awoken the Rancor. Angered the Leviathan. Aggravated the Honey Badger. And now it really began. Landing from her acrobatic evasion of Krag's brutal attack, Kathryn realigned her body, and then proceeded to run directly at the Sith Lord. Her lightsaber was clutched in her right hand - She hoped to capitalize on her first escape from the jaws of death and take the fight to Krag before he could summon another wall of fire for her to most likely be incinerated by... They say the greatest fights must be fought head on. And this was one of those times.

Nick cracked his neck, not phased by being dismissed by Krag as rudely as he had been. Ah, but he would remember those words... He always did.

"Very well, Emperor" he said with a smirk on his face. "I will ask you of my reports of what you faced on Ossus at a later time".

No sooner did that leave his lips, did he wonder if Krag was being foolish in going after Kaine, with Zambrano. Was he not under the custody of the Jedi? This sounded like a trap, and not by the Jedi's hands... He had very little doubt in his mind that Balaya would betray Krag and use him to spring Kaine, only for them to kill this new Emperor... And if Krag fell for it, then Nick would lose the respect he had for him, in being so foolish in the face of common sense. But there was also the small likelihood of Balaya just being a conniving, selfish shrill... And they would succeed in their mission if she was. But at the same time, she would prove again what he hated about the Sith. Loyalty was dead. No Sith could trust another. And that was why the Republic and the Jedi would in time burn them to the ground....

He watched, amused as Krag began his duel with the Apprentice... How soon would he cook her for dinner?

Krag watched as the apprentice spun through the air like a crazed ballerina and he smiled as she took the forward assault on Krag. One would think that more opponents would realize the error in attack Krag head on, even the mighty Mandalore had made the same mistake during he and Krag's duel. The beast was an absolute tank and, though his moves were slow they were devastating in impact. Krag wouldn't have time to conjure more flames, so he instead brought the backside of the blade (a serrated edge) swinging towards Kathryn's left side with the force and strength of a wrecking ball.

Balaya looked at Krag as she gave a nod of her head. He coudl fight the girl while her tac pad on her wrist displayed and she started preparing. Her taloned fingers dancing over the keyboard while the ships she needed, the several ships they would require got transferred. This is Balaya Zambrano on orders from emperor Volcanus, I am assembling a fleet to go after the emperor Kaine Zambrano and am allocating the resources to Korriban. Recall the Apotheosis, Dzu'ari, The Imperator, from their commanders. The Emperor will be coming with us and the Dzu'ari will be needed for him. Bring one Tulak Hord and an interdiction vessel. Go to Thule castle and retrieve the TIE Haunter prototype for use. We will require speed over power. All requests are to go through me as this is top priority. With a snort her face showed the disinterest in it but they would need the loyal soldiers. So she planned for the next best thing. Her Slaugh from fighitng on Bastion would man as many ships as they could.

Eruna had tagged alone with her master, @[member="Balaya Zambrano"] to see the rise of this new Sith Emperor @[member="Krag"], a.k.a Darth Vulcanus. However, as she and her master had been making their way to the throne room, Eruna had to make a slight detour in order to find her astromech droid R7. It was a short delay but in the end Eruna, managing to avoid her master knowing, made it back to the throne room just in time to have seen @Kathryn Dae challenge the new emperor to a duel. She was beginning to think it bad that he hadn't been ruler for five minutes and already people were challenging him.

Then she noticed @Arvis Syphex nearby. It wouldn't be until later that she found out he was Vulcanus' apprentice, making her eventually comment with "No wonder he has so much hot air in his head." Then when Kathryn Dae had told him to hold his tongue Eruna laughed and said "You tell him, girl. You tell him." not caring if he'd heard. She knew the elders of the group would tell her to behave but even Eruna had to give credit to another for talking down to one who thought himself so mighty. Eruna had that attitude on those who thought they were so big.

Eruna followed her master to the computer console where sh watched her type in orders for assembling the fleets. As she did Eruna was curious, and also a bit worried, before leaning down to whisper her question. "Not to seem rube, master Balaya, but do you actually plan on killing Kaine or did DragonFlame have a point about you free him?"

she had seen Krag fight before. His strength was... well. In his strength. He was a brute. A hulk. A steroid fueled bipedal tank. There was no way she could parry the attack, and no way for her to survive if it hit heread on. So she dived forwards into a combat roll, hoping to avoid the wrath of the Sith Lord. Yet for all her speed, she wasn't quite quick enough yet, and she felt the tips of the blade rake against her left leg while she rolled. Krag had drawn first blood. She intended to draw last.
Not being one to allow a mere flesh wound slow her down, she span - her body was low, still crouched due to not rising up from her roll. Her lightsaber lashed out at Krags... well. Whatever it was, on a human it would have been the back of his knees, where his armor needed to be thinner and more flexible to allow proper movement.
